This is such an overdue review! I have been going here for over 10 years! There are sooo many reasons to love this church! For one, they live what they preach and the pastor would never tell you to do something or give to something that he wouldn't! Our Senior Pastors, Dr. James and Colleen Marocco are 100% all the time! Worship is no joke!!! It goes beyond the lights, it's literally the Holy Spirit that leads worship! There are soo much things that KC does that goes above and beyond your expectations for a church. Let's start with the amazing parking lot team! All first time guest are given special parking right in front of the entrance! You are taken into the front, where amazing greeters will welcome you as you enter! Our decor is always on fleeek! Right now, we have an amazing Christmas Themed lobby. They have a cute cafe area with specialty drinks, fresh cooked breakfast and lunch before and after services! Our food is freshly made by an amazing chef back there with her amazing Team! follow their IG @Kingscafeoahu! The food always sells out so get it quickly after service! Let's not forget the famous chocolate chip cookies!!!! Sooo good, and as a new comer, you are given a free cookie and beverage of your choice. Did i mention we even have Keto coffee? Or, a specialty drink created by one of the specialist, The MANA!!! Mmmmmm... I guess you would have to check it out to see what it is.. The church is very involved with the community too! They do food distribution about 2 times a month(subject to change). They did a Christmas Angel Tree donation where we exceeded our goal to reach those in need! They are all about giving. Again, their leaders don't tell you to do something they wouldn't do! There is soo many more reasons to go, but... one thing is for sure, you won't go to a service and leave without something you need to hear!!! God always has a message for you, rather it's for an event, like a Christmas Play(happening this weekend), or just to check it out... I pray that the Lord will bless you on this visit! We have been praying for a community church after attending another church across the island for years. During COVID, it was so disheartening not being able to worship in person, so when we received an invitation to go (as it's been open), we decided to try it out. Can't believe it took us so long to come here after driving past it everyday for 12 years! I've been blown away at how loving everyone has been, making every attempt to know our names and making sure we feel welcome every single time. They truly shine the love and light of Christ from the top down, and you can tell they are for the hearts of the people, not their personal agenda. They are Holy Spirit filled and driven. The messages are rooted in the Word-- there isn't any kind of pretense, and they truly preach the gospel. The worship is awesome and contemporary. The pastors are extremely approachable and available, full of joy, and it is apparent that they lead a healthy flock. Plus, they're funny without even trying. Our children (10 and 6) love the children's ministry and say it's the best church they've ever been to. And their cafe is simply icing on the cake-- their coffee is delicious (and you can take it in to service!), plus their snacks and acai bowls are always fresh and delicious. So happy to say that our family has finally found our home, right in our East Oahu community. read more

This place is home away from home. Everyone there is super kind and loving. It's super easy to get connected into God's presence and find people that you'll love! Awesome and vibrant church. Great community, preaching and worship. Praying church that is lead by the Holy Spirit.

Located in Nui Valley Shopping Center. It's really not hard to miss when you're driving by, You'll definitely see it. I've come a few times as a guest for events. There's is lots of parking but due how much people frequent this, parking does fill up fast. From what i recall, This used to be called Kings Cathedral but had a name change to its current name Kings Chapel. Although i don't belong to this church, This church is very welcoming to guest as they encourage all to join. It's amazing that they do a lot of charity work and host tons of events. They're very family oriented and really loves to take care of it's community. Big hall with lots of seating. There is a little "daycare" in there. They have sunday school, Preschool, and other services. Pretty awesome. If youre looking to find a new religion or just searching, I recommend giving this one a try. I love this church. I was baptized catholic as a child, but never stayed in church. I strayed far from GOD for a long time. Recently I found myself wanting to reconnect and strengthen my relationship with GOD and to find a church that made me feel like a belonged and could come there without judgment of my past and having been out of church for so long. A friend of mines took to me King's Chapel Niu Valley a few months ago. And I've been going ever since. I've even join a young adults life group and I have been bringing my grandmother to church with me for about a month now and we both love it so much. I live in the pearl city/aiea area and when I tell some people that I drive all the way to the Hawaii Kai area for church they are shocked. They say things like how come you don't find a church close to home? Why would you drive so far? And my answer to that is 1) No drive (especially on a island as small as Oahu) is too far to worship the lord as Jesus died in the cross for our sins, so his love for us had no limitations and driving a little farther ain't worth limiting my reach and love for our lord and savior. 2) When you find somewhere that you feel like is home, is your safe place for worship, that you feel called to speaking for myself I don't see myself wanting to look elsewhere. From the first service I went to King's Chapel Pastor Josh Marocco spoke some serious life onto everyone in the church and for myself personally I felt like - wow I was really meant to be here hearing these words in this moment now. Each service they we worship in song, scripture and they ask everyone of the church if you need a miracle whether it be in finances, healing, breakthrough, etc. you just raise your hand and one of the many ministering pastors will pray over you. Which I loved so much and my first few services my eyes flooded with tears which is okay. When service was over Pastor Shannon Marocco greeted my so warmly. I had explained to her that I strayed away for years and am on my journey to finding my way back. And with no of hesitation or judgment she accepted me, loved me and prayed over me once more and as I received those blessings, I could feel the Holy Spirit passing through me. I'll start off by saying I have never before gone to a church that has kept me from looking at my phone, until I came here. Your too busy having fun worshiping the lord and learning the word to notice the time. Its awesome! I've been coming here for about 4 years and counting and my kids love it as well. The childrens ministry take good care of both my children during service and they have learned so much about the bible and always have new songs to sing for me after church. I have seen so much growth within the church and love to see people come in and make KC their home church and I definitely encourage everyone I know to come here. Worship service is on Sunday mornings at 10am and if you can't make it in the morning there is also a night service at 6pm. They also have service on Tuesday nights at 7pm. Service usually lasts about an hour half which sounds long, but believe me it doesn't feel that long at all. read more

I've been attending Kings Chapel for a little over three years now and I can honestly it has changed my life. Well, Jesus changed my life, but it was through the use of this humble and amazing Church. I was in a really difficult transition period in my life, I hadn't been to church in years and was going through all sorts of issues personally and at work. God finally got a hold of my heart and that's when I found Kings Chapel. I had been planning on leaving the island and going to the mainland somewhere to try to figure out my next steps...but once I started attending Kings I just knew I couldn't leave. They encouraged me and came along side me, and helped me to grow past my issues. All the while helping me to come to grips with things I had wrestled with in my faith. I praise God for a Church that is not only there to comfort, but to help you grow and step into purpose and destiny in your life. So whether you've been a Church goer your whole life, are just beginning your Christian walk or you just want to know more about God I highly recommend Kings Chapel! More people need to know more about this awesome church in East Honolulu. If you are driving from downtown to Hawaii Kai, it is easy to miss the Kings Chapel sign. It is located at the same spot where the old Times Supermarket used to be. If you are headed west in the opposite direction, you'll whiz right past it. Why would the parking lot be packed on a Sunday morning? Because a lot of people are excited about what's going on in the church, that's why! As soon as you walk from the parking lot to the front door, there are already people outside to greet you. Even at other churches, you are made to feel like an outsider. But not at this Kings Chapel church. The people here seem genuinely sincere in wanting to serve you. There is very little that seems fake about this church. When you are in the church, the praise and worship immediately gives you a sense of peace and joy. All the outside distractions just seem to fade away, as the pastor preaches about the Holy Spirit and the power of the Word. We need more of the real Jesus like you find at Kings Chapel. The young couple and his staff take the time to meet and greet you and make you feel like you are part of the family. We definitely feel like this is where we need to be! read more
