Wanted to update and say that I've been using this nail salon for over a year now! Diane is amazing and always does a great job with whatever photos I bring her as inspiration. If you happen to have a bad experience here, I would recommend trying one more nail tech before giving up. Every nail tech seems to have their own style and aesthetic for certain things. Ive gone to Kiora off and on over the years for manicures and pedicures. I find I'm usually happy with the pedicures, but the manicures are sub par to quality I've received at other salons. And I've tried different techs here. Even with visits spaced out by months, I feel it's always hit or miss with manicure quality. This last week I went in for a mani and pedicure and the pedicure came out well, a little boxy in the cut back but not terrible. The manicure was dip and I noticed instead of using dip powder they used acrylic powder, which is not as fine as dip powder. Some salons will say "oh there is no difference", but true dip powder is micro fine and manufactured that way and acrylic powder is not. The manicure I received has multiple blemishes on different nails, bumps, textures, and discoloration spots. This is all hallmark of poorly applied acrylic powder where dip is finer and has a smoother finish. Further, I asked for a certain shape and my nails were cut back way too far and the "dip" powder put on way to thick. It looks very boxy, thick, and uneven across the different nails. I'm a bit embarrassed by them. And the amount of filing the technician did was overkill, they shouldn't be filing my nail beds and for all the sanding and filing they did, for the application to still be super thick and look like I have crushed skittles on my fingers, is not a good experience. I'm also concerned with the hygiene by using dipping containers. There are no preventative measures in place and each customers fingers gets dipped into the same jar vs applying with a brush or smaller throw away container. This spreads worts and herpes and is a very dangerous practice, considering abrasions made on skin during so much sanding and cuticle cutting. A throw away container would be better to use. The technicians also don't encourage wearing of masks to customers when they are filing and the acrylic and dip dust is a lung irritant. I feel that hygiene could be improved in this process and better training on the application. There's also the concern of a customer choosing dip powder nails but receiving acrylic powder instead which is different to the trained eye in quality and perceived or even actual value. My end costs are also always different and not in line with the menu of costs. Every single time and I still tip well but with shifting costs for basic services with no designs and sub par quality and questionable hygiene, I don't know if I can recommend them. I've been to much better salons in the local area that cost a bit less. Kiora has very kind staff and they are pleasant but the quality of the manicures has been a repeated questionable experience. I've also tried the gel and regular in the past and always walked away not overly thrilled. I have to say there is room for improvement here. I feel they specialize as a more urban or on trend nail salon where the other salons locally have a more classically polished finish product. read more

Before a trip to Arizona in early March 2020 I went in for what would be the best pedicure I've since ???!!! It was the called the Creative Pedicure and it's a process that will make the grungiest feet look and feel magically polished. This is the place you want to go post-pandemic 2020 just as things open again. There are sterile tools, a clean wrapped basin and one of the best techs with an amazing amount of patience to do a great job. I say all of this before my nails are sensitive and I cut easily. It's important and I don't normally trust the tech until I watch them like a hawk, lol. I wish I knew my nail artist's name but I forgot. The massages were superb, the soaks were relaxing and unique. Horrible experience from start to finish. I requested a specific, senior tech specifically and got somebody new. I got sprayed several times during pedicure (my shorts are WET at the back), rushed service, gel manicure looks like I painted my nails myself, no cuticle care, lotion - NOTHING. When I complained, mind you, I hate being this person and I was cringing having to say anything but the service, work and color selection choices were so bad. They also tried to charge me for wrong service at end (extra $10) because they did math wrong on services I got. Before I moved I came here a lot and now that i'm back in the area, I won't be back. The 50% off they offered me to come back to fix my gel manicure in ONE week (clearly they also knew it was bad but 50% off TODAY would have made a lot more sense) couldn't get me to waste another dollar here. A lot of nail salons in the area, so for the prices they charge, they need to work on training all staff.$85 wasted. Forgot to mention, I got cut during pedicure. Horrible. read more

Very unpleasant atmosphere and unpleasant employees. I first got a manicure and it hurt so bad and she rubbed so hard with her dremel it felt like my nails were on fire. I told her "please not do hard your hurting me" oh ok she said. And she continued to hurt and I had to continually have her stop. I'm not sensitive I've had my nails done for years but this woman was terrible. Then I moved onto my pedicure as nail beds were throbbing. She dug and cut so much I wound up with really bad infection with my nail beds on my toes. I could not wear shoes they hurt so bad. The sides of my feet were raw from her scrubbing so hard . I was leaving for vacation the next day or I would have just walked out. I will never go back there and I would never recommend this place. My technician; Tee was by far one of the best I've ever had. I called this morning for an appointment and got an appointment at 3pm. When I walked in I was greeted and promptly seated at a station. The nail salon is very nice and looks clean. They have a large selection of dip powder ($35) and gel ($28). I choose to get a dip powder manicure. Four of my nails had broken so she put tips on them so they would be even (+$5). The nail tech was friendly and talkative. Most importantly she took her time. I also got a heart design on two nails (+$5). Total I paid $45 for a dip powder manicure with four extensions, two hearts and a gel top coat. I thought the prices were reasonable for the quality and area. I was throughly impressed with the safety protocols. It was appointment only - which was easy to schedule online. When you arrived they took your temperature and was supplied hand sanitizer. Each station is barricaded by plastic dividers for both the patron and nail side. It was very clean and not very busy. I was provided a booklet of colors to choose for my gel manicure. At the end, they offer several options for lotion aromas which was nice to be able to choice. Although I got a single color, those near me has awesome artwork done. It's a hit or miss. I've been to this place 3 times. The first time I went, Diane did my nails and she did such a great job that I booked her for my 2nd appointment. During my 2nd appointment, Diane was still working on another customer so they asked if I could be seen by someone else. I agreed and was seen by an older tech who was so nice and also did a really great job on my nails. I naively thought that everyone at Kiora could do no wrong that when I went a 3rd time, I had no preference as to who was going to do my nails. So I was seen by a male tech (perhaps the only one there) and, unfortunately, he nicked both of my ring fingers. He put some type of ointment which I think numbed the pain because when I took a shower that night, my fingers felt so painful. The pain lasted a couple of days and they have now scabbed. I get my nails done regularly so I have been nicked before but never this painful nor to the point where it would even scab. When it was time to pay at the counter, he gave me hand lotion and cuticle oil (the cuticle oil pen doesn't work btw) and said it was a holiday giveaway but I'm a bit skeptical if that was really a holiday giveaway they were all doing or an apology for nicking me. I'm due to get my nails done again next week but I'm a bit traumatised to get them done at all. read more

Super cautious and clean (covid) my nails were done by Diane and I showed her a picture and they were exactly like it! First, they do excellent designs i must say. They do a lot of stuff other places dont. However, extremely pricey. Today saw a guy named kevin. Im sorry but i def dont recommend. He argued with me abt my nail cracking when i told him it needed more acrylic on the corner. Instead he filed it. When i got home abt 3 hrs later, guess what? It cracked. He also did not file under my nails and left them super thick. Said no need to file. I felt the environment to be very rude today. I dont know if ill be back. I've been here a few times now. I will say my deluxe $35 pedicure was amazing! Definitely the best pedicure I've had since moving to the area. However, this is the second time I've gotten a manicure there and have had it chip within a day. I get manicures pretty regularly and generally can get them to last at least 4-7 days. A professional business would apologize at least and not antagonize a customer that could potentially try their place again.. Also he says that my pedicure was an HOUR and a HALF. This is a complete LIE. It was a 35 minute pedicure. There are no hour and a half pedicures. And my review still stands. Stay away from these unprofessional people. Review: Good nails by Jackie but very overpriced for plastic extensions with gel over and a few caveats. It's been less than a week and the gel has lifted from the corners. I was quite surprised that even though I said I have been growing out my nails but wanted them longer she didn't ask me and just cut them down to the shortest length and glued on the extension. I was not happy when I saw her do this and I should have been asked before my nails were cut down. It was the most I've ever paid for a manicure as well. Most high end spas only charge about $55 for this service but they charge $75. Maybe if it was the fancy Apres Gel X Id be fine paying a lot because they don't cut your nails down and it's a high quality product. They use the least expensive idb gel with plastic glue on extensions. Also, like many nail salons there isn't the best "bedside manner". If you don't regularly get your nails done and admit to biting them in the past be prepared to get shamed like I have at every salon I go to. ( warning!! just checked my bank statement And saw that their ATM machine charges you more and doesn't tell you) I pulled out $20 bucks and accidentally hit the check balance first but nothing came up saying they charge you for that. It only say it's $1 to pull out money. They charged me $3. wtf?) Additionally I was really unhappy with the outcome of my $50 deluxe pedicure with someone else. Didn't clean under my nails and only did one coat of gel. Spent $20 more for gel. I won't be getting another pedicure by this person and I recommend just getting the most basic one if anything. I've lived in San Francisco and grew up in Napa which have some of the most expensive pricing in country so I do have sort of a good base for my perspective and knowing how pricing works. I've been a customer with Kiora for two years. Today I called to schedule an appointment for two people and when I called an automated voice recording notified me my calls from my number were being blocked from the establishment. When I called from a different phone to speak to management, which I got straight through, I was turned away telling me my only way of booking is online and that a payment would be due prior to services. When I asked why they explained I had missed an appointment and would no longer be able to book without upfront payment, which is not true. Unfortunately a while back my mother who is a caretaker for my disabled nephew had missed an appointment due to an unfortunate circumstance where he needed to be taken to a local hospital. We notified the establishment and received a notice of such. My mother was never under my account or phone number. Regardless either party should have never been penalized for such reasons after coming consistently and paying a reasonable amount each time. These unfortunate circumstances have led me to no longer support this establishment, which makes me sad because this was one of my favorite locations to receive my services ! This sucks ! read more

Looking for a new place to get my nails and feet done I was in Marlton today and Google searched my location and Kiora nail spa came up read the reviews and they were pretty popular 4 1/2 stars with 86 people positive reviews so I thought why not came in around 230 and they said that they were pretty busy had to come back at 6:15 which I did came back at 6:15 had my appointment and I was told I to leave because I wasn't wearing my mask I have a medical exemption card and I am also fully vaccinated so I was discriminated against for having a medical diagnosis that alleviates me from wearing a mask. Showed the girl my card that's says for medical reasons I do not have to wear a mask. Shame what our world is coming to. read more
