Each time that I called, Troy responded quickly and came, along with his wife Tabitha (who is actively involved in communications and helping the projects to go smoothly), to assess the project needs and subsequently provide a written estimate. I did not have to wait long to have any of my projects completed. Depending on the project, Troy completed the work himself (the landscaping projects) or delegated the work to the appropriate team. In all instances, the workers arrived on the scheduled dates and completed the projects professionally and in an extremely timely manner. Troy provided documentation of his insurance and took care of procuring all of the necessary permits that were needed for the roofing projects. I have found Troy to be reasonably priced and honest. In addition to the projects that I have had completed thus far, Chancee Enterprises is able to take care of just about any project, large or small related to home and property. I would not hesitate to call him again for future projects. It is a pleasure to work with people who are friendly, honest, responsive and get the job done.

Located on Rt 28 in Shokan, NY, Door J. worked for several reasons: we knew we were getting solid wood doors, close to home and, we were satisfied with the customer service from the get-go when we first came here to inquire. Plus Door J., has an incredible stock on salvaged doors that come directly from suppliers. They claim their doors are "either overstock, inaccurate orders, or have slight cosmetic defects, but all the products are new and structurally sound". And if you can't find your door here, one will be ordered for you. That's what we did. I love our wide pass-through living room in our new home, but we wanted to have the option of closing it off if we want to- or keeping it open. Barn-styled doors was our go-to. Chris was super helpful the first time we came here and gave us a in-depth rundown about Door J. Do know, this place does not: (1)deliver and (2)install doors- because that's on you or your contractor- if you're using one- which we did. We were also in the market for slider windows for our basement and these folks helped with that. Because Door J. is an Andersen Window distributor, we were even more ecstatic that we could have our cake and eat too by ordering our barn doors AND 5 small slider windows because they seal tightly against air, water and anything else. I would say keep well away from this company. The owner just does not care about the work his guys…read moredo and hardly shows up on the site. He even did not want to do a final walk through to approve everything before getting final payment. He used sub-contractors that did a terrible job that involves ripping out everything they did and re-purchasing and reinstalling everything again to make it right and the owner is not willing to write a document to stand behind this and wants me to deal with the sub contractor myself. This company has lost most of the good workers it had and can't get any new one because they are so cheap, they don't even pay for their guys gas or extra time it takes to get to a job over an hour away. He knows if he looses the few guys he has he want find anyone else to work for him because of the way he treats them. This is the 2nd time I have worked with them and I am still waiting for them to finish and repair mistakes made on the first one over 4 years ago, so it's hard for me to trust that they will fix the issues in this new one. In fact one of his ex workers told me in the first job when he pointed out to the owner a problem of something not being done right, that the owner said don't worry about it and to just cover it up and not say anything. I would recommend that you stay far away this company as even though some of their workers are honest hard working guys, the owner thinks he can bully his way through your job and not take professional responsibility for any bad workmanship.
