Overpriced, rushed out, poor job. I've never been charged 40$ base for a quick clean up. did not shave the back of the neck or even trim.

I had an amazing cut done by Won at the Smoky Hill location. I wanted a mid-fade normal cut, size 1…read morefor the sides and a quarter inch off the top. She did an amazing job and had a very nice vibe. The tools she used were very smooth, looked expensive, and got the job done very well. I have super thick hair so I am accustomed to semi-painful haircuts. With Won, no tugs, nor pinches, nada. Marvelous!!

Five stars for Ashley--zero for management…read more I absolutely love my stylist, Ashley, and feel so lucky to have found her. She's the reason I come to Floyd's at Smoky Hill every week for a shampoo and style. Her talent, consistency, and kindness are unmatched. That said, the last few visits have been uncomfortable--literally. The salon has been extremely hot. I was told the thermostat isn't allowed to go below 78 degrees, which seems unrealistic given all the blow dryers, lights, and summer heat. It's not just uncomfortable for clients--it's exhausting for the stylists who are on their feet all day. Today was particularly upsetting. While I was in the chair, the stylist next to Ashley started having a panic attack. Ashley (rightfully) went to check on her, but what shocked me was the response from the manager, Ronnie. When Ashley asked how her coworker was doing, Ronnie sighed loudly and rolled her eyes--completely dismissive. I suggested maybe bringing a cold towel or a fan, and Ronnie replied, "That's what I'm doing," before walking off. I never saw her again. Meanwhile, that stylist was left outside in the back, in full distress, and Ronnie apparently just went to sit in her office for the rest of the time I was there. Thankfully, Ashley's next client happened to be a nurse and he went outside to check on her. Ronnie didn't call for help, didn't check on her again, didn't ask for support from other staff--nothing. As a former stylist myself, I was horrified. When someone is having a potential medical emergency--especially in your own salon--your team's well-being should be top priority. I'm so grateful it wasn't something more serious, but the lack of care or urgency from management was unacceptable. Ashley continues to be the reason I come back, but if Floyd's wants to maintain a safe and supportive environment for both staff and clients, they seriously need to re-evaluate who they trust in leadership roles.

Was looking for a good place for my son to get a haircut. I called to make an appointment and it…read moretook three tries before someone picked up. In the meantime I had also reached out through Facebook to book. Made an appointment and we arrived five minutes beforehand. There is nobody to check you in. The front is a waiting area and there is a wall which separates the stations from the front. A barber who was free asked what we were in for and I told him we had an appointment with T. He gestured to the other side from where he was and we looked back towards the two barbers there. Both had customers. My son went back when beckoned and was told by T to wait. It took a bit and I was not very happy as we had an appointment. Finally it was his turn and he went back for his cut. The atmosphere here is chaotic and there was a little child running around and seeking attention. Pretty sure he was there as his dad was a barber. I don't mind except that he kept getting into things and yelling. The haircut was meh. And when I asked how we pay, I was told cash only. No mention of that on their Facebook page. When I asked cash only? I was informed there's an atm in the corner. Also was over charged because the price for a teen haircut listed on their Facebook page is $20 ages 13-17. And men's $25 for 18 and up. T said $30 and it's 17 and up. I didn't argue and even gave him a tip but we won't be going back. I feel ripped off and the whole experience was not positive. If you want a military style cut which I saw a ton of, this is your place. But for anything else I'd go somewhere else.

My story: Since July 2025…read more I've been battling liver failure, multiple sclerosis, and seizures, and have been in the hospital with both issues. I just wanted to feel pretty....after losing my career due to my health and more. The history: I've been a loyal client of this salon for two years without any issues. However, my recent interaction with this business has been more than disappointing. While my salonist Elona is a great person and very professional, the manager is the complete opposite--rude, judgmental, and hostile. The Problem: Poor color uptake I was ALREADY scheduled for February 27th for a redo of my full color hair treatment, which first only lasted three weeks, compared to the seven months it lasted before. But then get called day of they had to reschedule me because Elona got sick and the soonest they had was Sunday, her day off normally, but she was seeing other people as well. I was told she would not be able to dry my hair, which was fine. Day of appointment: Sunday March 1st Unfortunately, my car's CV axle broke, and I was stuck on E470 and was unable to make it, and she didn't have any other time that day. Today: I called today to make an appointment since I own two vehicles, but this time the manager picked up the phone and immediately I was told no. Completely unapologetic and didn't understand my situation. I explained that I had been through a lot and being sick, and that my liver and brain problems had made my hair look unhealthy, and paying $ 150 for my hair to look healthy for three weeks was not fair or right. I was willing to pay half the price, but all she said in a mocking tone was, "I'm sorry." It's disheartening to be treated so poorly as a two-year client. What really pisses me off was her saying it's the next month...what difference did 1st and 2nd make? You break policy 1 day and then go back to it 24 hours later? Conclusion: If you're considering getting your hair colored and then experiencing a personal tragedy, such as becoming terminally ill or losing a child or spouse, be warned that this manager won't care, in fact, will be inconsistent on following their own policy.
