Extremely bad. I went to this salon for years until this happened last time I got my nails done over the summer. The technician asked if I wanted long or short nails. I said long. She then proceeded to rush carelessly and aggressively through it. I said something to her because she was not only doing a very bad job on my nails, but also hurting my cuticles. The more I said anything to her about the work she was doing, the more it seemed to get worse. I made a comment to her about it hurting, and she replied with "well you should have let me know when you made the appointment that you wanted long nails because I have someone else waiting and I didn't have time to do long nails." I honestly would have been fine with short nails if she told me that from the beginning, so I don't understand why she offered it if she didn't have time. I was practically in tears before it ended. When I tried to get my money back the next day, she tried to say it was my fault it turned out like that because "I wouldn't stay still" which was absolutely not true. I might have winced AFTER she had already made multiple cuticles bleed. I was absolutely speechless that she let me walk out with my nails looking like this. It's sad because this has always been my go-to nail salon, but now I will never go back.

My daughter and I went here for nail services on June 1, 2022. I got gel manicure and regular pedi, and she an acrylic fill with gel polish. The bill was $110, when just down the road it was $120 for a full set for her, then gel mani, regular pedi, and eyebrow wax for myself. My nails look like my young niece did them. The sides have no polish, some of my skin still has polish not cleaned off. The tools were not sterilized. I would not recommend this nail salon as it was an overall unprofessional experience.

I rarely give nail salons a shout because it bores me , quite frankly. Id much rather discuss anything OTHER than an activity where I am forced to sit still at length and pretend I dig it. I HATE GETTING MY NAILS AND TOES DONE! LOL I only do it because I like the result, but my ADHD usually finds this process to be EXCRUCIATING! :) Having gotten that outta my system, this lil place out in the boonies of Silver Spring, deserves a shout for one technician. Sara. Ive gone to hundreds of nail shops, had scads of nail techs and believe me when I say it is hard to find a tech that can replicate all the cool crap you all see on pinterest or the latest Real Housewife, LOL but Sara can pretty much duplicate any design you bring her, and well. She amazed me with the ability to leap from conservative monochromatic nails for work, to the absolute latest in colorful, over the top ratchetness for my trip to the carribbean. :) My favorite part...SHE IS SUPER FAST! I LOOOOOOOVE a nail technician that can do some kick ass nails annnd not have you sitting there for 10 years while they try to sculpt the perfect shape. I find that SOOOO frustrating. I dont want to spend more than 2 hours at a nail salon, and she manages even if she has more than one client. On top of being very sweet and extremely professional which is always nice. Location is ANNOYING. I mean its in Colesville, (where????) ...which is OUT THERE to say the least, but if you live out that way, like I do, you will be glad theyre there. All the other techs seem to get glowing reviews as well, but You cant lose with Sara for those special requests, so give her a shot. 4/5 stars instead of 5 ONLY because of wait time on weekends v. the drive. :)

This is my go-to nail salon when I visit my parents. I recommend them except for the gentleman who works there. Unfortunately, he cut my cuticle in such a way that I was left bleeding for longer than the usual little cuts I've gotten from time to time (rarely) over the years. When I kindly asked for some form of discount by way of a future gift cert for my mom, who's a regular, they said no and explained to the best of my understanding that this just happens. I tried to give them a chance to rectify the situation since we are regulars, but I take it they would rather just lose a customer.

    My poorly done nails.

I went in to get a full set of acrylics removed. I'm convinced the lady had no idea what she was doing she tried to send me off with visible acrylic stuff still on my nails. She used the electric file way too much and now my nails are super thin. And there's still acrylic on the rest of them. I won't be coming back. Oh. And she first tried to remove the acrylics by PRYING them off of my fingers. Ouch. I thought I was going to lose a nail!

Book Linda !! Linda is who i go to for acrylics but when i get gel on my real nails a man does it. They'll know who you mean if you just ask for the man who does gel. The salon is real big and clean.

Ignore my red cuticles that was my fault he did a stupendous job with my butchered nails

My sister in law had massages back to back which Diane generously scheduled. Her studio is clean and intimate. She was nice enough to move her dog out of the room when I told her about my allergies. Being a holiday, I wasn't sure if I would be able to book an appointment for a massage in the area. I tried a few spas, but they were indeed closed or booked solid. I contacted Diane and she was extremely accommodating and flexible with her time. As other reviewers have noted, her studio is in the basement of her house and has a very warm, welcoming vibe. It is also very quiet and the privacy factor allowed me to relax much faster than in a busy spa. The massage felt like a blend of many techniques. The intensity of the pressure fluctuated to match the needs of different areas of my body and she performed stretches on my legs, which would have been worth the money alone. It's a cliché, but I feel like a new man after leaving there. She offered me some helpful feedback after the massage and suggested some exercises and stretches to incorporate into my daily life. All in all, a great experience, and I look forward to another visit!

However: The place, in general, needs a sprucing up. The lobby/shop and bathroom all could use a good clean and maybe a paint job, and there was a dead cockroach in the bathroom, which kind of killed the vibe post-salt cave experience. We live in a city though and these things happen -- but a more dedicated focus to overall details of the space would make the experience even better.

My only ick ** is the convos in the lobby can echo , and I hope they can work on that, or I'll bring my noise canceling headphones. Also they are a few feet away from Bethesda metro station. I recommend taking metro instead of hunting for parking.

Sally was extremely accommodating, professional and friendly. When I hadn't showed up 5 minutes into our appointment, she reached out with a very personalized text message to make sure I was not lost. Their studio had moved about two blocks down the street, but I still had the wrong address (completely on me). She made sure I knew how to get to the new location and even which side of the building to park on. Even though we started late, she was still able to perform my full one hour massage. I was extremely relaxed the entire time. The music was gorgeous and had me picturing beautiful nature scenes. I had to fight the urge to fall asleep a few times. I left feeling calm and serene. I felt more limber. The back and hip pain I had before going was gone. I would absolutely go back. If you are looking for a less commercial spa feel and more of a crystals, chakra, warm vibe, this is a great place for you. The parking is ample as well, but is metro accessible too.

Throughout the massage, Sarah would check in with me to ensure that everything was to my liking. To summarize, this place "Shined" despite the rainy weather... Sorry, I kind of had to do the pun.

The waiting room in the front doesn't give you an idea how big this place is but once you head to your table you'll see how large the facility is. The biggest downside to this place is it's all one big open room that's separated by drapes. They have ambient music playing but this setup basically forces you to whisper as you walk to the table and during the massage. Out of respect to others getting their massage I didn't say anything during my session. I also didn't hear anyone else talking. While it's nice to sit in silence, it's just a strange setup in my opinion. As far the massage goes it was wonderful. The beds are clean and the floors even have that fake bearskin rug so you don't touch anything cold. The tables are heated which is a major plus and when you lay down they drape you in a weighted blanket. The whole thing is super cozy. My masseuse was receptive to the strength level I requested and really worked my hamstrings. The scalp oil was nice but I probably wouldn't repeat as it forces you to rush home to shower immediately after. Once we left I started to get promotional deals in my email which is cool. I''ll definitely be back once I have more disposable income.

I paid for a Steam & Sauna Bliss plan and ended up paying for services I couldn't actually use…read more When my plan was canceled by them unexpectedly, I immediately reached out to ask whether I could use my remaining sessions or receive a refund. I was told I could still use the remaining sessions and just needed to email to schedule appointments. I then emailed multiple times with specific dates and times I was available, including requests for weekday and weekend appointments. Those emails were ignored. After waiting and following up repeatedly, I still couldn't get a simple answer about availability. There was no online booking option, and the only method I was given (email) didn't work because the business stopped responding. At that point, I requested a $100 refund for the unused services. That request was also ignored. What makes this especially frustrating is that I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. I was trying to use sessions I had already paid for. The business told me I could use them, but then failed to respond when I attempted to schedule. If a business cancels a plan, tells a customer they can still use the remaining services, and then doesn't respond to scheduling requests or refund requests, that's effectively taking a customer's money without providing the service. Poor communication, no accountability, and no resolution. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering purchasing a package or membership think twice unless they're comfortable chasing the business down to receive services they've already paid for.
