What an awesome guest services agent to have at their front desk. Shannon helped us quickly check out in the morning and though it was a quick interaction, it was very friendly. Perfect way to end the short stay! The room we got was really lovely. Beds were totally clean, no stains on the sheets or mystery hair. I was very surprised at the level of cleanliness in all areas of the room to be honest. Their beds are super comfortable. I actually managed to get a really good night's sleep. I love the shampoo, conditioner, etc brand they use. It was not too heavily scented. I also love seeing that they mount the entire bottle into the shower area so it's as little waste as possible. No more little plastic travel bottles!!! Love the eco initiative there. The only reason for the missing star is because the towel bars were super dusty and the shower head was covered in limescale. Water pressure was lacking quite a bit It's probably very hard water they have too, so part of housekeeping routine should be to occasionally do a vinegar soak of the fixtures. 100% would return if we're in the Kingston area.

We had enough Marriott Rewards to stay on points, so we ended up there, and I'm so glad we did. The location is right off the highway (401) and in the King's Crossing Outlet Mall. There's free parking and it's not that far of a drive to downtown. Our room was really spacious, modern looking and was clean (I wiped down all hard surfaces with Lysol wipes when I arrived and the wipes came out white (not all dirty and grey). I loved the way the room was laid out and the decorations. The coffee table was a set of 2 nesting tables, the table that the TV was on slid in and out, and there was a cute corner table. I liked that there was a night table on both sides of the bed and each side had a plug. There's a microwave, coffee maker and fridge. The fridge is small and does not have a freezer. Free internet was reliable. Staff were nice and efficient. There's a pool and fitness centre, but we did not check out either one. No free breakfast, but there's a restaurant in the lobby of the hotel. There's also a Boston Pizza across the parking lot and a Panera Bread across the street. I would definitely consider staying here again.

Also, there was snacks and drinks have similar prices to concert and events food and drinks. For the 3 hour tour We took a morning tour. It was not very busy so there's a lot of space to move around. The most popular spot was the very front (bottom level). It's calm though it might be a little long for some. For the 5 hour tour: We took an afternoon/evening tour. Despite how busy it is, it was cool to visit and step foot on Boldt Island. Also, make sure you know which boat you were on as there will be multiple tour boats from other companies in the area. The Island and Castle were larger than I thought. The achitecture and interior were gorgeous and impressive. From what I remember, I think the gift shop accepts both currencies.

In particular, we wanted to go on the 2.5 Hour boat tour and loved the beauty, history and the locals enjoying the water too! The second portion was visiting the Famous Heart Island where George C. Boldt, millionaire proprietor of the world famous Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City, set out to build a full size rhineland castle in Alexandria Bay, on picturesque Heart Island.  The grandiose structure was to be a display of his love for his wife, Louise. The structures on the island were amazing! I personally LOVE architecture and history so this was a fantastic experience! Had it been Pre-Covid times, we would have been able to disembark from the boat and explored the island, as the Americans were doing. But because it is technically on the American side of the St Lawrence River, and because of the pandemic, we could only admire it from afar. We can't wait for warmer weather so we can go back and visit!

Plenty of parking and not too far from the dowtown area. On the down side, there are no TV's in the rooms and you are limited to what they decide to cook for breakfast. No option for cereal if you opt out of the cooked meal. They do put alot of effort into their breakfast, but their focus is very health oriented so don't expect to get bacon and eggs.

It was an amazing experience going on a boat ride in thousand islands. You can choose from 3…read morepackages: 1-hour, or 3-hour, or 5-hour ride; each one with a different route. We thought the 3-hour trip was the most suitable one for us since it's not that short that you miss a lot of the islands and not that long to be tiring. The 5-hour boat ride will drop you off at the Boldt Castle so that you can explore the castle at your own pace. The islands are very beautiful and it's nice to pass by the cottages and mansions and learn more about some of them. The guided tour is specifically helpful as you learn more about the history as well.

The rate for First Canada Inn was approximately $90/Night during the weekend of my stay. While it is looks a little run-down from the outside, the rooms are surprisingly clean. They have comfortable bed and pillows. The downside of my stay is that my room was on the 2nd floor and there were no elevators available. Had to carry my suitcase up the staircase. The Air Conditioning/Heat was noisy as well. Probably recommend bringing your own shampoo and bath wash because the complimentary weren't that good either. Again, the bright side to my stay was delicious breakfast that included waffle, muffins, bagels and more. Would definitely recommend this place if you are traveling into town because it is conveniently located next to the 401.
