We are building an ADU in our backyard and doing most of the work ourselves. However, it is attached to the house, which is stucco. We wanted the ADU to match the house and didn't trust our own skills to pull of this particular trade. Kirk Giordano and his son Jason were helpful even before we hired them to do the job. They came over to look at the project and gave us tips on how to complete the lath ourselves, which saved us a bundle. When we came across questions, still before we committed to hiring them, they were happy to clear up our concerns and help us complete the lath work correctly. They were very understanding of our budget and even though they were the highest quote we got they were ultimately the ones we went with because we felt so comfortable in their abilities and skills. At every point in the process they were willing, excited even, to share what was being done and how and more importantly why. This family and their crew clearly love what they do and take pride in the work. They respected our space and our time, work efficiently and cleaned up well after themselves. They also told us how to care for the stucco both during the install and curing and for the life of the product. When the ADU stucco was complete the crew took the leftover stucco material and walked around the house patching damage that already existed on the main house as an added bonus. The end product matches the house in color and texture and we trust it will stand the test of time. 10 out of 10, would recommend to a friend.

Thank you Kirk and Team, I wanted to change the look of my back wall. I have great respect for your profession, especially after doing this project on my back retaining wall on my days off. Thank you for your many You-Tube videos, this was my first attempt at doing any type of stucco work, and If it weren't for your videos, this result would not have been possible! you have a great way of teaching and instructing for these projects, and yes, the radio is an important tool to this job site. :) I covered almost 120' X 6" and 8" tall on the neighbors wall to the right of the pictures. "Got real lucky with the weather, mostly overcast and cool in the morning here in La Verne last week" I purchased the materials you recommended at Thompson Building Materials, Fontana CA. Kirk, Thanks again for instructing and telling me what materials I needed to do this job correctly. "You do make a difference!!" Now for the Tiki Torches and some minor Landscaping. Sincerly, Bill Henley GO DODGERS!!

Kirk, I want to stucco an interior block wall that is clean, dry and had a water proofing paint applied years ago . I bought a bonding agent but not clear about how to use it. Should I stucco over the wet agent or let it dry a day? Thanks Mik

Hello Miki, first make sure this wall is cleaned well, as nothing adheres to a dusty surface, then roll on your bonding agent. I prefer, Larson’s, Weld Crete, their instructions say apply stucco, after it’s dry. After more than 30 years of using it,…

Hello sir, I am working on painting a building in Palm Springs & the owner would like us to restucco a heavily cracked wall. I've seen you use Weld-Crete. Would you recommend this product prior to a new finish coat over existing painted wall?

Good evening Art, excellent question, yes, I have been using Weld Crete by Larson's for close to 40 years and have never had an issue of stucco separating from a painted wall.…

Siiigh... okay. Thanks for the speedy response and experienced knowledge. So, you would recommend ANY form of concrete for showers?

Hi Jenna sorry no, I would strongly recommend a quality tie, I have close to 900 videos on teaching plastering on youtube in 8 years time, I don't tend to cut my throat for business, but at the same time I could not apply any lime plaster which…

We want to plaster a 2 year old tiled shower. I want a smooth gloss white or grey finish. Any DIY suggestions? Do we have to remove title?

Hello Jenna, doubtful you will not like my answer, however here it is, due to past experiences, I don’t’ advise plastering in a shower, thus I don't do this anymore.…

The patches looked awful, and a second attempt to correct them failed, too. Then I did some research and found Davis Stucco. From the very first interactions via email, I was impressed by how promptly and clearly Andy communicated. He came to my house on time and showed a depth of knowledge I had not found with other contractors. He also explained in detail what he could do and why each step was important. Then he executed on time and according to plan. The resulting patches match the historic edifice perfectly. They integrate with the existing stucco seamlessly, and this is a huge relief. His team was courteous, and they cleaned up beautifully. I would not hesitate to work with Andy again.

We had gone quite a few rounds with the other contractor but the wall just didn't meet our quality standards. Andy was super responsive, professional, and very friendly. He was confident that he could match the stucco with no problem. He came over a few days later, shaved down the old stucco, revised the work with new stucco within an hour. It matched perfectly! I didn't realize Stucco was something that required a bit more specialization, and Andy is definitely your guy if you need quality stucco work. I would hire Andy again in a heartbeat if we had any stucco needs in the future!

Morales Plastering Construction has been our smoothest experience yet! The owner, Alejandro Morales, is a joy to work with. He takes immense pride in his work, and it's evident that his team respects and enjoys working for him. He is a hands-on owner who (literally) isn't afraid to get his hands dirty to ensure the highest quality; he even personally helped complete the finishing paint work on the repaired stucco and surrounding areas. Communication with Alejandro and his team was top-notch. All workers showed up on time and cleaned the job site at the end of each day. We had multiple leaks in our windows, and Mr. Morales was able to diagnose the root cause immediately. He offered repair recommendations and a very fair quote--a much better route than replacing the windows entirely! If you have leaks associated with rain or any non-roof-related stucco or siding issues, look no further than Morales Plastering Construction!

I received four proposals and carefully reviewed Yelp pages, photos, and customer feedback before making my decision. Morales Plastering submitted the most competitive bid, but what really set them apart was their commitment to timeline and communication. They promised to start within 2 to 3 days of signing the contract and receiving the deposit, and to complete the work within two weeks. They delivered exactly as promised. From the waterproofing and lath installation to the scratch and brown coats, each crew arrived on time, worked hard, and thoroughly cleaned up at the end of each day. It was clear that every phase was handled by experienced professionals who took pride in their work. The highlight of the project was the finish coat. The color matching of both the main house and trim was nearly perfect, blending seamlessly with our 17-year-old stucco. Unless you knew where the repair was made, it would be difficult to tell any work had been done. As an added bonus, Morales Plastering left two buckets of matching stucco for future touch-up work, which demonstrates their attention to customer service and long-term satisfaction. I am extremely pleased with the quality, professionalism, and reliability of Morales Plastering. I would not hesitate to use them again for future projects and highly recommend them to anyone looking for stucco repair or plastering work.

Roof leaking, windows leaking, wood rot, termite damage. What a mess. Seamus has the skills (and in the case of the roof, the associates) to fix all of these problems. His team chiseled out all of the aged stucco and added new chicken wire, flashing and weep screeds. He removed all the rotten wood and essentially rebuilt the front corner of my house, including a decorative wall that was so leaky that its bones had completely rotted away. Then his team re-applied base stucco and let it cure properly before mixing a beautifully colored finishing coat that was perfectly textured. The house looks amazing now. I had been putting my head in the sand for years, ignoring all the growing cracks in the stucco and knowing that water was soaking the bones of my house. I have peace of mind now. Also, as people note below, Seamus is responsive and a good communicator. So important in a contractor. Thanks Seamus.
