But I had been dreading the inspection and the oil change. We had JUST found a mechanic we liked in the last area, and then we moved. And y'all know how hard it is to find a trustworthy mechanic! I have also had a check engine light popping on and off for months, something I was worried would cost a lot of money and time to fix, and possibly prevent us from passing our yearly inspection. A family member recommended King's Auto Service. She swore up and down that they were the best! So after calling a few other local places I called King's. I liked them immediately because they were the first place to tell me that they could not give a set quote for the work we needed - it may take less or more time, and it may not be a part that has to be replaced at all, it could be something less complicated like a clog. They seemed friendly and knowledgeable. So I made the appointment and waited about 2 weeks to bring the car in. When I dropped it off the check engine light had disappeared AGAIN. But they were able to get to the bottom of it anyway (it was just a quick wiring fix and did not need to be replaced after all), give us the oil change, perform the inspection, and replace a couple of bulbs in no time at all. And the cost was reasonable! I also want to add that they have the cheapest oil changes I have seen in quite a while, a whopping $20 less than every other place I have checked. So far we are definitely happy customers, and we plan to go back for any other work the car may need. (Hopefully not TOO soon though!) Highly recommend!

He's taken good care of many of our family for years. I've gone in with a problem I feared would cost hundreds of dollars only to be summoned back with a loose wire and no charge. This shop is VERY busy. Honesty and good work is the reason. It may take several days to get your car an appointment, but you'll know that you and your car are in good hands.

They got him scheduled very quickly, and completed the work even faster than expected. The white paint match was great, and the finish was good. By luck we pulled in here, to inspect our car and get off the road. They were closed but by chance a gentleman was doing inventory or some extra work. He came out to see if we needed any help. He got on the cold snow covered ground and went to work locating the hole. He quickly determined he could patch the tire for us and did so. He could have stayed inside we would have never known he was there. We knew the facility was closed, we just pulled in to get off the road. They took my car right in (it was a Saturday afternoon) and had it done within an hour. I walked across the street (which was an adventure on the corner of Clover and Monroe) to Brueggers and then to Starbucks while I waited (which was much better than waiting in a waiting room) which was nice. I came back a little over 30 minutes later and they brought my car back out to me and I was on my way. Price wasn't bad, and I tend to trust a place like this more than a Jiffy Lube so I will definitely be back.
