Terrible apartment my vehicle was towed multiple times without reason and apartment was broken into

Units are okay but the overall complex is run down. The gate has been broken since June with no communication on when it will be working again and the hallways are stained and dirty. You pay luxury living prices but do not get the luxury living experience. read more

Update from first moving in: This is a Beautiful Property and very nice Amenities and staff. Excluding the Assistant Manager Bree. Building 9 is a one bedroom complex and is very very noisy, they have kids running up and down the stairs and hallway on weekends especially. Playing around residents vehicles. The man above me is a nightmare, and I have reported him several times. He wakes up at 3 am to work out and move his furniture around like a nut. He paces the floor all time of the night and day stumping causing my kitchen lights to move. I have never lived above a person that paces the floor 24 hours a day. He sometimes go to work other than that he's very noisy 90% of the time. Last but not least the you cannot work from home due to the power outages they have. This apartment complex has electrical issues and the power goes off on a hot sunny day. They also should have a dog policy of leaving your dog in the house for so many hours. My neighbor leaves her dog for hours and he crying and moaning all day. Another reason you can't work from home is due to all the barking as well. Kings Landing is a beautiful property but a lot of problems and issues are not addressed or residents are not held accountable. the Fair Housing Laws needs to be implemented. read more

Do NOT rent here. The apartments are nice, but the management will only work with you until you move out. Once you move you move out, the staff or maintenance will purposely dirty your apartment to make you pay extra. The staff will charge you when you move out and will not give you a deposit back even if you get your own cleaning crew. They also lose your own inventory form that you fill out at the beginning of moving in. The front gate never works. It is always broken. The lights in the hallway are always broken. The elevator is very slow at all times, and when it breaks down, it takes months to fix. The office area closes at a certain time rather than being open after hours even with fob access. Cars are broken in at all times, and they don't care. The apartments smell like throughout all hallways and even in your apartment, and the staff (manager and assistant manager) doesn't care because they say you sign for odors to be okay. Overall, management is not willing to work with you, and the main one is always on her high horse. She also lets you know that you can bring your emotional support animal (dogs) at no charge, but then she charges you a pet cleaning fee and pet damages even though they aren't caused by the pets. Anything you sign at the beginning of the lease varies towards the end. They are liars, and are just trying to make a profit off you. The property manager is buddy buddy with the owner, and she'll use that as a way to not work with you. Do not rent here. Everything may be smooth at first, but they'll want to charge you for everything upon moving out. 0 stars. read more

Where to begin. We have been living here for almost a year and within the first 4 days of living here my car got towed. Their machine was broken and they failed to give me a temporary parking tag that would allow me to park in my own apartment complex for more than 4 days. Fast forward my ice maker stopped working back in May and to date it is now November still haven't gotten it fixed. Maintenance requests here are a joke. There's a chance they may or may not fix what you put in since when you reach out for previous issues the requests seem to have "never" been put in. Fine I can get over my car being towed and the lack of attention/ efficiency the maintenance crew puts in along with an office that says they're going to do something about your problems then turn around and don't follow up with residents and pretend that issues are new. But the thing that made me give this deteriorating complex a one star is finding mice and mice poop here. Brought this issue up with picture evidence to the office and you guessed it. I was told they would correct this issue right away. Well it's been 3 and a half weeks since I let them know and no one has followed up with me. I have not received any emails, notes, not even a visit to rectify this. So if you love a place that looks like it's falling apart (trees laying on the ground knocked over, grass that never gets cut or when it does is patchy, entrance and exit gates breaking down all the time) or just want some furry little critters that chew your things and poop all over the place this mice infested place might just be for you. "Luxury" living is definitely a stretch but they love promoting it. Don't be fooled the only luxury here is that it's reasonably priced or at least was affordable until they raised the rent. I've lived in college and military dorms more luxurious than this place which should tell you something. The only kings landing here are the ones with four legs. Would give 0 stars if possible. read more

I love it here everything is perfect no complaints and I'm usually a tough critic , but staff answers the phone every-time I call they know us by name and apt number always nice I love Ryan he is the best, Doug is awesome ! I have been a good standing resident for almost 3 years :). It's been bittersweet as this was my first apartment as I was forced to move out due to my father passing. These people are fake to you when you bring up real issues as paying residents. They take their sweet time with maintenance requests even when it's an emergency like my A.C leaking onto my bathroom floor and being told it's fine, only to have it leak months after all over my bathroom floor. You can see how that's a problem in Texas now I was afraid of mold or rust in my bathroom but they could care less. I complained about black mold on each of the air vents including the restroom in the 24 hour gym. I was under minded and told I wasn't a "mold expert". Doesn't take an expert to identify black mold. Management told me through emails that the situation I have brought to her attention would be taken care of. They were ignored for 5 months. I have taken pictures of the black mold in the 24 hr gym every month since I complained in September of last year until February of this year. I brought all of these acts of negligence to their attention when my lease renewal was increased more than last year's. I asked how can they justify my rent increase when they have been negligent regarding the safety of me and every other resident. Their response to my concerns were to audaciously give me a lease violation accusing me of falsely claiming their was mold in the 24 hr gym haha. I suggest if you want to save the stress of dealing with a greedy, discriminatory property management team...I would skip the apartment tour at this place :). read more

The management is horrible horrible horrible. Do not rent here. The elevators are constantly being vandalized. They dont work. They take months to repair. The pool is dirty ( pink eye) is constantly closed. Never open during posted hours. The hallways arent cleaned. Food has been in the hallway for months. The front gate is always broken and left open. No security. Cars are constantly being broken into. Once i forgot my key, left my door unlocked. Maintenance came in and locked me out. After work, i called the office. Laura, the manager called back and told me to get a lock smith or stay at a hotel overnight at my own expense. Maintenance lives on property, she would not allow them to open my apartment even though they locked me out. The refrigerator electrical fuse constantly blows. They will not reimburse you for spoiled food. The complimentary trash pick up is inconsistent. Corporate does not return calls nor resolve issues. All issues are punted back down to the office manager who does nothing. FDI should have their contract terminated. Do not rent here read more

Moved in August of 2017. Northeast gate broke, so they just closed it off instead of repairing it. Elevator on the north side broke months ago, no signs of repair. Not enough parking so guests have to park in the street or purchase a parking pass. Huge trucks also park on the street constantly, essentially turning it into a one way road with no signage, making it dangerous at the curve near the gas station. Treadmills in the workout area have built in televisions that were supposed to be hooked up, but that's never happened. Residents put lattice all over their balcony with no regard for lease violations, because they are not enforced. In spite of all of this, your rent will continue to increase yearly. No reward for loyalty. read more

The apartments are nice, they have a modern look to them and are very open. However when you look closer they were poorly put together on the inside, just minor details all over, guest don't notice when they come over. Parking has been an issue since day one, even when I asked before signing the lease if there was a parking issues, to which I was told no that parking isn't an issue. At first the office staff was very welcoming and nice, then once we had a few issues things changed. They would say they would fix things and they wouldn't, they would basically tell you oh well after that. Now I will admit I got frustrated one time and used ONE bad word, however it's VERY frustrating when you spend this much for rent and get told, oh well or we will take care of it and it never gets taken care of. Then when you speak to the manager she tells you that you are very unprofessional and in the same breath says "write a bad review, call my corporate office. I don't care" especially when I never mentioned doing either of those things. I did decide to call corporate and at first I didn't get a response so then I reach up to the head of the property management company and got results THE SAME DAY! I give it three stars because the property management company handled every issue instantly, the assistant manager of the property is great and so is the maintenance team. read more

If i could this place zero star i would. The complex is nice and there is one reasonable leasing agent at the property her name is Kirby Garcia. The leasing managers are horrible. My application was denied due to the ASSUMPTION that i was attempting to falsify information. The person was Donald Cooper. Once the email was sent i attempted to call to clarify any misconceptions. They stop taking my calls. After about 20 unanswered calls I physically went into the office to provide proof. Once he meet me at the desk he did not even the courtesy or respect to pull me in his office for privacy he was instantly very hostile. I asked would he like for me to provide bank statements of proof of the job or my W2 to show the job is legit he instantly told me you are just denied. He did not even give the chance or benefit of doubt to call the manager of my job to get clarification. The conversation then escalated because he was being for hostile and i let him know that he was being racist, prejudice, and unfair and that i already explained everything to the leasing agent i was already processing with(Kirby) he did not care. His coworker then threaten to call a courtesy officer in which i told her to do so and he continued to insult me with inaccurate information. To which i left out of the door and as i was leaving he once again insulted me telling me what i provided was false and he also threaten to call the police on me. I had to let him know that not all black people are afraid of the police. If you like to do business with hostile management then this is the place for you. read more
