King's Kids preschool is definitely a gem in our neighborhood in Newark. I sent my two girls there and now my third one is currently attending in panda bear class with Mrs. Margaret. She's very patient and she always communicates with me. The way she speaks to kids is very soft and gentle, just like Miss Abby and Ms. Hailey. My favorite part of KKP is that they have a very big playground with swings and slides, a climbing dome, pretend to play kitchens, sand boxes and a huge grass area for kids to run around and do many different activities like parachute time, bubbles and picnic. I am glad we get to know most of staffs through out these years and I know my daughter is always in good hands with them. read more

We absolutely love King's Kids! Our son started at the beginning of 2026. This was his first time going to a preschool and he adapted so well thanks to the caring staff! He is currently in the Panda Bear class with Mrs. Margaret & Miss Yoselin. They are both extremely kind, loving, and communicative. He always says he has the best day when he gets in the car! When we were looking for preschools, a playground was a must. Theirs is hands down the best in the area. If you have a youngster who likes to run and needs some outdoor time, KKP is the perfect place! They also send frequent pictures so I can see the various activities my son is doing throughout the day. Always fun to see! The director and staff here are very knowledgeable and kind teachers who are clearly qualified and passionate about their field. We appreciate their love and dedication to making the early years a memorable, smooth, and enjoyable experience. We love Kings Kids! The teachers and director are wonderful and nurturing. I love how the preschool is Christian based, close to our house, and reasonably priced. They are very organized and always send out monthtly newsletter/calender of what the kids are learning. They also has a lot of outside activites- Christmas performance, easter events, science night, etc... KKP was such a blessing to our son & family! It was his first away from home experience (attended from 2.5-3.5yrs) and he loved it and grew so much from his time there. The teachers are amazing & incredibly nurturing, and the intimate environment/class sizes were so helpful for his growth and being comfortable in a school environment. This is a long overdue review. We switched from a home daycare to a preschool to get our son acclimated to a classroom setting before he went into Kinder. It was an extremely hard and emotional decision for me. I was nervous bringing him thinking he would miss his friends from daycare. Miss MaryLou and Miss Jesenia made the transition so much easier. They let my son come and do a tour and meet the staff. We decided to enroll him at KKP and we have never regretted it a single day. In fact, he's about to enter first grade and he still goes back for summer break and holidays. The teachers are all so caring, we have loved every single one. My son went into Kinder well prepared for the curriculum and even ahead of the curve on several things. Our family loves Kings Kids Preschool! We use to live 40 minutes away when our oldest attended. Now we are blessed to live in the same neighborhood while our third child attends daily. He absolutely loves it! They have been incredibly careful with keeping everyone safe during this season and it really feels like family. Absolutely love this school. I enrolled my first son here when he was 3. He always brought home a bunch of cute artwork and learned good values. The teachers were all kind and understanding towards him. He is now 8 and thriving at his elementary. I recently enrolled my second son this year. All the staff welcomed us with open arms. I am beyond grateful for this school!! My son started in the Sun Bear class over a year ago and the entire staff is like his family. Where do I start? Well, they rose to the challenges of schooling and child development during Covid-19 by opening a Kinder Academy. My son has IEPs and extra Zoom sessions and they have worked so so hard to give him every thing he needs to succeed. He loves his teachers and is often disappointed when it's the weekend. He wants to go to school! He has always struggled w cognitive skills and the fact he loves school so much means the world to me. They focus on kindness, character and being a good little citizen. That's a huge priority for me. They are kind and care so much about the kiddos. We have experience w being at schools that don't fit. KKP is very inclusive. A couple other preschools felt my son would not be a good fit due to his differing learning abilities and speech and language issues. One preschool admitted him but placed him in a younger class. KKP always let me know they my son was wanted there and they worked w him so much!! The caring and creativity in helping him be included in a class of his peers was amazing. I'm in nursing leadership at a children's hospital and have been working the entire pandemic. I never feel stressed at work because I know they are caring for him. It really means the world to me! I am astounded at how much he has learned and developed with the help of KKP. This has been a long overdue review. It's a nice school run by the neighborhood church apparently. The premises are nice, clean, secure and safe at the same time. And the doors get locked after 15 minutes of drop off time.. then you have to ring the bell to get a staff member to let you in and sign in and drop your kid off if you're late past 15 minutes.And also they give you the look like you've committed a sin. Very inflexible with drop off times even though it's just a day care/pre-school. They do a lot of outdoor play and art activities with the kids which is great but the curriculum is not academic at all, they barely teach anything educational if comparing it to a Montessori or Challenger school programs, the sole focus is on outdoor teaching connecting that to in class learning, like the butterfly life cycle and growing seeds to plants, rest is story time , indoor play and minimal pencil paper usage. Most of the teachers are great and quite patient with the kids except Ms. Faith, she can be quite intolerant, impatient and rather rude to not just the kids, but parents too. The school does have a Christian bent to it, so if you are an atheist or non-Christian, it may be a thing to consider, unless of course you are religiously tolerant, which may be a good thing for a child as well, to learn diversity and religious tolerance. read more

My son went here for a year and in retrospect, I really wish I pulled him out sooner. The facility is nice and they have a lot of fun things for the kids however, I feel they are not reasonable with expectations of young children. They made me feel like my 4 year old son was not normal when he behaved like most boys do at his age. I felt harassed at times when talking with the teachers and then the director multiple times for issues that were minor. I wish they asked us to leave instead of harassing us. When I met with the director, she was unorganized and couldn't even tell me why I was there. I had to leave work for this multiple times. Since leaving there my sons behavior has improved dramatically. On the last weeks Ms Faith had to put a dig in every morning. She went as far to ask me where my son is going next and that she knew that teacher. She said to me that she will be sure to let her know, what's she's getting. Really? My son can't move on, you have to ruin his reputation before starting kindergarten? That is just wrong and you are teaching these young children?! My four year old child started at King's Kids in the fall of 2013. I researched several preschools in the Fremont/Newark area prior to enrollment. King's Kings was my top choice by far. Aside from the curriculum and Christian environment (our family is Catholic), the physical environment, schedule flexibility and pricing/value were the deciding factors. Our experience so far has been WONDERFUL. 1. Curriculum/School Structure - Classrooms are divided appropriately by age. They take kids that are potty trained (no earlier than 2.5 y/o) so it is a true preschool not a daycare. I love hearing about the different "job" my child has each day (calendar person or the bible person). They give kids opportunity to practice speaking in front of a group through sharing days. Their extended care in the morning and afternoon is seamless. Morning and afternoon snacks are included. 2. Teachers/Staff - The teachers and staff are wonderful. With the small class sizes they really get to know my child. I feel completely safe knowing my kid is there with nurturing teachers. The director is also very responsive to emails. 3. Parent Resources/Website - Parents are well informed of the annual schedule as well as themes of the week/month through parent newsletters and annual calendar. Their website provides parent resource information (newsletters and other event info). During my research, the content on other preschool websites was strictly about selling the school to prospective members. Compare the King's Kids website to other schools and you'll see a huge difference. 4. School Layout & Outdoor Play Area - I like the simple layout of the school. This is a must see. It's all about the kids and the teachers without all the administration in the way. Their outdoor play area is huge and contains a large grass area, swings, play structures, sitting area, a shaded sandbox, and pavement for riding tricycles. It is WAY better than other schools I've toured. It is also very private and secured, yet feels very open and spacious. 5. Flexibility - I only wanted to start my child with two days a week. King's Kids Preschool was the ONLY school that allowed flexibility for the parent to select school days. I was NOT bound to T/TH or a MWF schedule. That indicates to me that they are considerate of family schedules and not just maximizing revenue. 6. Special Events - The school has several special events such as a harvest festival and Christmas program. They are very simple, but so memorable and fun. The church associated with the school offers monthly movie nights which offers good family fun. By the way, the school does not pressure you to attend their church at all. We go to another church and there isn't any awkwardness. I feel that this school provided a well rounded preschool experience for my child. Oh by the way, my kid loves this place. read more

We recently moved to Fremont and chose to place my daughter at Kings Kids. The school is well secure and teachers are friendly and caring. My daughter has Ms. Faith and Ms. Lisa and we love them, though every teacher we have come across with Kings Kids has been wonderful. My daughter is pretty shy when it comes to new places and took about a week to warm up but she absolutely loves it there. Compared to her previous school, she has learned a lot more in the short time she has been there. As parents, we felt very comfortable leaving our children with such caring staff and there is such a beautiful backyard for kids to play in. Our preschool experience prior to Kings Kids wasn't amazing, so it was such a relief to go somewhere that we felt sure of. They are welcoming, accepting and can be flexible. We aren't religious, but felt comfortable having the kids there because much of the religious lessons seemed to be moral and character building lessons, which was nice. This review was based on our experience in 2016 / 2017. If your children could not speak English, then think twice before enrollment. My daughter started preschool here last September and I couldn't be any happier. She had 3 GREAT teachers Ms. Marylou, Ms. Vanessa and Ms. Sarah(who is no longer there). My daughter had a hard time at drop off in the morning but all her teachers made her feel loved and comforted her. The classrooms are very clean and the playground area is really nice. I'm really impressed of how much my daughter has learned and when she comes home how happy she is to tell me about her school day. Nothing is more important than your kids so after researching half a dozen strong options, we chose Kings Kids as our daughters pre-school. One of our nephews started coming here and our cousin raved on how good the staff, structure, and culture is. I love the Christian values balance and academics they instill while also keeping parents involved with optional events. Tuition is competitive and they have flexible half day or part time options in case you want to ease in the program. I cant say enough about this place!! IT IS AMAZING!!!! We were sort of transplanted here from an incredibly negative situation . We were basically told that our son was "toubled" and "unable to conform" I had a very honest and heart felt conversation with Carol , the director of this school, and I really felt for the first time in a long time that I was actually speaking to someone who generally wanted to make things work for my son. We have been there for 6 weeks now and my son is a different person. Not saying he is perfect by any means just handeled differnetly by a loving nuturing staff of people who are dedicated to his success. I toured numerous preschools and I kept coming back to this school. I was reluctant b/c of it being religious as I'm an atheist. But I kept hearing great recommendations from numerous parents and I had such a good feeling while touring that I finally gave in. My daughter LOVES it! This was her first time really apart from me and she did great her first day- no tears. The teachers truly care for the kids and give them special attention when needed. It is play based learning at it's best. She does lots of arts and crafts, learns letters and numbers of the week, gets outdoor play, sings songs, and gets to socialize with other children. She comes home excited to tell me what she learned, friends she made, and sings me the songs they sing. Yes, there is bible time but the lessons taught are essentially how to be a good person and be kind to others. There is no push to join the associated church. read more

My daughter goes to preschool for the first time from this summer. She was very nervous and anxious because she spoke Japanese at home and didn't know much English. First couple of weeks, she cried at drop offs and sometimes during her classes. I was so worried about her. But an amazing teacher, Ms.Mary Lou, helped my daughter a lot! She was always very friendly and caring. I can tell that she loooves kids from her heart. She tried to make my daughter feel comfortable at classes. After summer school, she is not afraid of school anymore! Both my children attended this preschool 2012-2016. The school had lots of fun special events when the director Carol was there. Then the new director came on board and the events seemed to lessen,. The director Heather is very kind and nice. We loved Ms. Mary Lou the best. She was the one teacher that was encouraging and supportive. It was an overall good experience. However, the teachers except for Mary Lou were very concerned if you had a quiet shy child. They would always have to point it out in the yearly evaluations. One teacher was so concerned that my son needed a little extra help or instructions. She brought up her concern too late and right before he was going into Kindergarten. She made such a big deal about a minor issue. She had me so concerned and worried that I sought a counselor's evaluation . The counselor sent a packet to be filled out by the teacher. When we went back to find out the results she said she was not concerned after her evaluation and especially after reviewing the teacher's response. She said the teacher ranked my child off the charts inattentive. She said she did not believe the teacher because if that were true my child would not have been learning as much as he did and they would have a lot of problems with him. Looking back I wish I just ignored the teacher's concerns and trusted my child was ok. Because he was fine and he learned a lot and made friends while he was there. He is now a honor roll student and has been loved by all of his elementary teachers since. Every time he gets an excellent report card I feel like sending a copy to the preschool to show them how wrong they were. They like to say everyone learns at their own pace but if the child is quiet or needs a little extra help they turn it into a big deal and make you feel like something is wrong. Ms. Faith pointed out that my daughter was quiet and did not engage during circle time. So I went the next day to observe because I didn't want it to escalate into a bigger deal. Ms. Iris said she was ok and I didn't need to worry but I told her I wanted to observe since it was brought up during her evaluation. I watched as my daughter sat quietly and listened to the story while the other kids fidgeted and looked around the room. My daughter participated in the sensory bin that was passed around. She just wasn't loud or one to raise her hand. Teachers need to learn not every child is loud and outgoing and that is OK! There are children who have quieter personalities. Also, my son who was ranked off the charts inattentive by a teacher at the preschool and who the teacher said they could not help, scored mostly above standards on his report card and high on the state testing. He received first prize in the Young Authors writing contest. My daughter is receiving excellent grades and is loved by her teachers as well. The kids have good memories of this school. I try not to taint their memories with some of the last memories I have. They learned and made friends. I enjoyed watching their Christmas show and seeing them sing cute songs. We loved and Ms. Mary Lou. Because she was encouraging and knew each child was different. The director Heather was nice and understanding. The teachers need to do better regarding kids who aren't exactly the same as everyone else and who have different learning styles and personalities. They also need to make sure they bring issues up earlier before the child is due to Start Kindergarten and learn how to accurately fill out ADHD evaluation forms instead of ranking a child off the charts. read more

Love Love LOVE this preschool. My daughter has been going there for a year now and will be leaving for kindergarten next month and I can honestly say that I will miss it and she will too. I recommend it to all of my friends. The school itself is clean and set up nicely, the outdoor area is big and there is plenty of supervision, the curriculum and activities that they do are relevant and executed well. Everyday when I pick up my daughter I find her smiling and happy, and I am amazed by how much she learns there. She is very well prepared for kindergarten now after being at Kings Kids, both scholastically and socially. But, the most important comment that I can say about Kinds Kids is that ALL of the teachers and staff there are awesome. They all seem to enjoy their jobs and genuinely care about the children.
