This is our second stay at the Kingsley House, a most unique and priceless gem of a B&B. Upon entering one will notice the door knobs are lower as are the banisters and even the stairs are to a different scale. Please have Chuck (the Innkeeper) tell you the story behind the Kingsley House architecture. We've enjoyed staying in the Macintosh twice as it has a queen bed, private bathroom and shower. The decor is absolutely period perfect for the B&B. Please understand, this is over a century old home and not a modern track home.... the floors are original and may/will squeak. That is part of its charm. Heck, I'm older and squeak and doing my best to explain to my lovely bride that this is part of my charm too! There is a refrigerator upstairs that has cold water and on the main floor a Keurig coffee maker and fresh cookies. If there is anything you want/need simply call the Inn and Chuck somehow magically makes it happen. Breakfast at a B&B is always something to look forward too and Kingsley house does not disappoint. There are choices in coffee, juices and for breakfast.... let me start with the dishes, served on period correct glasses, plates, silverware with the exception of the large Inns coffee mugs that keep your beverage hot. Period correct cups would be too small as modern expectations of what a serving is. Our breakfast today was Pecan French Toast with bacon . FYI, when checking in they do check your preferences and if you have food allergies. During our first stay, my wife noticed they had antique Indiana Glass and her mother had many matching pieces. Rather than see them go unused, we brought them to the Inn and Chuck was very much appreciative of the glassware. We were very pleased/surprised that not only did they use them during breakfast, they also share with the other guests that we had given them to the Inn. Great experience! We booked the Kingsley house for our overnight stay since we visited Holland, MI for the annual tulip festival. I really appreciated the hospitality and the environment this place had. The owner was very friendly & understanding. Even though he mentioned on his site that his latest check in time is no later than 7pm, I still called him informing him that I will be checking in late. He understood and was thankful that he was notified. Once we arrived at the place, he gave us a small tour about the history of this place, which was intriguing. We stayed here in July 2020 (during Covid19) on a Wednesday/Thursday during a trip to Saugatuck. The COVID-19 precautions of the inn is to have all guests wear masks in common areas. Guests may opt to not wear masks in common areas so long as the other guests are comfortable. Chuck always wears a mask when interacting with guests. We stayed in the Granny Smith room, which was very pretty. The room was cozy and clean. We felt very at home in the room and we felt like we had our private space within the inn. The hospitality of the inn was remarkable. Chuck and Sally add the most charming touches to the experience. Everyday, fresh cookies come out at 4pm, there are chocolates to enjoy in the lobby, and coffee/tea to take in the morning. Chuck went above and beyond for my SO and myself during our stay. My SO had a sprained ankle, and Chuck gave us an ice pack in the morning and again at night to ice the ankle. We also had a horseback ride booked at a nearby ranch, and Chuck called the ranch to confirm the location for us. We also had to leave early one morning, and Chuck rushed to serve us our full breakfast so that we could get out the door in time. He was very hospitable. The breakfast was lovely. I am a huge foodie so the breakfast was one of the main reasons why I booked this inn (along with the Victorian architecture). Breakfast started with a fresh baked muffin (java chip with a sweet glaze), a bowl of seasonal fruit, and a premium selection of fruit and vegetable juices. The main course for us was apple cinnamon french toast with a side of bacon. The toast was sourced from a local bakery, and the bacon was smoked and carmelized in house, and rumor has it that Chuck collects the maple syrup himself from Fennville's finest maple trees. ;) I don't normally drink coffee, but another guest exclaimed how tasty the coffee was, so I had to try a cup for myself. And boy was it delicious! I recommend the salted caramel creamer. We did notice that there were a handful of times throughout our stay when we had difficulty reaching the inn's phone number (would go straight to voicemail) for various service needs. If you have an appreciation for history, all things Victorian and adore an excellent, 4 course leisurely breakfast, the Kingsley House is for you! Breakfasts are wonderful and pretty! The porch is a perfect setting, and the service is impeccable! Fennville is The Best place to stay if you are in that Saugatuck, Holland area. It is quaint and quiet and you can actually rest and get away from the constant noise of the larger, more touristy towns. There are near-by wineries, orchards and plenty of trendy restaurants and a home town diner if that is more to your liking. The nearby Crane Winery and Cider Mill is not only noted for their wines and hard ciders but they serve a $7 FLIGHT of PIE! Yes, pie. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the town's ice cream stand, Tasty Treets at the far east end of the main street! read more

Our stay at the Kingsley House Inn was nothing like I had hoped it would be. There was so much wrong with this place that there is not enough room for me to explain. The breakfasts were average at best; nothing like advertised on the website. The owner, Chuck, started out pleasant (but strange). But when we found out that not only had he charged the final payment on our bill to the CC that we made our deposit with without our permission (I phoned him 2 days prior to our reservation and asked that we use a different CC to pay our bill and he said no problem), he charged us a second time for our deposit and and an ambiguous $230.00, totaling $505.00 of of overcharges. He also totally lost it when I suggested we pay our balance with a MC pre-paid debit card (I didn't realize he had already charged our original CC), stating we were trying to scam him! We use those cards all of the time with NO problems! My husband gets them from work as a bonus. He went so far as to slam chairs on the porch floor and also slam the chairs against the table we were sitting at. He told us to leave ASAP and never come back (we had paid for late check out at 1pm and it was only 10:30). He came back out and apologized, but the damage was done and we were ready to leave. We accompanied him to his office and he insisted that we watched while he put in the request for the refund of the 1st overcharge, but he would have to wait until tomorrow to put the 2nd refund through, since he had just charged my CC that day. We received an email later that day from his bank confirming the 1st refund. I waited 2 days for the next refund email before I contacted him by email to find out when the 2nd refund would be done. I received this in response: "Firstly, I'm very sorry that your emails were not responded to, However, please know email is not and have never been a GOVERNMENT controlled/ Regulated form of communication as the U.S. Mail is, thereby the NEED for SPAM FILES. I finally found your emails in that folder, and had no Idea you sent them. had you CALLED You Would have this issue dealt with by now. Yes we are over the top busy and a family run business and I missed this issue after assuring you I wouldn't. However, we have been given a #1 rating in the State of Michigan and the TOP 10 in the world By Trip Advisor both based on our reviews. Once the massages are completed at the Inn today I will finalize this transaction." SERIOUSLY????? I finally got the email confirmation (yet another day later) for the final refund and then I got this email from Chuck: "Your refund has been sent along for everything except your room, though you didn't deserve it. Please let me know if you've not received an email from my merchant bank in the next 24 hours, However , Please don't ever again try to gain reservations at Kingsley House again. We've never been call cheaters in our40 years in business and have only been given the highest ratings by everyone in the hospitality Industry. Please do give us a bad review on yelp on any platform you choose...I'm happy to provide names and addresses in my reply." I NEVER called him a cheater! My husband and I were calm and cordial with him, although we shouldn't have been since he overcharged us $505.00! I and many others that read his final comment took it as a threat to publish my personal information in a review on this and other sites. We stayed there over the July 4th holiday, and I finally decided that I don't care what he does, I think people should know what he is like and what he did. I spoke to another person that was staying there at the same time we were and witnessed his outbursts. She said there were ambiguous charges to her CC also and she had to contact him to get a refund. There is SO MUCH more to tell about his hot and cold personality, but this space will not let me type more. Most of the good reviews came from before Chuck owned the Kingsley House Inn. It took 2 weeks, but I finally got my money refunded to my CC. I will gladly NEVER stay at Kingsley House Inn again, and I urge anyone considering to do so, to find another place to stay! read more

We decided to take a few days of R & R after coming up to Grand Rapids to attend our nephew's wedding, as we hadn't been to the southern coast of Lake Michigan and we eager to explore. We debated staying somewhere close to the water, but when we came across the Kingsley House while we were searching, we both decided that this was just what we were looking for, and we were delighted that they had rooms available for our all too short stay. Chuck, the innkeeper, greeted us at the door, offered help with our luggage (we were staying in the Jonathan room), directed us to cookies and coffee and tea, and offered help with finding dinner (and even made the reservations for us), asked after what sort of breakfast we would prefer (and very willing to accommodate my husband's dietary restrictions), and gave us info about the house, the local vineyards, gave us coupons for wine tastings and generally couldn't have been more accommodating. It turns out that we live near where he and his wife grew up, so we had some fun conversations about that area. All of his advice concerning the area is well taken, we had a lovely dinner at Everyday People Cafe, went exploring along the coast and had a wonderful time. The Jonathan Room, where we stayed, had queen sized bed, and a jetted tub that was wonderful after dune hiking, and looks out over the back of the house. The B&B provides toiletries, water bottles, mints, a fridge in the room for storing leftovers if need be, and an ice bucket, which our host graciously filled for us both nights we were there. There's even a guest closet that has more water, games, and little necessities you might have forgotten. The Kingsley House provides for a lovely, relaxing, and gracious stay for its guests, excellent food, and an attentive and kind host - we will be back when we can, and recommend this place to others. read more

This review is far overdue as we visited several months ago in January, but it would be a shame to not make sure I did it. My boyfriend and I had a very good experience here. During our booking, they were very flexible, and when we were confused due to a mix up in pricing on a page of their website they gave us the lower rate we'd seen without being rude or difficult. When we arrived there was a lot of snow but we only had a little trouble pulling in, it was mostly shoveled (it was Michigan in January what can you do). The owner was very friendly and calm and helped us with our things and was overall very kind with us. He was also very patient with me when I had a struggle with the blinds, haha. He went out of his way to make earl grey for us each morning since we mentioned we were tea drinkers. The conversation with him and other guests in the morning was great and he had a lot of good things to say. On top of that, the food he makes for breakfast is wonderful! He was very creative with the food (in a good way). I'm glad we stayed multiple days, so we could have it more than once. Our room was cozy, the bed was comfortable, and the fireplace and the tub were great in the chilly weather. We stayed in the Johnathan Junior suite. Walking around Saugatuck in the winter with heavy snow is like something from a postcard. We liked our little walk along the frozen lakefront in Holland. The local eateries were great and we went to a couple recommended by the owner, great suggestions. Especially the places near/in Saugatuck. The quaint feeling here was honestly lovely, we played cards and sat by the fire and it was a great short winter getaway. I'm sure it would be even more beautiful in the summer and we'll definitely be back. read more

The reservation made 4-5 weeks prior, for a specific room, was NOT honored. We had reserved the largest room, explaining to Chuck (the owner) that we experience significant claustrophobia, thus he recommended the Granny Smith Suite. Upon arrival we were informed our room had been given to another guest and we were being relegated to a windowless basement room with humidity so high the exposed pipes were dripping. The previously stated pipe situation also made the bathroom floor a skating rink. This windowless basement room had a ceiling over the bed 6 feet high. Not a good thing for victims of claustrophobia. The tea and coffee he promised would be outside our door at 8 a.m. never appeared and breakfast at 9 a.m. was nonexistent. Sally, Chuck's wife, said "I don't know why he told you there'd be breakfast at 9. The guy doesn't come in until 10." We checked out at 10:15 and there was still no indication that breakfast was ever going to happen. Our experience at Kingsly House was truly unforgettable in a most unfortunate way. We would neither stay there again nor recommend it to those who we know who visit the Saugatuck area on a regular basis. read more

My wife has been on the look-out for a good road trip opportunity, and she found it with the Tulip Time Festival in Holland, Michigan. We've never stayed at a Bed & Breakfast before, so we thought we'd plus-up our road trip with a new lodging experience. The Kingsley House did not disappoint! We stayed in the Cider Nook, which was very clean, well-appointed, comfortable and private. A terrific introduction to our new Bed & Breakfast adventure! If you're into breakfast, this is your place. The Owners and Innkeepers, Chuck and Sally, knock it out of the park with gourmet style five star breakfast selections each morning. I suggest several days of fasting before you arrive in order to take full advantage of the awesome morning meals you'll experience. No lunch for us, lol! Sally bakes yummy cookies each day that are set-out in the main room for guests to enjoy at their convenience. Yep, we did that, too! Whether you're a seasoned Bed & Breaksfast pro or newbies like me and my wife, you'll have a first class experience at Kingsley House. I really had to take time to write this review bc we had such an awful experience. The house itself is decent. The decor is outdated but it's clean and cozy. I arrived early in the day before my reservation and popped in to see if there was a public restroom I could use. I was waiting for my friend to show up and we both had a long drive. As I pulled in, this woman stared at me and said nothing. I then parked and tried to figure out which door to go to. This same woman walked past me and stared at me. I went inside and waited a few minutes and finally that same woman came in and asked if she could help me. I explained that we had a reservation later but I had a long drive and was wondering if there was a restroom. She simply said no. I was ok with that answer but this woman had zero hospitable people skills. I left and went to The Root to wait for my friend. They have fabulous food and service, by the way. My friend arrived and we were running late for our boat reservation in downtown Saugatuck. She wanted to leave one car at the B&B but the woman was so off putting that I told her it wouldn't surprise me if they towed our car. We went back to the B&B to leave a car in the lot and run in to ask them if it was ok. A guy came running out (Chuck) and was overly nice. He took our bags and suggested we check in real quick so we don't have to do it later. We explained we were in a hurry but could quickly check in. Chuck took us inside and proceeded to explain how to use the Keurig even after we told him we know how to use one. When he showed us where the K cups were, I said, Ok! He turned around with an evil look and said, "ARE YOU RUSHING ME?" Well yes! I know how to use a Keurig, let's speed this up! He then verified that he saw on our reservation that we needed gluten free. He asked me about breakfast and offered to make me an omelette. Then my friend said she need GF too and he got all angry and said, "You should have made me aware of that!" Um, excuse me but we DID. That is how you knew! He took us upstairs and then took a very long time showing us the Roku. We told him we know how to use it. Then he realized it was missing a part and promised he would fix it by the time we returned. He never fixed it. He told us there is only a bath tub and no shower and then began showing us how to use the tub. We know how to use a jetted tub. We told him we weren't even going to use it. He could have had ALL of this on a laminated piece of paper in each room. We were so late and trying to get out of there but we were terrified of him. He definitely turned into a psycho. When we were finally heading out, our car was parked 4 feet next to Sally. She wouldn't even turn around to say hi. I realized this was the same woman from earlier and also an owner. She definitely should not be in the B&B business. When we finally left to head to our reservation, we were so horrified at coming back. We had the feeling he was a huge creep. I can guarantee he would not have been so rude to us if we were men. We are so happy we only had to stay one night. We will never be back. read more

We just left our stay at Kingsley House for our honeymoon in the northern spy room. I cant say enough good things about this place and our hosts Chuck and Sally. The room was so cute and cozy, complete with an adorable sitting area and a jacuzzi tub. They have a lovely mid-week package we took advantage of - we were greeted with excitement, a giant fruit and cheese plate and a bottle of wine for our stay. An hour long massage for two was included and was the perfect treat for our trip. Breakfast was delish. I'll be bugging chuck for recipes later. And they make their own cold brew coffee We'll be recommending the place to our friends and hope to return someday! read more

After looking for a couple of days I found a new availability pop up. It just so happened that Kingsley House had a last minute cancellation which made the Johnathan room open. What a find! Beautiful bed and breakfast. My husband and I really enjoyed our charming, private suite on the 3rd floor. Breakfast was delicious, and so were the homemade chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon. We took a chance on Kingsley House and Fennville. And boy, did that chance pay off! What a gem! Beautiful, historic home nestled on a hill at the edge of town. We stayed in a garden view queen room with its own bathroom. Classic decor, comfortable bed, nice modern amenities including WiFi and Roku TV. As nice as the place is, the host was even better! We got a small history lesson on the area and the home. There were options set up for wine and cider tastings, dinner recommendations, fresh chocolate chip cookies, and fantastic breakfast both mornings! The Kingsley House is located about 15 minutes from Saugatuck. It was a little confusing because all the advertising seems to indicate a closer proximity to the town. We stayed at this Bed & Breakfast for 2 nights. We were welcomed with a generous plate of freshly baked cookies. Our room was upstairs; adequate sized but the bathroom was a little unusual as the sink was in the bedroom and the roof line over the tub made it impossible to stand up. To their credit, the owners were able to move us to another room for the second night. Breakfast was served at individual small tables. The meal featured a combination of hot and cold items. If we chose to stay over-night in the area again, I would likely check out some other properties which were closer to the downtown area. read more

We arrived on a Sunday and left the following Tuesday. Our suite was the Northern Spy. We chose this one because it was more private and had a view. Pros: The owners did provide many amenities such cold bottles of water, a good dvd selection, games, daily room cleaning if you wanted it, snacks such as cookies and fruit through out the day, bikes to ride upon request, and ice down in the living room for whenever you want it. As for the room, it was indeed private and the tub was very nice and comfy. The jets were nice and strong and they encouraged the use of them not be past midnight or before 7 in the morning, which is good for the other guests, since it's on the third floor above everyone. All in all the room was very comfortable. The house on the outside is beautiful and the porch has a lot of comfortable seating options. Inside is pretty too and the living room has some nice places to relax if you want to get out of the room. Location wise, it's not far from the sites. It only takes 20 minutes to get the beach! And less than that for food and other touristy attractions. Also, the breakfast both days was very nice. Cons: The room did have a couple of flaws. The wall to the bathroom does not go all the way up to the ceiling. What this means is that all the sounds from the potty are shared with the bedroom. Thankfully, we've been married going on three years so it wasn't as big a deal but for younger couples maybe not. This next thing may just be me but decoration wise it was a little dated. And when I say dated I mean dolls. I just think dolls are a little creepy in general, chuckie kind of ruins them for ya. The sunroom is nice but in the summer it's where the window unit is so therefore the coldest. It's still usable but you might consider a long sleeve. The stairs to the suite are pretty narrow but not impassible but just keep it in mind when you're selecting that extra bag you might not really need for the trip. Or just leave it in the car. The porch is really nice but the road is actually pretty busy. I enjoyed some time out there but if you're looking for peace and quiet the seating inside might be better. All in all, a good experience and a place I wouldn't mind coming back to. read more

That being said we had a wonderful stay. the inn was spectacular, extremely clean, smelled so nice from the moment we walked in. Chuck is the perfect innkeeper, his goal is to make sure that everyone has everything that they need to make their stay remarkable. breakfast on the porch was delicious. we told chuck that we were planning on leaving as soon as we got up after our second night and that we would unfortunately miss our second breakfast, as we walked down the stairs ready to leave there was a bag of home made muffin bread with our name on it to take for the ride. i surely will miss grabbing some home made cookies as i make my way up to my room each night. Stay away! I was researching local B&B's for a weekend getaway & contacted Chuck to ask him a couple questions about Kingsley House. I sent him an email inquiring about some dates & asked about a certain package I saw advertised. In addition, I notified him that I'm disabled & would be traveling with a service animal & asked if that would be ok. (Legally I don't have to ask permission, but I wanted to be upfront, respectful & go out of my way to make sure things went smoothly). A few days after getting my email, Chuck called me back & said that he wouldn't allow me to travel with a service animal. I was ready to say ok, no problem, I understand (even though this is illegal & discrimination) & end the conversation there, but he followed up by asking what my disability is in detail & more about my service dog. Since she's a legitimate service animal, & I have nothing to hide, I happily answered his questions although asking someone what their disability is, is also illegal. I explained that I have documentation to prove she's a service animal & stated that I'd be happy to provide it, even before booking our stay. After getting all this information from me, he still said he wouldn't allow us to come. I said that was fine, that I happily would find another B&B, & said although I wouldn't pursue it, that I wanted to share with him the laws regarding service animals so that he would know & guests in the future would have an easier time. I explained to him that there are certain questions by law that are to be asked regarding service animals & the type of documentation to tell whether a service animal is legit. He was extremely combative, rude & also very degrading when discussing my disability. "Well, it's too bad you're sick, but that's not my problem..." Long story short, I have no interest in ever staying at this B&B, a B&B is all about being a welcoming host & it was extremely clear to me from this conversation that Chuck is in the wrong industry. I'm the type of person who gets along with everyone & never has a bad word to say about anyone, so it's highly unusual for me to write a negative review, but I feel it's important that people know what happened in this case. I also want to make clear that I regularly travel with my service dog, & have never had a problem. I understand that there are people out there traveling with pets they claim are service animals in order to take them with them & that this gives people like me a bad name, which is why I'm happy to answer questions that may be invasive, in order to show that I am in fact legit & to help others feel more comfortable. To be clear, I'm not upset that he didn't want me to bring my service animal to the B&B, I'm upset at his rudeness, disrespect, degrading comments, offensive remarks and nastiness. Update in response to Chuck's comment: First, I do have a physical disability which I explained on the phone to Chuck. I do have difficulty walking & with other tasks, but again, this is not something you have the right to ask someone with a service animal. In order to get a service animal you must have a severe condition & need their assistance. Second, I never used the word sue in my conversation with Chuck. I said multiple times that it didn't seem his business was a good fit for me & that I wanted to make him aware of the laws regarding service animals both for his benefit & for the benefit of future guests who may have similar situations. Third, his comments about cleaning the carpeting here are in reference to his asking me pay extra (in addition to paying the normal fees associated with staying at his B&B) which is also illegal. You don't get to charge someone with a disability extra for the same service you'd charge anyone else. I was calm, polite & understanding on the phone. I stated that I understood that most people don't travel with a service animal & as such I wanted to make things as easy as possible for everyone involved. When it became clear to me (early in the conversation) that this was problematic, I told him several times that I would happily book another B&B, & I did. I didn't argue with him or ask him to reconsider. I could have hung up at that point & let Chuck research (or not) the laws on his own, I could have filed a complaint or pursued this in multiple ways, but I chose not to. I do feel a responsibility to make others with & without disabilities aware of the type of experience they may have with this B&B & the person who runs it. And, for the record, I spoke with at least 5 other B&B's in the area in researching & planning my trip. All are small businesses who may have very similar concerns & this was the only one I had a problem with, all the others went above & beyond to be kind & helpful & all were fine with my service dog coming. I wouldn't have taken the time to write this review if Chuck had kindly said that he wasn't comfortable. His rudeness & combativeness were the reason I posted this. read more

I was in the area for a meeting, took my husband along and had an enjoyable stay in the Northern Spy suite, one of the most unique and memorable B&B rooms we've seen. (All eight rooms are named for apples, a reference to this major fruit-growing region of Michigan.) Northern Spy, located on the third floor, features high vaulted ceilings sloping to knee walls that make the large space more intimate. The vertical surfaces are paneled in tongue-and-groove pine with a creamy pickled finish. And then there's the adjacent turret, with its 20-foot ceiling. You have to duck to get in there. By day, it's a great space for reading; by night, a romantic cocoon. Some might wish to find there a comfy chaise or big chair, but it probably would have to be cut in pieces and then reassembled. I liked that the bed was topped with a simple quilt and devoid of the fussy details I associate with Victorian decor. The new owners (since 2014) bring years of personal and business travel experience to innkeeping. This is sure to be a positive influence on their choices as rooms are updated and they try to strike a balance between Victorian charm and the sensibilities of today's travelers. Breakfast was ample, the place seemed very clean. The location puts you close to most of the towns and attractions of SW Michigan. We'd love to go back in another season. read more

My wife and I got a Groupon for a 2-night stay recently at The Kingsley House in Fennville, Michigan. We live about 2 and 1/2 hours away in metro-Detroit. We really enjoyed our stay there. Chris and Brenda make a great team--they were so welcoming and gracious. The food was great and the B&B is beautiful and it's just a few blocks walk to quaint downtown Fennville--home of one of the best restaurants around: Salt of the Earth. Fennville is real close to Holland and Saugatuck, Michigan and we stopped by there to see Lake Michigan. We're looking forward to coming back soon! Terry and Tina S. read more

This charming bed and breakfast went above and beyond for my daughter's wedding/elopement. In addition to being so friendly and accommodating, Chuck and Sally provided multiple rooms for the bride and groom to get ready, a beautiful bouquet and boutonniere, sparkling wine and cake. The photographer, Monica, was also excellent. They really made the day special for this small, but mighty celebration in the midst of a pandemic. read more

Stayed for wedding anniversary for 2 nights. My room was very clean and beautiful, and had an amazing private garden patio. I loved the Victorian style house. The staff was extremely accommodating and polite. And the breakfast!! Had smoked breakfast sausage one morning that was so good, I'd go back just to get it again. read more

Chuck was awesome!!! He is sweet, easy going, super attentive and provides impeccable service. The house was extremely clean, it smelled great and felt clean. The whirlpool was the perfect size for two people, nice width and depth. The breakfast was delicious!! And again his service is nothing short of great. We stayed in the Northern Spy Suite. Once again I have written a ton of yelp reviews only 2 bad ones this being one, He is lying. He was completely unprofessional, he was ignorant, he lucky I wasn't aware til it was to late he came out and got directly in my wife's face and kept yelling at her relentlessly. You are what is wrong you are a bold face liar. What I wrote happened exactly as described, there are only lies from this man. He ruined a extended trip we had looked forward too. When you berate my wife swear sir YES YOU DID! and then look me in the eyes and say "You don't have to stay here" why the hell would I want too?? why would anyone. After making 2 day reservations in February we arrive today for check in and are told our room number for today and that we will be moved to another room tomorrow because they overlapped our original reservations, and we will not be compensated for the inconvenience. Not a good start at all Sun n Sand Resort. Hopefully it gets better from checkout. read more

The new hosts, Chuck and Sally, have taken over from the previous owners, but after my recent stay I would agree with all the previous positive reviews. The Victorian house is in beautiful shape and makes for a great get away spot. The hospitality is superb, with the responsive hosts providing many extras to make your stay a memorable and pleasant one. With convenient access to both Saugatuck and Holland, a Kingsley House stay can be a great touch for that special weekend. read more
