The paper work you fill out is a waste of time. They don't follow areas you ask to have focused on. I don't even think they read it. They spent more time try to sell add ons instead focusing on what you have already requested. And they take 10 mins of your massage time to change clothes. And to go over said paper work. But you're asked to come 15mins before so you can do all that. So you're not really getting what you pay for. 10/10 would not recommend. They don't even offer you water after your massage just go to the front and pay. read more

I requested a deep tissue massage, then I got someone who did not do deep tissue, Nicole. She seemed nice, but she only had one year experience, and she didn't really seem like she knew what she was doing. She was not comfortable with much, mostly just rubbing on oil only. In addition, she seemed like she was high on something, not weed, because her responses were very slow, and she had slurred speech, and her head was rolling a lot. So, I tried to stay, but eventually we just stopped and did not finish the massage and they did not charge me. So that was the good part. Next time schedule with a therapist who knows what they are doing, especially if the patient asked for a specific type of massage. Please do not waste anyone's time. Let's start out with this....... If I was to base my review solely on my massage therapist Steven, I'd be giving 5 stars all day long. Steven is such a great massage therapist. He truly listens to his patients needs and concerns. He gives a great massage every time I go. The 3 stars is being given because of the heavy set lady, who wears glasses, long black hair who was working on Sunday, June 29th, 2025 between the hours of 4pm and 5:30pm. When my awesome massage by Steven was completed, I headed upfront to give a tip and schedule another massage. I tell the lady at the front counter I would like to schedule a massage for July 13th, 2025 around the same time I had today. She proceeds to give me a bunch of different Sunday's in July and then into August. I keep saying no to the July Sunday's and tell her I had no availability in August. She then offered a weekday and I had to tell her 5 different times that I can't do weekdays and I was only able to come in on weekends. After the 5th time telling her NO WEEKENDS, she became very unprofessional and treated me rudely and was quite ignorant towards me. This behavior is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. I have been a customer with Massage Envy for many years. I initially started at the Orlando Park location and switched over to Tinley Park because of Steven's magic touch. And if it were not for Steven, I'd probably would've canceled my membership. read more

The facial was nice and the girl was nice but I feel like they ripped off my time. I paid AND tipped accordingly for a 90min facial with high frequency. I arrived at 2:10 for my 2:15 appt. I was off the table by 3:20. and when I realized I felt I was cut short, I was already on my way home, When I called the woman on the phone assured me it was 90mins and they include signing consent and taking my clothes on and off in the time. I booked a massage for my wife and I. her massage with Chris was great. My massage with Jennifer, not so great. It wasn't relaxing at all. She talked to me and asked unnecessary questions the whole time. She also had terrible body odor. I was not able to relax my entire massage because of this. A complete waste of money. They shouldn't be allowed to hold conversations the whole time because how can we relax if they are talking to us? and they are working very close to us so their hygiene must up to par. This franchise is a poor representation of Massage Envy. My idea of treating myself & being pampered to a spa day was tainted by my 90min facial. Considering, I've been a member for several yrs and never have I experienced what I experienced on this day of service. When I brought this to the management team it got WORSE!!!! I've talked to the entire management staff, wrote emails and still they would not refund me. It's unfortunate because they do have some great employees but need to retrain their management team on customer service. This is unfortunately that I get excuses from the management team & franchisee'. I'm a loyal customer who comes to get the proper treatment & experience. However, neither were met! Message Envy as a whole is a fraud! However this location Tinley Park is the worst. I decided to cancel my membership and was told I had 3 paid services to use. I also was given a card that states 3 services with dates. I called this establishment 9/13 after not hearing back from a manager to verify that the services were to be allowed. I also question that an additional 2 services should be rendered since they took money out of my account for May, June, July, and August. However, they are saying that I never canceled the August appointment. I disagree as I have never ghost my technician. Even if this was the case which it wasn't. They would still owe me 3 visits. I gave my mother a gift card for a massage and she was very disappointed. She called 2 weeks in advanced to make sure that she was scheduled with someone who would be able to give her a deep tissue massage. The receptionist told my mother that the massage therapist had been there for years and would be very capable of giving a deep tissue massage. The massage therapist, Janine, gave a very weak massage. She was asked several times to go deeper. She continued to just rub on her with no pressure. Worst customer service ever. I had an appointment for a facial on Thursday. I rearranged my work schedule for this appointment. I was called a few hours before the appointment to say that the app had allowed me to book during the clinician's break and that they needed to reschedule for Sunday at noon. On Sunday at 10 am, I call to confirm before driving to the spa. I was told that my appointment had been canceled by one of the employees and that they didn't know why. Someone else now had the appointment and they wanted ME to reschedule a third time for Monday. The manager offered me nothing to compensate for the inconvenience and her "apology" was "I'm sorry you feel that way." Years ago I booked a same day appointment but then realized within an hour of booking that I would not make it in time from work. They charged me two massages for the cancelation, yet when they unprofessionally and inconsiderately cancel twice (once without any notice), they offer nothing but a fake apology. Will be contacting corporate and canceling my membership. I work too hard to give my hard earned money to people who don't value me as a customer. Edit: I booked for today at a different location. ME Tinley called and said it se that I had booked at another location and offered to comp my facial for today. They also apology (a real one this time). While I'm not sure I'll keep my membership given this experience, I do feel a bit more valued and respected as a customer after the phone call. read more

I would give this place a 2.5. The only way I could describe my massage is by calling it BORING. My therapist did nothing more than rub me without any impressive technique. I asked her to massage deeper a couple of times and she would for a minute or 2 and then again fall into these light strokes that didn't even have a rhythm or pattern. The therapist had cold hands and the room was no warmer. The best part of my massage was the heated table. In total I would say my hour massage was 45 minutes. After asking me to undress and lay face down, it took the therapist a good 6-7 minutes to walk back into the room. And then I was out of the room before the hour was even over. Still no phone call, still no concessions for her staffs behavior, no ownership for her behavior and basically just not understanding how wrong this is. She stated they lock doors after 6 pm. This is just a lie. I had an appointment that ended after 6 pm on September 7th and the door was not locked . Second if this is true then the lady should have open led the door she was sitting at the desk peeking over the counter not wanting to deal with the rude conduct of hanging up on me. Third, I figured this location would lie so I sat outside from a distance to see if door was locked after the police left. The door was not locked and several white people including staff walked in and out without hesitation. This store has some serious customer services issues that they are in denial about. It is so offensive for you to post these lies instead of taking ownership of your mistakes and your staff. No one especially black people need to patronize your business until you make serious changes. This is what's wrong with America. White privileged individuals running around with stereotypes of black people and running scared for no reason. The police would not have been necessary if she Had opened the.doors she refused to open the door after your store stole my money. End of story. I did not know what to expect. The concept of this shop being exclusive to massage therapy was interesting to me. Being a chain, I feared it would be like the massage version of a Great Clips where everything is standard. While you may get a decent haircut at Great Clips, they do not offer the same experience as going to a beautiful salon with scouted stylist talent. On the other hand, I could see how these people could be considered experts. A place where the focus is on the massage, instead of it being an afterthought or added feature. I have been the Red Door Spa, a very highly recommended spa. If I were to directly compare the two facilities, I would have to say they are in a dead heat. While Red Door may offer more services and a different experience, the actual is massage itself was of exactly the same caliber. Now that is not to say that Massage Envy doesn't offer a soothing spa-like atmosphere. They have comfortable waiting areas with nice amenities. However, what Massage Envy lacks in "spa experience," it makes up for in aspects like the "Massage Wellness Program." With this program, you pay $59 a month for a massage. If you do not use your massage one month, it rolls over onto the next. Any extra massages only cost $39. I really liked this concept and signed up immediately. I have only heard wonderful benefits to regular massages and look forward to all that it can offer me. I also appreciate the fact that if I do not use it within the month, I do not lose it. As for my massage therapist: I had Rachel. She was excellent. She adjusted to my pressure tolerance and was very sweet and calming. After the massage, she even gave me a few tips on loosing some areas she noticed it were tight. I found this helpful and above the call of duty. read more

I was hesitant to try this place out. Bottom line I prefer a more luxurious spa setting. I was excited about a 1.5 hour massage with a friend though and decided to try it out. I have to say Amy (massage therapist) was AMAZING! It's the second best massage of my life. That's only because nothing in the world can compare to Kohler spa in Burr Ridge. I really enjoyed the massage and seriously wish I could afford it daily. I highly recommend asking for her. My friend said Renee was the best she's ever had as well. My only complaint is the high pressure sales pitch by front desk staff at the end. I walked out so relaxed and happy and starving! My girlfriend and I were really anxious awaiting the amazing dinner we had planned after. The long checkout process really annoyed me. Long story short, you get the introductory rate your first time. If you decide to become a monthly member you always receive this rate. Otherwise, the standard rate is stupid expensive. My only issue with this is that we had to decide THAT day! I really wanted to sleep on it and discuss it with my BF prior to making that big of a financial commitment. I have the most wonderful massage therapist who is always professional and excellent at deep tissue massage. I won't say her name here because she already books up too fast and I have to plan way in advance. The people at the front desk are always helpful and seem to enjoy their jobs as well. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into this ME...the music and the calm atmosphere in addition to how friendly everyone was was amazing. My massage was average; I've had better. I think the woman who did my massage name was Gabriel. Would I return? Probably, if someone gave me a gift card. Personally, I'd rather pay for a "higher-end" experience. I received a gift card for Christmas from my daughter. The morning of my scheduled massage I had the stomach flu and called at 6 in the morning to cancel. I was pretty sure they would appreciate me staying home and not throwing up on my therapist but they did not appreciate it at all! I was charged $42.50 because I didn't cancel 24 hours before my appointment. I have tried with no positive result to get my money back. I would think because of health concerns they wouldn't have wanted me to come in but I now wish I had gone. With the coronavirus going around you can't be too careful. This was not my first ever massage, but it was definitely the best massage I have ever experienced. Brittany and Nicole at the front desk were super nice and friendly. We talked about a variety of random topics, and I had a blast talking to them. It made the atmosphere inviting and welcoming. They both were very knowledgeable about products in the store as well. Brittany ended up giving me her card for a facial, which I will be coming back to try as well. As for my massage, I was super impressed. My therapist was Krisha, and she was absolutely amazing. She knew her stuff and talked me through a lot of what she was going to do as well as talking to me so I didn't have to focus on the pain of the intense knots in my back. At the end of the session, she gave me some information on preventing my neck muscles from tension and pain. My experience at this Massage Envy location continues to be superb. Always greeted warmly by the front desk team and they handle my appointment, close out and rebooking for my next appointment without hardly any effort on my part. But more importantly, I'm always pleased by the massage I get when I see my regular therapist, Kathy. she always seems to find those tight spots even when I'm not aware yet they are there. She has never once made me feel rushed...as I have at some other places...even when I had so many tight spots to work out that she was really steaming along to get them all in the time allotted. Always super firendly and magically talented hands to boot! I whole heartedly endorse this location for Massage Envy...you just can't go wrong (I've never had a bad massage there--but prefer my regular above all others) and the price is pretty good also. read more
