We had no phone service on the trail so we packed up and drove until we could call around to get the bike serviced. I didn't find this business listed under "bike maintenance" on Yelp so I added it. Country Ski and Sport has a repair shop as well as bikes for sale. They took a look and fixed the brake cable problem in a few minutes while explaining to us how to avoid messing it up again. They didn't charge us for this service, which amazed me since my store at home has a $10 minimum. Great service and the closest bike repair to the Turkey Run entrance of the Pine Creek Trail.

They're road bikers and they buy parts, gear and clothing, and occasionally place orders with him (I'm pretty sure Glen does the whole spectrum of bikes, though). Glen does the repairs they don't know how to do - serious stuff, as Jennifer said. Glen also sells whole bikes in addition to parts at whoppingly awesome prices. He and his wife (and their two dogs) are extremely friendly, and Glen is extremely helpful to his customers as they make decisions or ask for recommendations. Also, Glen barely marks up his stuff, so if you're willing to make the trip up to his house (the drive is gorgeous), his prices are worth it. He prefers cash and is open from 5:30-8:30pm Monday-Thursday these days.

Talking on the phone for 5 mintues I explained my problem and the age of the bike (an old racing by from the 1970's). When I told the man on the phone the age and style of the bike, he said "Oh, that means it uses [some different mechanism to shift than newer bikes]. I was told to try tightening a small pin up by the gear lever. Lo-and-behold, my bike is fixed! I am seriously impressed by Swan Cycles' knowledge and customer service (he waited while I flipped my bike upside-down to pedal and change gears).
