I created a yelp account just to post about this experience. I had booked a salt scrub over the weekend at Shui Spa. My therapist only worked on me for 30 minutes total, even though the service was 55 minutes and rushed me out, barely speaking to me. The friend I was with experienced her entire hour-long massage, which added insult to injury as I was left waiting foolishly in the lobby for 30-40 minutes at a high top next to a pile of napkins. This service was 200$. Physicians who have training and education do not make this much in 30 minutes. Not only this, but the quality of service at the front check in desk for the spa was reminiscent at checking in at a hostel. The staff seemed agitated and pushy. I'm quite frankly shocked this place has so many good reviews. read more

While staying at the Crown Point, I had the pleasure of scheduling a massage at Shui Spa. That was the best decision I made that weekend. I relaxed in the hot tub before my appointment. I was then greeted by Tony Toland, who walked me to the massage room. He space was beautiful and serene. Tony's demeanor was so pleasant and even his voice was relaxing. As a diabetic, I usually have back and leg pains. Tony worked my legs, lower back, and shoulders. He worked knots in my legs and shoulders I didn't know I had. At the end, I was so relaxed that I didn't want to get up. I spent a few minutes in the sauna and steam room. I felt happy the rest of the day. Best weekend ever. read more

Hidden within the grounds of the Crowne Pointe Inn you'll find this hidden gem filled with a mineral salt hot tub, steam and sauna room. Along with these great amenities you can get a massage, manicure or pedicure. There are different packages that compliment the Crowne Pointe Inn's restaurant with relaxation and food. We had decided originally to get the spa package with dinner but decided against it as with the town so close, our day was filled with steps and sights. The spa from the outside looks like any of the other rooms at the Inn but go downstairs and it opens up to the amenities with a small area outside. Whether you are whispering because it is the culture of relaxation centers or you think your words will fill up the room is up to you. I felt a little confined and with all the good lounge seats taken up by other guests, we had moved outside where the cold area felt great after floating in the mineral salt hot tub. Making a tea for the both of us on this slightly cold October day, I was able to listen to the water flowing while the sun was shining taking in this small escape from the town and the inside sections of the spa. With small additions like tea/water, a bowl of fruit and separate portions of what appears to be rock salt, you can do a salt scrub while you sweat in the sauna or the steam room. With the spa as an addition to the Inn, it is a great all inclusive stay that will have you leaving feeling rested and relaxed after you leave good old Provincetown. read more

I had an excellent experience with Peter for a relaxation massage this past weekend. The check in with Aaron was simple and professional. I was welcomed into the spa and allowed time to change into a plush robe. I didn't have to wait...Peter greeted me and got started promptly with my treatment. It seems that the spa could be enhanced with a pre treatment and post treatment relaxation room... my only suggestion for improvement. It's nice to take a few moments to relish the glow before going back to the"real world". Peter had great technique. He checked in periodically with me... But unobtrusively. The Kiehl's massage product was heavenly- Smooth and highly moisturizing with little residue. Having had many massages, I can say that this treatment with Peter was excellent. I had a massage here yesterday and my son had one today and Peter our masseuse was wonderful. He definitely knew what he was doing and was mindful of my experience through the process checking in to see if his touch was right for me. I felt nurtured and taken care of, relaxed and definitely lighter after the massage. The amenities were good though I think they could make the 2 saunas a bit hotter. Everyone was very welcoming from the time I entered the hotel lobby and got led to the spa, to the man who told me where everything was, and the few people who were staying at the crown pointe using the spa facilities. I booked massages for my mom and I over the weekend with Eric and Peter. They were 2 of the best massages we have had! The place was clean and friendly from the moment we came in, giving us the option of sharing a room or having individual spaces (we opted for individual). Eric really took the time to listen to everything I had going on in my body and he is the only person I've ever had get out this one specific knot in my back with some deep tissue work I didn't know was even possible. He was extremely knowledgable and explained what he was doing any time I asked. I will definitely book again with him if I have the option! My mom said her experience was also excellent and she felt great afterward. She is older and very specific in her needs, often complains that something hurts after massage, so this one must have been special. :) Afterward we spent a little time in the downstairs spa area and enjoyed the salt water tub and sauna. Everything was clean and the environment was peaceful. There was a shower and small locker room and they provided towels, robes and slippers. The receptionist was so friendly as well, and they communicated everything we needed from start to finish. Overall excellent experience, highly recommend! read more

I did not have a good experience on my recent chemical peel. The esthetician said it was okay "that I can have a peel even after a derma planing" which I did recently I told him that, maybe he was not really fully listening that time. When he was applying the peel he rubbed his knuckles on the areas which I did derma plane and it hurt so bad. He should know that I easily hyper pigment since that my skin color is brown. He said he knew a lot of these cases, so if he does know it why is he doing the same mistake anyway? He should pay attention and should have change his application on my face if he is not really sure but it looks like " he knows it all." So instead of enjoying my new face in a lighter tone. It turned out that my skin IS MORE hyperpigmented on the chin area and on my nasolabial fold which is disgusting. IT IS VERY OBVIOUS AND EVEN PEOPLE ARE LOOKING AT IT . That destroys my confidence. I even put some make up on it. Also when I am expressing that I am upset, yet he was nice in the beginning but... now he said that I was making feel guilty. ISNT that weird? ALL I NEED IS MY OLD FACE BACK. read more

My husband and I both had wonderful massages and a great experience at the spa, but when checking out the manager refused to accept our couples massage gift certificate. He wanted me to pay twice for the massages, which was insane. I had purchased a couples massage and dinner package just before Covid happened. I called the hotel/restaraunt and they said it was fine for me to use the dinner certificate separately. Then this year I booked the massages and explained I had a gift certificate. No problems until checking out. The manager, Dan, asked to see me at the hotel front desk. He was rude right from the start and treated and spoke to me terribly. He said, "you can't use this, it has to be used with the dinner at the same visit". I explained that I had called when we had the dinner and they said it was fine to use them separately. He would not listen to me and was defensive. Every time I tried to speak he cut me off and was rude. I have never experienced anything like it. He had no clue how to talk to someone and handled the situation terribly. I went from totally relaxed after the massage to having severe anxiety, which completely ruined the experience. I will never go back to Crowne Pointe or Shui Spa ever again and will never recommend anyone go there. read more

I had the best massage of my entire life with Peter (I get massages at least monthly). His hands are strong, yet gentle and experienced. I was in the outdoor room and while there was a bit of noise, I was so focused on how amazing my massage was that it didn't matter. The spa itself is a bit dated and the mineral soaking tub is right down the stairs from the entry and receptionist so it is not ideal. The sauna is tiny and the lockers need updating. I was not offered any cocktail or tea which would have been nice. Nevertheless, I will return for Peter. It was all about the massage for me. This spa is part of the Crown Pointe Resort. A class act all the way - excellent services, very cordial staff and way above average amenities. There is an indoor mineral soaking pool, sauna, steam room as well as outdoor jacuzzis that are piping hot (magical during the snow fall!). So, the bad news is that it is very, very pricey for little 'ole Ptown... but, I firmly believe that you get what you pay for in life. Didn't feel like we got the full experience. We got there 15 mins before our appt (as told) and we filled out the paperwork and waited for the previous appts to wrap up so we could lock our stuff in the lockers and change into robes. Well the people ahead of us took forever and so we didn't get to change to robes, had to go to out treatments in our clothes. The treatment was good, but not the best I have had. Also felt a little rushed. When we were done, we basically waited forever to get our stuff from our lockers, and then checked out. While everyone else around us is in robes and were offered the other amenities in the spa (mineral bath, sauna, etc.), we were not and completely felt out of place. I don't know if it the extra amenities were included in our treatments but it seemed odd everyone else was offered it, except us. Certainly would never go back, and certainly cannot recommend. read more

The Facility: 2 stars I only went here because I received a gift. I only saw the lobby, the locker room, and a massage room. It is badly in need of an upgrade and a coat of paint. One of their spa tubs shared a room with a toilet. It just seemed a little "tired". As an added bonus, at the end of my massage, when I was getting dressed, I noticed a painter outside the window who probably saw me naked. Great. I should've complained, but I know I'll probably never return because they're so overpriced. I recommend hunting down Barbara and hiring her privately. It was outrageously priced for being the exact same experience you would get at a regular nail salon, if not worse. Off season is prime! We went the last week of March on a Monday and no-one was there. Problem was there wasn't a manicurist on staff either. Good news, we had the mineral tub, steam room and sauna to ourselves. The earth and sea wrap a devine but slightly chilly while it was drying. The ocean elements facial created a smooth, even skin that was glowing. The shui massage with the added earth and sea scrub left my skin feeling fresh and smooth. The specialists were accommodating and professional. We felt very welcome and comfortable. We highly recommend although it may become very crowded during a busier time of year. read more

This place was just OK. The people were nice, but the facility itself is very small and consequently can become crowded and noisy. The massage rooms are right next to the waiting/ reception area, so conversations easily seep through the thin walls. My $109 massage was ok, but I've had much better for less money. The masseuse took several long pauses and did not concentrate on the one problem area I mentioned at the beginning. After my massage, I used the sauna, which was clean and well-maintained. However, the steam room was flooded with about a half inch of water on the floor, and each seat had puddles. I know steam is wet, but this seemed like too much. I counted a total of four cushioned lounge chairs next to the whirl pool, which were soaked from other people (who likely had just left the watery steam room). There is only one shower and one bathroom, so folks have to take turns. There are nice details, like cucumber slices for your eyes, and tea and water stations. However, these amenities were rendered useless with there being no dry place to sit. I hate to be a downer, but this place just isn't worth the money, IMHO. read more

The esthetican asked me if he could touch my feet and face and checked if the pressure was fine.I recommend getting a massage atleast for an hour. I liked the fact that the oil didnt smell of anything. They have a pool and hottub. You can also take a shower after the massage. I would go there again read more

I had a fabulous facial with Yvette at Shui Spa. She really took the time to customize the treatment that was right for me, and the best part -- she didn't push expensive salon products on me. She recommended that I use products I could find at any drugstore to maintain my skin! She also threw in an eyebrow wax for free because I needed one badly and she wanted me to feel fresh and clean when the treatment was over. My husband and I both had massages this summer at this Spa. One word- AMAZING! It was the best massage each one of us had ever had. I had a great guy named Joe. He was very considerate and asked several times about the pressure. It was strong (just right for me) and I felt so relaxed after. My husband also raved about his too so I wanted to write this review. Yes, a little pricey as some have mentioned, but you can use their amenities (such as a steam room) and enjoy a cocktail there too. I have been to cheaper places and honestly I would rather pay a little more and have a great experience since I don't get more than one massage a yr! We will be back next summer for sure! read more
