I give two stars for the timeframe and customer service: Bike was brought in Friday afternoon, I was told by the mechanic it would be started/looked at over the weekend, -then I was told monday, -then I was told later in the week (his reason was "it is a long job so we need to set time aside") I called them to check when it would be done and if the parts I brought were compatible however they had not started yet, so I called a second time to see. **The man proceeded to yell at me over the phone, he repeatedly told me: that he "works 100 hour work weeks," I need to stop asking him for a timeframe I should "take the bike back now" and that I waste "10 minutes every time I call him" He was not able to give me a timeframe and told me to wait to be called when he gets to it. I was excited to work with them and have a reliable local shop, unfortunately that will be found elsewhere.

I'm more comfortable riding a tricycle at home for running errands, but Laurence was very patient as I became re-accustomed to riding a two-wheeler, helping me find a bike that was the right size for me, adjusting the seat and handle bars, and walking me through how to charge the bike and use the electric throttle. Old Goat Gear Exchange is a quaint shop right off the commons that sells new and used bikes and all the outdoor gear you could ever need! They also sell used items (for great deals) on consignment. Steve gets to know his customers, and when I walk in, he greets me by name with a smile on his face. Quarantine got you down? Old Goat still has bikes, despite the nationwide shortage. I've never felt more welcome at a local bike shop than at Old Goat Gear Exchange and will continue to bring my bikes in for service. I will likely purchase some other doodads to support a great resource in our community.
