If I could give zero stars, I would. Royal AC delivered the worst service experience I've ever had -- and I don't say that lightly. Over the course of three weeks and seven separate visits, they repeatedly failed to fix our AC. On the very first visit, they convinced us to install a $350 part that clearly had no impact on the actual problem. We gave them multiple chances, but they simply never followed through. The situation escalated when their senior technician, Frank, fell through our ceiling during the fourth visit -- a literal hole in our home. (Photo attached.) Despite our repeated attempts to coordinate, they regularly missed appointments and routinely failed to answer phone calls -- both ours and those from our warranty provider. In fact, our provider couldn't transfer the case to another company because Royal AC wouldn't even pick up the phone to release it. To make matters worse, they closed the case multiple times with our warranty company, falsely indicating that the repair had been completed when it absolutely had not. I genuinely regret having to write this review. We were patient, we gave them chance after chance -- but Royal AC left us with no alternative. read more

The company sent by American Home Shield has been problematic. I strongly recommend that you do not allow their technician -- or rather, their salesperson -- into your home. In my experience, they have not been honest. Both times they visited, they tried to convince me of completely unnecessary and exaggerated issues in an attempt to sell parts or equipment I did not need. Fortunately, I knew enough to recognize the sales tactics. After listening to an over-the-top pitch, I stopped the conversation, escorted the individual out, and contacted my personal HVAC technician. He replaced a single part, and my furnace has been working perfectly since. There was absolutely no need for a new system. Please request that AHS send a different HVAC company -- ideally one that is professional and trustworthy. AHS should seriously investigate Royal Flush and reconsider using them. read more

I used AHS and they dispatched this company to service my furnace. Here is what happened. My furnace stopped working. They came out and said it was the circuit board which needed changing. Up this this point, I was fine. They said they can replace it, but they couldnt find the board in stock and it would be a good 3-6 months before they could get the board. Then, they suggested that I may want to replace the entire furnace for nearly $6000. The furnace is only 3 years old. I called another HVAC company. They ordered my circuit board which took 4 days to arrive. They came out and had the circuit board on hand with them. I asked them if they thought the furnace should be replaced. They looked at me strangely and said exactly what I was thinking. The furnace is fairly new. It doesnt need replacement. Also, the part was readily available. I definately dont trust this company and will never use them. read more

2 stars because they came out the same day we called (through home warranty). They also sent me a quote to replace my AC later that day. But, we needed to have a repair estimate to decide whether to replace or repair and it took over 2 weeks plus 4 texts from me and 3 contacts from home warranty to get that information. Normalize being able to leave ZERO stars because that is exactly what this company deserves. Today is day 11 without AC in my home. Average temperature, you ask? 87-90. I know, I know. Diabolical. They have been out 4 times in 11 days and still, we sit here sweating like a buncha hookers in church. These people have NO sense of urgency. They allow you to make appts without first looking up to see which client you are and what notes may or may not be written. They over-promise and UNDER DELIVER. They LIE and say someone showed up to the appt when there's quite literally zero chance of that being true. When they initially come to evaluate the issue, they don't do a full, thorough evaluation. As soon as they see one issue they chalk it up to that issue and that alone and order the parts. Then they come back with said part and whoopsiiie! There's another issue...ummmm? Could you not have identified that issue THE FIRST TIME SO THAT ALL PARTS COULD BE ORDERED AND THEN INSTALLED AT THE SAME TIME?!! The answer is no. That would make FAR too much sense. I digress. Yesterday they showed up with what they said was gonna fix the issue. First of all, they propped my front door and screen open without even asking if I had animals. I DO, A CAT WHO IS A PRINCESS AND NOT FOR THE STREETS. She is my CHILD, okay? They demanded payment ahead of time which, um, WHAAAT? First of all, I'm the tenant. That should have been taken care of with my landlord ahead of time. So unprofessional. Secondly, who in the eff makes you pay ahead of time? I'll tell you: people who don't believe in the quality of their work. They didn't even have a damn pen on them for me to sign the paperwork. They asked for water multiple times (generally would be happy to provide, but after all they've put me through it's like, THE AUDACITY?!!) but I'm not a mean spirited person so I obvs gave it to them. I'm no monster. anyway he told me give it 3-4 hours to cool down. Seeing as how I had been without air, my laundry had piled up and I didn't cook at all bc it was already hot enough. So, I was cooking and doing laundry all day yesterday so I didn't expect it to get down to 70, which was what the thermostat was set to. Welp, the coolest it got was 76. Quick, ask me what temp it is now? MOTHER EFFING 81. I have now broken out in heat and stress rashes ALL over my body. Did I mention that my AC went out last summer too and they're the ones who "fixed" it then, too? Well, Rae, why keep using a company? BECAUSE THEY ARE WHO THE WARRANTY COMPANY USES SO THERES NO CHOICE. And, alas, therein lies the problem. They are lazy, not prompt, unreliable, do crappy work, lie, over promise, don't do their due-diligence etc BECAUSE THEY KNOW THEY CAN. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! If American Home Shield assigns this company to you, demand another service provider. They visited my home three times, and each tech provided a different reason why the AC was not working or what needed to occur to get it working. Their communication leaves much to be desired, and you must follow up with them. There is no central office; it comes off as if they are conducting business from a cell phone in someone's pocket. When I called them about why I hadn't heard from them in two weeks, he told me that they wanted nothing to do with my job. However, when HS called about the job, he denied saying that and said he was willing to complete the work. HS customer services does not believe in the customer but rather in the contractors. The work order is marked complete but was never completed. Furthermore, after having an independent contract look at the pipes they claimed needed to be replaced with PVC pipe, it was determined that they were mistaking PVC pipes with poly pipes due to the wrapping of the pipes that prevents condensation. This company is making a killing from completing work orders from HS and does not care about the customer but rather their contract with HS. DO NOT USE THEM HS customer or not! Also, on the third visit, the techs that came out did not speak English and could not communicate what they were doing. They had to call the main office to get someone to translate. My AC had mold in it and was blocking the air flow. I called them to see if they could repair it and all they did was look inside of it and leave. They are TERRIBLE. My home insurance contracted with them to fix my AC. They fixed it, but in the process, completely clogged my bathroom sink and left debris all over the floor. One of the guys tried to flush little bit of what looks like insulation... down the bathroom sink. They clogged it up and when I went into the bathroom a few hours later I found debris all over the bowl and a sink that wouldn't drain. Those asses clogged my sink, said nothing about it- and left! I called the company that night and explained shT they had done after an entire bottle of Drano didn't work. That was September 26th. It's October 5th and they have made zero attempts to call me back or apologize. Added to that- I think they may be scamming my insurance company. I'm not sure, but when they diagnosed my problem they said I had a Freon leak in the attic. However, when they came to repair the AC they never added Freon and said I had plenty. Royal Flush AC was contracted to install new AC in June 2021. I now have confirmation after my celling fell in damaging surrounding walls and mold issues - see attached photo. Both Jose & George lack the expertise for the Job. There focus is getting as much from you as possible. They try to sell me Thermostat that came with the AC for $199, which I refused after paying $1,278 in deductible directly to Royal flush. I called other company to repairs and they tell me the installation was not completed neither was it done correctly, meaning, it does not meet the code/standard. Jose of Royal Flush A/C came out this morning, on a Sunday, to repair my unit which suddenly stopped working. He was able to identify and explain to me the root cause of the problem, which was that the water pipe that exits the unit is clogged up, and that a plumber can unclog the pipe. The previous company that came out, 3 months ago, was unable to identify or explain the reason the A/C stopped working or how to prevent it from happening again. Not only was Jose able to get the unit working again, he also checked the refrigerant level and did an overall thorough job. Jose also provided a direct contact number in case I need him again. I am very satisfied with the results, especially on a Sunday, outside of normal business hours! read more

They installed a mini split last year as part of a home warranty repair. Less than a year later, the unit has failed. They claim the manufacturer won't honor the warranty, and the home warranty company (AHS) won't buy a new unit because it should be covered by the mfg warranty. This whole process started a month ago. I'm left with a unit that has been removed from the wall, and a company that doesn't stand by work that did less than a year ago. Warranty issues aside, these guys don't return phone calls. The technicians that show up at you house don't speak english, so all I get out of them is "manager will call you" -- he then doesn't call. When I do get someone and get an update, they regularly say "I'll check on that and call you tomorrow.". They **NEVER** call back. POOR communications, POOR follow through. read more

We converted our garage into a game room and the mini split pushes nice cold ac into that space now thanks to Royal Flush AC installation. The upgraded nest thermostat to replace my old one is also awesome. Also something I asked for, to be installed. I'm happy with the quality and service received. I was hesitant to book initially but decided to compare google reviews for a more unbias opinion. The other home owners on here are just upset it seems that they had to pay the difference out of pocket but in all reality, the home warranties generally don't. That's common sense (at least I thought). It's sad more people are eager to say negative things vs the good. I don't even think I can give them a star. They came out to fix my ac that had stopped working. They were assigned to me through American Homeshield. At the time when they came out my ac started working. The only thing they could find wrong was the line from the tray to the outside was broken. They said it should be covered and would file the paperwork to get it approved. I was not supposed to run my ac until then. My 88 year old mother lives with me and the temperatures were in the upper 90s. To say the least that wasn't going to happen. This was July 16. The next week the ac stopped again and of course started working by the time they came out. They said it was the thermostat and replaced my nest with a cheap thermostat. Writhin a week wasn't working again and came out and it was a part that needed replaced. Finally fixed. I wanted them to put my nest thermostat back but for some reason they said they couldn't. Found out it's because they didn't keep everything for my nest. Since then the tray started leaking and stained the ceiling and they have still never replaced the line. I have had the worst experience with this company. Firstly, they never answer their phone. They schedule a time to fix my AC and told me they would arrive between 4 and 6pm. When 6pm arrived they were no where to be found. They didn't call to let me know they would be late. They didn't answer my repeated calls to find out if they were still coming. They finally arrived at 8:30 with no apology or explanation as to why they were late. To make matters worse, they send 3 teenagers to fix my AC. I am researching through my attorneys to find out if these teenagers were actually licensed. I had to take pictures of them the ragady truck they arrived in and the license plate number. The manager showed a little later and stayed in his truck most of the time. He didn't check on their work at all. This company has the worst customer service and I would run as fast as possible from them. Don't use them. read more

They claimed the one my insurance covers will fail again in 3-5 years and suggested I get a better one through them at $2,399. We exchanged a few words, and the when my home insurance called me, they had apparently put in an order with $1000 of uncovered BS items. I would not recommend Royal Flush. They came out to do a heater check up through my home warranty company. They said everything was fine except my UV light purifier was not working. He offered to install a Reme Halo purifier for $1,300. I called my home warranty company to see about getting the light purifier fixed before investigating replacing it. They sent out a different company and when they looked, they found I did not even have a UV light purifier. So, Royal Flush lied and tried to sell me something that was very expensive. And their pricing for the Reme Halo was absurd. I looked and can buy a Reme Halo for under $100 myself. The other company that came out said they could install a light purifier for $300 and a Reme Halo for $800. So, I would not recommend using Royal Flush. read more

They installed a new compressor almost 2 years ago through American home shield. It stopped working. I called American Home Shield. Their new AC company said it was installed to the wrong coil system. American Home Shield said they would not pay for the mistake even though it was made by their contractor. When I complained they said they would send Royal Flush out to see. It's been a week with no air and I haven't heard from either. We are seniors in our eighties and 20 year customers of American Home Shield. They've gotten too big. I would give ZERO stars. This is the company that my home warranty company uses. They have zero sense of urgency. They needed to file paperwork with my home warranty in order to begin the process of getting parts. They waited until I was frustrated and I called to find out why my claim hadn't moved forward- 2 DAYS later- before they even begun the process of filing for the part with my home warranty. Then it's 3-5 days from the day they file to get said part, then they set the install. It's August in Texas. I have zero confidence in their diagnosis that the compressor is bad. But once the part arrives I get to pay another $1k in freon, which is $68/pound. This company is used by warranty companies because no one paying out of pocket would use them. No one paying out of pocket would want to deal with their lack of customer service or urgency. They are aware that once you start the warranty process you have no choice but to proceed with using them, and it shows because they definitely have no pride, customer service or just general business etiquette in processing paper work. read more

I was forced to use this company because of my home warranty. My AC wasn't cooling my house as effectively as I thought it should. Royal Flush technician Bernardo came out on a Thursday and "accidentally" emptied the freon from my unit. After my home got up to 80 degrees I called and texted Bernardo multiple times with no response. I had to make another request through my home warranty. Royal Flush sent out Bernardo again and he did not arrive until almost 1pm. He stated he "accidentally" let out all the freon. He stated he recharged the system and proceeded to tell us that we should not have left a negative review without trying to reach him first. After showing him we did try he then stated he forgot to call us back. He then left the house and said the house should cool back down from 80 degrees in a couple hours. IT NEVER COOLED BACK DOWN! Once again we called Royal flush who told us another technician wouldn't be able to come out until MONDAY despite them causing this issue! They expected us to sit in a hot house all weekend. I had to hire an independent technician to come out and found out that Bernardo once again did not charge the system like he was supposed too! So now we have been sitting in a house that is 80 degrees for over 24 hours as we wait for our warranty company to send out another company to hopefully fix the issue that ROYAL FLUSH caused! read more

In August of 2019, we had vacation plans where we had rented a VRBO. The night before, our air conditioning kept tripping the breaker. We knew that the AC was not long for this world, because we had been having problems with it, but we kept putting off the inevitable. We were about to have dog sitters stay at our house, so we could not ask them to go outside at 3:00 AM to reset the breaker. The following morning, we contacted Royal Flush and by the end of the day, our very old and dead AC was replaced with a new Trane system. The installation looked like it should be in a textbook for how installations should look. The following spring, our second AC decided that it was dying as well. Instead of waiting until a crisis, we contacted Royal Flush and the following day they installed another system. The lead technician in both cases was Juan, and he is a perfectionist. He is the one who makes sure that the installations function well and look good. In late 2020, we moved to another house, one that had two very old and outdated air conditioning systems that the owner had disclosed frequently needed freon. We had been so pleased with Royal Flush that we saw no reason to obtain second quotes. Both systems - heating and air conditioning - were replaced by Juan. Again, he cleaned up the mess of ductwork that had been done by the builder and made the two heaters/air conditioners look perfect. The filters for the AC were now the 4" pleated versions in the attic. We really feel like we have a system that we can trust now for many years to come. Today, I had the pleasure of meeting Paul, one of the Royal Flush technicians. He did the spring check-up for the system, and he installed two new smart thermostats. He was courteous, friendly, efficient and professional. The installation of the thermostats went perfectly, and again, we couldn't be happier. It is nice to now be able to tell Alexa to change the temperature, or even check to see what the setting is. By the way, the system checked out well and Paul left all of the statistics with us. Royal Flush will be the company we will go to for all service on our new systems. Again, these are the third and fourth systems that we have done by them, so we really do like their service. read more

Not a good choice at all. Total Protect sent them out on an AC repair. Regarding Royal Flush, when I found out they were the vendor selected I looked up the business address - a home in Kingwood TX. The service tech first checked out the unit in the attic - when he came down I asked if there were any problems - his answer "no". If checking the outside for pressures he informed the coolant was very low. I asked if the warranty would pay for that he said not that low, I asked him how much it would cost and his answer was about $1240 for 15-18 lbs needed. He then went on a sales pitch about my unit being old an R-22 and that I needed to look at replacing it with a Trane system and would get the cost for me. Then he said he would find a leak and went back upstairs - and found one. When he came down to review the work order, he said nothing about an "improperly install air return", (the reason he gave Total Protect for denying my claim according to Total Protect). His sales pitch was more on replacing the coil with a new Trane coil at $2299 and a new 5 ton Trane condenser at $4499, with all the financing options. I have since had another AC company that has been in the business in Cypress for 30+ years check out the system and it was not an "improperly installed air return". And refiling a claim with Total Protect. read more

When we had ceiling repair guys come out they actually found the real leak and the Royal Flush AC company then had to come back and repair the actual leak. They also told us their guys who exchanged the part they thought it was should have caught the real leak. So essentially they confirmed they have workers who have no idea what they are doing. All he was worried about is how I cut him off in conversation, and how he was being miss treated! So I stayed quite for him to speak, and he would not talk?!?! So I asked, "can we move forward" with pricing info and payment options. This is a month after Harvey hit Houston. So we were in financial hardship. The warranty company was ok with us doing one unit at a time. Andrew's response to payment options was, "for you cash only, and both need to be fix at same time." I expressed what the warranty company said about fixing one unit at a time. Andrew said, "I don't know what was discussed, you have to call them." So after back and forth, Andrew finally said, "he could not help us with our A/C's, and to find another company." After two statements before claiming he had helped many families with their A/C. Andrew's customer service is non existent, he's only worried about how he's being treated by the customer. I thought it was the other way around? After he hung up, 10 minutes later, the warranty company calls me and said, I had a problem with this company. I said ABSOLUTELY! Here's my question to Andrew, if you could call to say I have a problem with your company, why couldn't you call to verify that the warranty company would pay one unit at a time? Prior to this conversion with Andrew, I was on hold for an hour and 10 min to talk with someone at warranty company, it took less than 10 min for you to call and complain about me? This place is horrible. Called them out because a/c was tripping the breaker. First diagnosis was a weak capacitor and a weaker breaker. Tech replaced part and within fifteen minutes of him leaving the breaker tripped again. Company came back out and found a weak control board. Replaced part (at this point breaker has not been fixed). Now breaker is no longer tripping but the heat runs constantly, will not turn off. At some point the tech change my original service call to a heat pump issue. I live in Texas, so ONE day later I turn the A/C on for cool air and now the outside unit won't turn on. NO cool air. Called company back and they insisted I call an electrician and that would fix my A/C issue. Not the case. I call the company back and at this point they are insisting that this is an isolated issue and will require a new ticket/diagnosis. This company sent two different techs to disassemble my unit and replace parts and now I DO NOT have A/C and they want me to believe it is not replaced to anything they did within the last 7 days. 7 days!!! I never had problems with cool/hot air. My issue was the A/C tripping the breaker. It is unfortunate that anybody can open a business. Their work ethic is not honorable or consistent with a certified or knowledgeable company. Not only is this costing money but I've had to rearrange my schedule every other day just to be home and I'm not even getting real service. At this point they're guessing and wasting my time. Royal Flush were sent out by my home warranty company. The guy at the front office was extremely rude and would not give me the details of the work being performed prior to them coming out. When the repairs guy get out here the first thing they demand is payment before their other guys get out of the truck. They were very rude about it. I then asked what all is being replaced and they will not go into detail about the work they are doing. After I paid they then say they do not have a ladder to get in the attic. I'm sorry, but if the first thing you want is payment you should make sure you have all the tools necessary to do the job. If I could give zero stars, it would be appropriate for this outfit. We had a new system installed 6 weeks ago, and it's been nothing but problems since. The last time they came out, the repair lasted just a few hours. It will be another 3 days before they can get someone back out, this after waiting 4 days for a service call. So we will be without AC at least one week in 100+ degree temperatures. Apparently, if you need a new system, they're all over it. But if you need warranty work, good luck. I've had them out here several times through my home warranty company. I hired them to do very minor duct work. Employees are nice, they seem to know what they are doing. The finished new register and ceiling was left messy, fingerprints on my ceiling etc. But the main reason for this review is price gouging. They way overcharged me for the work. read more

Do not use. Royal Flush was referred by my home warranty company to complete work in Sept, 2018. They were to install an evaporator coil ( second in five years), drain modifications and related services. I paid for the out of contract services. Less than one year later, the system shuts down. ( New system installed in 2013 and compressor replaced in 2015) Warranty company sends another company. The second company advised that the drain pipe was installed incorrectly, which causes the water to settle and rise, no p-trap was installed and no shut-off value. At this rate the evaporator coil will go out in less that 5 years. The second company called in the diagnosis to warranty company. The warranty company called out Royal Flush. The employee came out and advised that everything was installed correctly and it was a matter of professional opinion. What a joke. The warranty company is not very helpful, because "it is a separate business transaction". Which is even more of joke. What a rip-off. I wonder how many others have been experience the same shenanigans? This will be reported to the State of Texas regulating agency and to the media. Be Ware! read more

Just want to put out there that I NEVER write reviews on Yelp (this is actually the first one), but I am so frustrated with the service of this company I just had to..... The home warranty company was the one who guided me to this company. Setting up the appointment was ok....got a call back within 2 hours and somebody was out to look at the house the following day. He took the time to really find the problem. I was told that the issue was going to be submitted to the home warranty company the following morning and they should know something that same day. I am now on day 5 and have not heard anything back. The home warranty company is also trying to get in touch with them. I have left 3 messages and the mailbox is now full. We are in Houston and it's over 100 degrees and our house is stuck around 80 degrees. if you are wanting some fast action help, this is not the company to call. read more
