Cute makeup shop in Provincetown. While on vacation in the area, we had some free time and happened upon this makeup shop. I was just looking around when I noticed that they had some of the makeup on sale for 50% off, specifically the Stilla brand. The owner (I assume) was very helpful when I asked her about the tinted moisturizer. There was never any pressure to buy and she was nice enough to write the specific tint for the moisturizer in case I wanted to purchase it another time. I was going to buy it from this place but out of habit, I asked to see the expiration date. Well, it had expired--in fact, all of them were expired. The owner was apologetic--I don't think she knew. Even still, I could go back to her shop. The service was great and it's good to support a small business. The shop is cutely decorated with two different entrances on the outside but they're both connected on the inside. The prices are slightly higher but they seem to have enough sales so it works out. read more

Any place that sells beauty products is a dangerous place for me. I live for a strong brow and a contoured face. I wear liquid liner every day of my life. Frequent Kamille quote: "Give me ten minutes to do my makeup; you know I can't leave my face in the bag!" Clearly, I was gonna visit Kiss And Makeup during my latest jaunt to Ptown. I mean, clearly. After thirty minutes of magical makeup playtime, I walked away with some badass OCC Lip Tar in tow. I coveted so much more than that though! Kiss And Makeup has all the skin and haircare bases covered. They have a section dedicated to essential brands like Mario Badescu, Oscar Blandi, and Clarisonic. The makeup offerings are a mix of hip, high-performance cult-favorites, like the aforementioned lip tars from OCC and tons of eye/lip palettes from theBalm. The prices are what you would expect from any high-end cosmetics shop, and the staff is awesome. It's everything a beauty addict could ever ask for. read more

This is by far one of my all time favorite makeup places to visit. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing and incredibly but it is also made extremely warm and welcoming by the owner. There has never been a single time I have not been in the area and left without making sure to stop in. I love the top quality products and the great feedback given each time I go in. Coming into this beautifully designed store was a real treat. The little sign hanging on the outside definitely caught my attention--the silhouettes of the couple kissing remind of a classic silhouette paper cut-outs. But the bigger draw is the well-lit interior and even better, the well-curated selection. Christine and Tim showed me their different lines and I learned about some new brands that I have not heard of before. I was very happy to take home a luxurious tube of mango scented sunscreen SPF 30. Much better than the normal stuff. I love that the store contributes to the community and the sales of her lipsticks go to a memorial fund. It's nice to hear about how the owner gives back to the community. It makes me want to do the same. Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, Kevin Aucoin, Stila, Sacha Juan, and more cult-favorite brands. The selection reflects a creme-de-la-creme selection that a fancy magazine beauty editor would pick up. read more

Great selection of men's product

I fell in love with the store as soon as I stepped in. It is a fairly small shop but all of the products are organized very neatly. All of the employees are super friendly and let me browse comfortably without feeling pressured to buy anything. They had an awesome selection of more "indie"/non-mainstream cosmetics (I was super excited to see Youngblood Cosmetics, which I had heard of online but had never seen in person) along with well-known companies such as Mario Badescu. I dropped by the store because I was in need of a new sunscreen for my face, and the employees were really helpful in helping me find one. They found one on sale that was perfect and just $7 with the discount. They were all well-informed on their products. They saw that I was really into one of the acne masks, but I didn't want to buy it that day. When I purchased the sunscreen, they gave me a generous sample of the mask which was great. I also found a few discontinued but well-sought after liptars from OCC that were only $8. This store was a true gem tucked away in Cape Cod, and I honestly think it was a better beauty experience than Sephora or department store makeup counters. read more

I heard about this place from a friend so i decided to check it out for myself this past week. You can tell the owner and the team know their products and have choosen the best of the best. I hit the men"s assortment of products that is clearly marked. Thank you for making it easy on us..I hate when the guys stuff is stuck in the back of the store like Sorfia. LOVE LOVE the selection of mens products. This place has all the key products guys and girls need. I ended up purchasing this amazing sent called burning leaves. Upon entering this shop, I felt like I had discovered a hidden gem in the heart of Provincetown. I love supporting local businesses, and Kiss and Makeup had a very appealing charm. As a huge beauty enthusiast, I was immediately drawn to the variety of makeup and skincare products this shop had to offer - from well known brand names to unique, lesser known brands. I was especially drawn to the Spellbound display, which offered an assortment of oils and candles that are absolutely perfect for meditation and overall well being. The men's section was just as exciting as the women's section, full of amazing brands and products that I had never even heard of! Part of me wanted to purchase half of the men's products due to their incredible scent. The owner herself was a complete doll. She was personable, friendly, and very informative on her products. She also helped me discover what is one of my new favorite body scrubs. I honestly could have stayed in this shop all day! read more

They have an awesome collection of scents and THE largest selection of beard care products I've seen anywhere. I can't speak to the cosmetics part of the shop, but there is tons of 'guy' stuff here. I could have spent days in this store !!! I was in Provincetown for the first time this past weekend and came into this store at least three times. What a beautiful and well put together collection of cosmetics and other beauty products. The brands in this store are well thought out-- some well known (i.e. Mario Badescu) and some perhaps not so well known but very cool (i.e. Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics) and I was excited to learn about them. The owner is absolutely lovely, gracious and helpful. I walked away purchasing some shaving oil for my dad and a "Juliette has a Gun" fragrance in "Miss Charming". I am makeup obsessed and an avid makeup reviewer and went into this store excited to see some familiar and unfamiliar brands. They even had a 50% off shelf that was very tempting for a bargain hunter like myself. But I did not buy anything. Why? Because I walked in and was completely ignored. Not even a hello. Another woman came in about 5 minutes after me and got showered with hellos and compliments about how much of a makeup connoisseur she must be with her makeup look and fake lashes. I am IN LOVE with this store, and although we have a lot of beauty supply stores in LA we don't have anything like this. Gorgeous store filled with A+ performance and artisanal products. There was wonderful skincare, makeup, bath goodies, fabulous men's grooming products in a separate room (as someone who does men's grooming professionally, I was amazed by the variety and scope of the stock), then gorgeous candles and perfumes... Looking around the store, you can tell that the owner, Christine is a connoisseur, and she has fantastic product knowledge in addition to having incredible energy. When I found out the team at Kiss and Makeup do makeup application, I did not hesitate to book them for my bridal party. Christine, the ethereally beautiful owner of the shop, and a true professional responded to my inquiry immediately - she also responded immediately to the panoply of idiotic questions which followed with kindness and patience. The day before the big event, I arrived at the shop for my pre-wedding consultation and application with Christine. This is included in the bridal makeup package and should not be skipped. Christine escorted me to a quiet little room in the back with windows overlooking the bay. What followed was a very pleasant conversation about makeup and a few other topics, as well as a masterful transformation. When I left I was 1) a siren, and 2) very calm considering my wedding was a day away. I so loved my look that I left it on and it lasted right through the rehearsal party (a total of twelve hours before I had to wash it off for bed). The day of the wedding, Christine and her colleague Tim were waiting for us bright and early at the shop. After Christine perfectly re-created the look for me we had agreed upon the day before; I had the pleasure of watching the others enjoy the experience of being pampered by Christine and Tim. We are an eclectic group - four women of varying age and taste yet somehow Christine and Tim were able to accommodate each of us with a uniquely flattering look. What's more, they were able to work this magic well within the time frame we had agreed upon. In fact, even including the time we took puttering around the amazing shop after we were done, we were out of there within an hour and a half. And it is an amazing shop. Even if you're not in the market to have your makeup done, you should really stop in to shop at Kiss and Makeup if you're a makeup enthusiast and happen to be in Provincetown. I was delighted by the excellent selection of obscure hyper pigmented cosmetics and exotic unguents. The shop is compact, but it is the real thing - everything (I mean everything) is crave-worthy and obviously curated with great care. read more
