The drinks at Kino were extremely sweet (sugar as filler) and weak! I had to mix more red wine in at the table.

I was invited to Kino by a group of friend's when visiting Barcelona in December 2015. Our group of 11 was as diverse as the mind could imagine with a friends from Wales to Morocco to Italy to the States and even ones native to Catalunya. The setup of Kino's outdoor area worked perfectly for our needs, we had a great time! Below are a few quick details I specifically recall... - Kino is situated in an art district of Barcelona (I think), really cool walk to get to it! - Indoor seating available in a very narrow room that was smoky as crap, but played American 90s hits! - Large, covered patio with ample seating and heaters... but nowhere to hang your belongings and I was told the area wasn't the best for stranger danger! - Good for groups in terms of seating, but the female servers both sucked in terms of the actual dining experience. - Best potato bravas I had while in Barcelona!! - Weak drinks (and waaayyyy too much sugar) so I had to mix my own. - Not a great spot if requiring separate checks, luckily our group did not!

Right near the MACBA museum you can get some energy before entering. I took vegetarian options: tapas (potato/tomato) and a sandwich (tomate, brie, guacamole). The tapas were spiced well and tasted fresh. It can get loud and busy but sitting outside I felt a nice breeze to ease the heat of summertime.

My partner and I popped into Kino for a quick drink while waiting for one of Barcelona's walking tours, as the tour company has suggested meeting there. It is located in a great area with lots going on. The MACBA (contemporary art museum) is right next door so you get an eclectic mix of people on the viscinity including skateboarders, artists and musicians. My Mojito wasn't great. The sugar hadn't been muddled in and it sat at the bottom my glass. This meant that most of the drink wasn't sweet enough and I had to leave the last quarter as it was far too sweet.

Very flavorful and fast experience. Oxtail and mashed potatoes 10/10: the oxtail meet is so tender and flavorful. The mashed potatoes pair so well with the oxtail. Mushroom, steak, and egg yolk 9/10: soo flavorful and balance of veggies and protein. Amazing textures and flavors. Sparkling sangria: 8/10 I don't normally live the taste of alcohol but this was great. Not tooooo strong and if tastes pretty good if you mix it with the orange juice. Fresh orange juice: 10/10 so tangy and delicious. I can't recommend it enough. Patatas bravas: 9/10 solid no complaints! Dessert Tapas: - bread dessert (Tarija): 11/10 amazing dessert that is creamy, cameralized, and has a mochi like texture. This fried chewy dessert is not too sweet and such an affordable price. - coconut pudding 9/10 solid and refreshing if you like flan - bread, chocolate oil, salt 7/10: I live the complex flavors. The chocolate mousse was light and the bread to mousse ratio was perfect. It's a smaller dessert tho I wouldn't recommend it if ur sharing. Service: amazing! Staff I'm everywhere so it was very easy to order more food. Also we were sitting buy the area where they made dessert and they allowed me to record them making it!! Comfortable ambiance great for date night or casual meals!!!

Wow, this meal was so good I literally made another reservation after we left. This place might be…read moreadvertised as a tapas restaurant, but it's much more than that. The service was excellent, our server spoke English and knew so much about American pop culture. He even sang NSYNC songs to us while serving us dishes. As for the food let's get into it: - Lobster Croquettes (8/10) We've had a lot of croquettes this trip, but these were on another level, get one per person. - Paella (7.5/10) Different style of paella from other places we went. It was almost like a paella curry, which was still rich and delicious. - Squid Sandwich (10/10) This is hands down the best appetizer I've ever had. The squid was packed with flavor and the mayo sauce they used paired perfectly. Order one per person, and be prepared to order another to go. - Garlic Shrimp (8/10) Solid entree paired with sourdough bread. Dip that bread into the sauce and you'll be satisfied. - Aged Beef Steak w/ Foie Gras (9/10) This might be one of the best steak dishes I've had traveling abroad. It was cooked perfectly, and came with a potato crust on the bottom and Foie Gras on top. Definitely a must order. Overall a great experience, from the service and ambiance to the quality of the food, this is a must try when visiting Barcelona. Would I go again? Absolutely!

Delicious variety of tapas in a bright cheery environment! Definitely make a reservation because…read morethe line was piling out the door even for a weekday lunch. The menu has a nice variety of items, and they're all pretty small so you can try a lot. Our favorite was the squid sandwich, a super unique must get! We also really liked the garlic shrimp, which had a nice fragrant flavor from the heads. The tiramisu was also delightful with a nice balance of sweet and bitter flavors. We heard the razor clams were really good, but they didn't have any the day we visited which was a bummer!
