When I arrived home from work on Tuesday 5-26-26 I noticed the temperature was quite warm and the AC was not cooling. I called Kirkland around 7PM and spoke with their Tech Matthew who offered to come right over. I declined because it was raining heavily and I could wait until the next morning for a repair. Matthew stated on the phone it was probably the capacitor and he would be over at 8AM the next day. He arrived on time and replaced the damaged capacitor bringing the AC back to working. Matthew was punctual, knowledgeable and friendly and the pricing for the repair I felt was very reasonable. I have dealt with 2 other HVAC companies in the past and because of their performances, I did not call them again. I wish I could give Kirkland 6 stars instead of the max 5 allowed. Hey I was just watching Dateline about crook AC companies and I was reminded that I needed to write a review. This is a GREAT company! Call these guys out and you will get the honest deal!!! Ok the cooling tower fan motor was making a screeching noise. I looked at it and could tell the bearing was going bad. I went to a AC supply and bought a new spec replacement motor and a new capacitor. Came home and took the old one off, which by now failed, and started to change them out. I couldn't get the fan off the shaft it was rusted. i put releasing agents on it to no avail. FAIL. Next morning I call Kirkland at 7:30 AM and speak to Mike. He listened to my story and went to the shop and called me back. He is going to use the parts I bought and had waiting in the garage. He called Kathy and said he will be out at 10:00 am. Mike arrived on time went out and replaced the motor and got the fan off with a puller and put it all together. Worked fine and only charged $89.00 !!!!! This company is AMAZING! Fair prices, honest, reliable, speed of service... you name it they are it! If you are looking for a company that won't try to take you to the cleaners for something small that can be fixed, this is it! The teams that I have had come out in the past few weeks for various issues with my HVAC have been great. Josh has been out twice and I did not catch the name of the other guys (sorry guys!). We had our HVAC shut down at the end of the day, I got up the next morning and looked through what I knew to look at, as any good homeowner would, after looking I realized this was something I couldn't figure out my self and I needed a professional. I called around as the house began to heat up, to multiple "big name" companies who put ads out daily about cheap convenient same day service, they spent 5-10 mins getting all my info before telling me they could be out in a month to a month and a half... it's getting into summer and I told you my AC is out and you wasted my time getting my info just to tell me you can't help me!... ANYWHOO! Called Kirkland, they were the closest to me on google maps out here in Dallas, GA, receptionist was very nice and to the point and told me the guys could be out in a few hours. None of the nonsense about an emergency call or extra money, just they the guys would be out and will call when they are on the way. Josh got there and looked into what was going on and quickly found out that it was a fuse that popped causing the system to shut down. He could have said it was anything at this point and I would have had to believe him but he told me what it was, patched up a couple wires and got it back working and I paid. There were no extra fees no price gouging, just a fair price for a great service experience! Of course the fuse popped again the next evening! I tried to replace the fuse but something kept making it pop so of course I called again the next morning hoping for the same quick service. I got an appointment for a couple hours later! A new team of guys had come out and I gave them the rundown of what had happened. They jumped right in and got me taken care of letting me know it was probably a wire that was recently enclosed and let me know what the possibilities were. They took care of it and made sure it was not popping any more. Once again they could have said it was anything they they wanted at that point and I would have been at their mercy. It takes honest guys and an honest company to make sure their customers aren't taken advantage of! I told my wife this call would probably be more expensive due to the work they had done, to my amazement they waved the service fee with out me asking and I paid for only the work they had done! I know this was long but having been in the retail industry and growing up in construction I know how hard it is to get good review or feedback! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!! read more

I'd give 10 stars if I could. We used Kirkland on a recommendation from a friend. The first call was related to our AC tripping the breaker. I had upgraded the wiring and breaker on the recommendation of an electrician and the unit was still tripping the breaker. They came out and installed a hard start unit and suggested cleaning the coils. The unit was working despite being 20 years old. The previous owner had the propane tank removed because he could not afford it. He used the wood burning stove in the house for heat. We wanted propane. Had the tank delivered and called Kirkland to get it hooked up and inspect the furnace. The news wasn't good. They pretty much said there wasn't much they could do because of the condition of the unit. Also, the duct work was really in bad shape. This wasn't much of a surprise based on the inspection we had done. We had them provide a quote to install an all new system with all new duct work because the old ducts were in such bad shape and not properly wrapped. At first I felt it was a bit high but it needed to be done. So we pulled the trigger. Chris and his team worked for 3 and 1/2 days. They removed the old system, removed the heat / air exchange under the house and removed all the old duct work. The installed a package unit which places the heat and AC outside the house with a return and main through the side of the crawl space. They replaced the duct work with a true sheet metal duct with reducers and minimal flex duct. They replaced or repaired all the existing vent boxes including making sure they were all insulated. They increased the size of two of the returns and added an new vent in one of the bathrooms. This was a TON of work. We could not be happier with the result, the service, or the price. After seeing everything they did, what we paid was well worth it. These guys are straight shooters. They know what they are doing. My AC went out yesterday evening. I called my regular HVAC guys that I've been with for 22 years. They told me there were booked and couldn't get out for another three days. This morning I called Kirkland Air Conditioning and Heat. I spoke with Charles who was super friendly and helpful. He did some trouble shooting over the phone in an attempt to save me money. He did end up coming out....and it was within the hour! He was great and very honest! I only ended up paying the service call fee. VERY IMPRESSED! I highly recommend this company and will use them in the future! read more

I'd been having problems with the upstairs heat pump system at my house failing to cool properly and so I reached out to one of the big name companies in Atlanta. Their tech spent about 15 minutes of diagnostic time to tell me I needed a brand new heat pump (compressor and air handler). They recommended upsizing the system to a larger unit and offered a 14 SEER unit at close to $7K installed. I felt not only was the cost too high, but also I didn't feel good about their diagnosis. I then reached out to a second HVAC company, which turns out was the company the prior homeowner used to replace the compressor twice in the past 6 years. That alone should have been a red flag. The service tech who came out to the house was rude and once he found out another company had touched the unit, he packed up his van and drove off without even trying to diagnose the system. Turns out the unit was under warranty, unbeknownst to me, and they had been forced to perform warranty repairs prior to my ownership. Finally acting on a late recommendation, I called Kirkland. Matt, the tech who came out to my house, was very professional and courteous. He spent almost an hour trying to really understand what was wrong with my unit and it came down to a faulty overheat switch in the compressor, which cannot be replaced. He reviewed the options with me, which came down to another compressor replacement at around $2K or the replacement of the full system at closer to $4K for a more efficient 14 SEER system. I ultimately went with the full replacement because the air handler and coils were about 11yrs old and I figured it would be best to spend slightly more to have a full warranty on everything. When Kirkland came out to replace the unit they ran into a snag where the prior installation company had really hacked up and incorrectly spliced the control wiring. New wiring had to be installed which unfortunately meant the work couldn't be completed same day. Kirkland did install temporary window units for the 4 days it took to get the final installation scheduled, however I was never charged anything above my original quote, despite the significant extra work. Overall I felt like Kirkland was very honest about the problems and very competitive on the pricing. I would highly recommend them for anyone with HVAC problems. read more

I recently had Kirkland's replace my builder grade 16 year old heating and cooling units. I have 2 separate units for upstairs and downstairs. I initially got a quote from Peachtree because I have had a maintenance plan with them for many years. They are nice enough and competent folks but HIGH on repairs and new equipment. I told Chris at Kirkland's what I had been quoted. He came back with a quote nearly $3000 less. Same warranty as the higher quote I had received and based on as good or better equipment. I had a budget I had stay within and they were extremely helpful getting me all they could for the amount they could get me in financing plus the cash I had to put with it. I ended up with 2 new ac units and one new furnace. I couldn't afford the second furnace at the time but it still has some life left in it thankfully. They even left me several spare parts from the furnace they removed in case I have issues with the old unit. Everything is working great at this time and I am very satisfied with the service I received from them. I will definitely be using them for my service/maintenance plan when the time comes.
