Incredible Food and Even Better Service! King's Burrito absolutely blew us away! From the moment we walked in, the staff were so welcoming and attentive, their service is truly top-notch. I ordered the chilaquiles, and they were everything I needed, bursting with flavor, perfectly balanced, and made with love. My husband got the carnitas burrito, and wow... it was HUGE and loaded with tender, juicy meat and all the right toppings. The jamaica was the perfect drink to tie it all together, refreshing, sweet, and delicious. You can really tell they care about quality and their customers here. If you're looking for authentic, flavorful Mexican food with amazing service, King's Burrito is the place to go! We will definitely be coming back!!!!

I have been coming here for years it was a family owned business prior to them selling it to another family and I am so glad they still use the same recipes I came here in 8.26.24 for a quick bite during my 30 min lunch service was great and affordable

This tiny taqueria in La Habra is easy to miss if you are not specifically trying to search for it. Surprisingly, their menu board is quite comprehensive. Items include the usual: tacos, burritos, breakfast burritos, enchiladas, quesadillas, tortas, sopes, etc. They also prepare mariscos (seafood) and meat plates, and caldos (soups), including menudo on weekends. Good but limited carne (meat) choices. If you prefer braised meats over pan-fried - including the carne asada (beef steak) - you will like this place. The meats (so far, I only tried the chicken and beef) are flavorful and juicy. Everything is made-to-order - not already pre-made and sits under a heating lamp - and well plated with freshly sliced radishes, cilantro, diced onions, lime or lemon wedges and pickled jalapeno peppers. The one note-worthy menu item has to be the Torta Cubana ($11), which is absolutely humongous (can easily feed two people), meaty and delicious. Like all their menu items, it comes will a side of their salsa roja (red sauce), which gives the meats a nice spicy 'kick.' Crunchy, chewy, smoky and juicy, just a terrific sandwich. A hidden gem that is worth trying, particularly the tortas. There are a number of more established Mexican restaurants within walking distance. For my money, however, the food at King's Burrito is substantially better. CASH ONLY

Wow, cant believe how tasteful the food is wish I had a bigger appetite to get a bit of everything, and the service is impeccable very friendly my wife and I were thinking of getting some birria taco but the lady came and brought my wife and I to try one each for free, prices are also great can't say enough about this restaurant, it's definitely a must try.

Under new ownership check out my review for King's Burrito Negrete. I will also leave it here. The owners are friendly, food is really good. I had the chilaquiles rojos with beans and eggs. My daughter had sopita de fideo with veggies and chicken and she loved it! My mom had caldo de res and it was really good too. They now accept credit cards...yeay!!

Great service! Food tastes amazing, the owners are very friendly and welcoming to their customers!

True hidden gem. Service was good. The owner is kind. Can be a bit blunt but he appears to deal with a good amount of crap. Burrito asada is puny here. I tasted too much tortilla so i pulled it apart to eat like a chicken bowl. Asada was really good. Asada didnt have too much salt which is my preference. the beans were nice. They had actual beans rather than the typical mashed up beans. This is good cause it wasnt watery. Pastor is amazing. Im a get a pastor burro next time. I had a pastor taco and it was typical size. The jalapeno dry pepper was dekush. You have to wait 30 sec then it kicks in. The chile was ok. Not too much spice. Might be commercialized. I couldnt tell. The location is west of walnut on the north block. Street parking. Look for the jesus lord sign. Basically right after u pass walnut blvd, park asap. If u pass northgate on the opposite side, u passed burro king. If u dont mind the mexican evangelical in the radio then eating in is good Value was bout average. My bill was $10 for a burro, taco and can soda. Cash only.

There are plenty of private parking lot. Once you open the door, the entire restaurant was packed with customers. There were plenty of servers whom greeted you and get you seated right away. They were pleasant and very nice I am amazed on how much different entrees were on the menu. Everything we ordered came in a huge hot plate that could be shared for 2 people. We order the beef taco, enchiladas, and chili relleno. All the entrees come with rice and fried beans. I also liked that they don't put too much salt so you can add salt to your liking. I felt the prices were reasonable as well. For a party of 5, our total bill was about $80 which also included tax and tip. We also ended up taking 2 boxes of food to go. Don't forget to order Horchata too!

It was one of those places where everything just worked -- the lighting, the vibe, the energy. We recently drove by and saw that it has closed permanently, which honestly made me really sad. Even though the restaurant is small and busy, we were seated right away, which was a great start. Our waiter Washington, was fantastic, friendly, attentive, and made our whole experience even better. The atmosphere was perfect too. They had music playing at just the right volume and a big TV showing the live Dodger game, which the kids loved. We started with chips and salsa. The salsa had the perfect level of spice for everyone at the table. The kids ordered horchatas and were excited about the unlimited refills (something you don't always see at other restaurants!). The drinks for the adults were just as impressive. My wife's watermelon margarita on the rocks was perfectly made. It was not overly sweet or syrupy like at some places. Our friends had the "El Jefe" margaritas, and they definitely didn't skimp on the tequila! For dinner, everything was a hit. The kids loved their meals. Albóndigas soup, shrimp tacos, and street tacos--all served with rice and beans. The adult dishes were just as good. The carne asada arrachera was cooked perfectly, the chile verde was full of flavor, and my chicken mole was delicious with a great balance of spicy and sweet without being overwhelming. The portions were very generous, and everything came with rice, beans, and both corn and flour tortillas. The only small thing I would've preferred differently was the chicken in my mole. I personally would've liked a leg and thigh instead of sliced chicken breast but the dish was still very good overall. What really stood out was the hospitality. At the end of the meal, Washington offered us "holy water"-house tequila shots on the house--and it wasn't cheap tequila either! Then after the bill came, he surprised us again with another round of "holy water". That level of generosity and care really impressed us. We also learned that the restaurant has been there 20+ years and is family-run by him and his siblings, which made the experience feel even more personal. You can tell they have a loyal customer base--one couple even said, "See you tomorrow Washington!" The only feedback we'd offer (coming from a customer service background) is that we noticed a few guests waiting at the entrance without being greeted, and one couple actually left the restaurant. A simple "Welcome, we'll be right with you" would go a long way. That said, it didn't take away from our experience. Overall, amazing food, great service, generous portions, and a welcoming family atmosphere. We will definitely be back to try more of their menu!

The idea was to enjoy my coffee while getting organized--paying bills, planning calendar events, and having the opportunity to focus without any distractions from my usual surroundings. In search of the perfect spot, I turned to Yelp, a reliable resource for uncovering hidden gems nearby. Upon stepping into the coffee shop, I was immediately greeted with warm hospitality, setting the tone for a delightful experience. The ambiance of the place was truly captivating--it was bright and welcoming, infused with an aesthetic charm that instantly put me at ease. I couldn't help but be intrigued by the design elements throughout the shop, which added an inviting touch to its overall atmosphere. Before I settled in, I asked the staff if I could snap a few photos to capture the essence of this delightful space. They graciously welcomed my request, and I was shown to my table, which, quite uniquely, was designated by a number--a small detail that I found charming. As I browsed the menu, I encountered a small conundrum: I wasn't entirely sure what to order. I wanted to break the mold and try something out of the ordinary. My curiosity was piqued by their exclusive offering of Café de la Olla--a traditional hot drink that piqued my interest right away. I ultimately settled on a hearty plate that included rice, beans, and enticing potato tostones, accompanied by two beautifully cooked sunny-side-up eggs. As I waited for my order, I noticed the café was filled with the sweet sounds of old-school music from the '60s and '70s, which only enhanced the cozy ambiance while I sipped my drink. Now, let's talk about the food! I must say, I rated the café itself a solid 4 out of 5 for its overall charm, while the rice earned a respectable 4 out of 5. The beans were rich in flavor and received a fair 3.9 out of 5. The potato tostones, delicately bathed in a savory red sauce, stood out with an impressive score of 4.3 out of 5--these are a must-try if you visit! And as for the sunny-side-up eggs, they were good, but hey, eggs are eggs, right? Overall, the entire experience was quite enjoyable, from the delightful food to the warm atmosphere. A special shout-out goes to Ana, whose exceptional customer service made my visit even more memorable. The combination of fantastic service, inviting aesthetics, and satisfying food truly made for a perfect morning retreat. I can't recommend this spot enough for anyone looking for a relaxing place to unwind and focus on what matters.
