She's super knowledgeable about all of the services and anytime I am interested in another area of my skin or face. She always has the best recommendations on treatments. 0 stars. I had an absolutely horrible experience at this med spa and would never recommend it to anyone. Immediately after being injected with lip dissolver, not only did my lips swell to a frightening size, but my entire face swelled up. The reaction was so severe it bordered on anaphylactic shock. A week later, I broke out in hives that lasted for over nine weeks. On top of that, I experienced symptoms resembling Bell's palsy. Because of this, I had to take time off both work and school while I saw multiple doctors, got bloodwork done, and even visited an allergist. Other reputable med spa providers I consulted with were shocked when I mentioned the business name. Multiple people instantly replied with, "Oh, Kim Burke." Each of them warned me that she has a bad reputation, with consistent feedback being that her customer service is awful and that she only cares about money, not her patients' wellbeing. Several providers suggested my reaction could have been due to the product being mixed improperly, injected incorrectly, being from a bad batch, expired product, or even something as serious as a dirty needle. When I requested a refund, Kim Burke completely dismissed me, refused to take responsibility, she stopped answering my phone calls and claimed none of my reactions were connected to the injection--even though the swelling and dangerous side effects started immediately after treatment. She even tried to blame it on "bee stings." For the record, I got allergy tested during this nightmare, and I'm not allergic to bees. Another provider asked if this med spa had the vial tested at a lab (which they are supposed to do if something is reported), but I was never informed of any testing or follow-up whatsoever. This entire ordeal has been traumatic, stressful, and unsafe. The dissolver clearly didn't work, and I suffered serious health consequences as a result. The way I was treated afterward makes it even worse. Kim Burke is a poor representation of professionalism or empathy and absolutely cannot take responsibility for her mistakes. This business is careless, dismissive, and dangerous. Please save yourself the hassle and time and DO NOT GO HERE. They should not be practicing. Terrible place. read more

OMG! Kim is everything! She is EXTREMELY TALENTED at what she does. Absolute perfection! I regularly go for Botox. I have been getting Botox since 2004 with poor results from prior practitioners, (plastic surgeons), who either didn't know what they were doing and/or were diluting the Botox. The tip-off should have been that within a week after having Botox from these prior practitioners I had full movement in the treated areas. I guess I could have gone back to them for more, but at $19.00 per unit I think not! And with these prior practitioners my results lasted for four weeks, if I was lucky. This is not the case with Kim. Kim is a genius. She is extremely detail-oriented, and knows exactly where to inject/how much. I get sixty-five units and I forget how much per unit but it is WAY LESS than $19.00/unit. And for me the results literally last for a solid four and a half/five months. I have also gotten filler in the lips, cheeks, and nasolabial folds from Kim. Likewise perfection! None of the prior practitioners that I went to, (again plastic surgeons), had a clue on the different fillers, which filler would provide the best results, etc. All they kept pushing was "fat grafting," where they take fat from the stomach or buttocks and then harvest it and inject it into the lips or cheeks or nasolabial folds. Why do they push this fat grafting? Because it's way more expensive than fillers, as it is a quasi-surgical procedure. This fat grafting is not a good option at all. It is (a) invasive, as they have to prep the areas with tons of surgical solution and lidocaine, almost similar to stomach surgery and then use a twelve inch needle to yank out fat, (b) with the hundreds and hundreds of different fillers on the market entirely unnecessary, and (c) unpredictable with a high fail rate in that there is a strong possibility that the body will reject it. I know because I got suckered into it once. I looked worse when I walked out then when I walked in! Not over-filled, but the opposite! I have been getting filler for years, and I can honestly say that I walked out of these prior places looking no different than I did when I walked in. Again this is not the case with Kim. She knows about every filler known to man and explains the pros/cons of each filler well. Kim is extremely thorough, and knows where/how much to inject for optimal results. She also takes her time, and ensures the areas are appropriately numbed before she starts her magic. The results are pure perfection! Also and of equal importance is that Kim is extremely sweet and personable, as is her staff. And her facility is absolutely darling, and immaculate, like "eat off of the floor" immaculate. I can't say enough good things about Kim. Definitely a class act, A++++ all the way around!!! read more

Stop reading and book your appointment with her. I had been curious for some time about getting Botox in my forehead and for those pesky crows feet but was too nervous to even get a consult. Needles?!? In my face!?! Let me tell you I wish I had gone sooner. Lisa P. is an absolute angel. She was upfront and honest about how many injections I really needed. I felt relaxed and at ease after she explained the whole process to me and what it would feel like. TMI coming up: I have birthed a child, gotten two tattoos, ran the Chicago Marathon and had a 2nd degree burn on my leg so the thresh hold of physical pain I have experienced is pretty broad :) If you are concerned about injections being painful, don't be. It does not hurt at all. Uncomfortable, yes a little; painful? Not in the least. Lisa has a calming presence about her so any nerves you may have will melt away once she enters the room. I cannot recommend her enough. My first injections were in May and they are holding up beautifully. Lisa was dead-on, balls accurate (it's an industry term) as to how much/little Botox I needed. My skin was insanely smooth and flawless. My mom could not believe how natural it looked; my sister confessed to "not listening to the last 25 seconds of what you said" because she was too fixated on how amazing my forehead looked!! :) Anyhow. I've yammered on for long enough. Just go see Lisa and never look back. She is dang boss and you will never need to find another Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner for as long as you live. read more
