The spot they said fits a 62' 5th wheel.. well guess what.. they dont make them.. morons

Sorry, but this place sucks. I arrived late in the eve. They said my spot will fit my 42' 5th wheel, well the f'n trees said nope! And they have zero standards for people who permanently live there. The guy who parked 4 of his 8 cars to far out to not allow a good swing of the camper in. Some ass hat at 1 am starting building something, meaning no quiet hours, especially after 8 hours on the road. The next morning when i was assessing the damage from the tree, i watched a dude dump his grey water right on the ground, looking around, i see trash in peoples lots, mud (assuming from grey water ass-hats) I needed to get my truck looked at, so asked to stay till 430 pm or use a lot (they where not busy) and they was going to charge me a full day or a monthly rate!! Wtf?!?! You dont give a shit about people.. your place looks like an LA Homeless street.. take some pride

Especially the RN's who work Labor & Delivery) The campground was covered in snow (February) and so I cannot comment about the showers/restrooms/laundromat, etc. as these services are not available in the winter. However, this just means more available spaces to park or camp (they have sites for tents, Campers, big 5th wheels with slide-outs and huge motor coaches they have new 50amp sites for with easy pull in access! Sites are big enough and signage is good. The one thing I would suggest is during the summer, they need to somehow mark the driving pathways so they can easily be distinguished from campsites when snowfall covers the ground. We accidentally drove thru some tent sites getting to our reserved 30amp space in the very back of the campground. No harm done - but my sweet hubby who was driving in was getting quite grumpy how awkward it was to park - only to later realize that if we would have followed the roadway, it would've made a lot more sense and been so much easier! Once we parked, Water and Electric hook ups were quite easy, and each site had a picnic table with plenty of room for parking we even had room at our site for an extra car to park. We thought we would only be there a couple of nights, but due to complications with the birth we ended up having to stay more nights and even asked for a late checkout, and both needs were met by office staff with such kindness and understanding. By the way, definitely make some time to shop around the store. Besides supporting your local community businesses, they have some excellent products for a VERY tasty charcuterie board, light lunch and snacks to take back to your campsite or pack up to go on a hike! My last comment is about marking your GPS coordinates if you are on any site at the back (closest to the brick wall) where the new 50amp and 30amp sites are. Apple Maps, Google Maps & Waze will all mark correct GPS coordinates, however, when you switch to an address, it will tell you that you are on the next street over as if you are one of the apartments on the other side, of the brick wall. In fact, even the sites across from our not up against the brick wall, still show an address using the street name "Pico Del Monte Circle" on the other side of the brick wall where the apartments are located. This is pretty important if you are using your location finder to give somebody else directions to where you are or using apps like Instacart or DoorDash. I did use DoorDash while we were there and the driver had to call and I had to explain how to get into the campground.. this has nothing to do with Woody Mountain Campground and everything to do with the map situation. I did report it to Apple and Google. Hopefully it will get fixed but as of today, i see that has not been fixed. (may 2026)

Bathrooms are closed, have been for a couple years it seems. Lots of full-timers camped out there. Office crammed with Amazon boxes for the residents. The internal road is horribly pockmarked. Damn near dislocated all your cabinets just getting to your site. I was given a tandem back-end site and a lecture to "pull all the way forward so someone could get in behind me". No one actually showed up for that spot. Black Barts Steakhouse offers a fun experience in the park. Ok food. Servers get on stage and perform musical numbers. If it's not hot and I'm not worried about battery, will probably just stay in Cracker Barrel parking lot and save the $75 fee

Easy access from the freeway, convenient restaurant, good water pressure, reliable electric hookup, nice area to walk the dogs in the trees. On the not-so nice side, it's clear that the owners are not maintaining the sites. Huge pot holes, crumbling concrete pads, gravel roads are mostly dirt now. The restrooms and showers are permanently closed. Lots of permanent residents that are not maintaining their sites. Definitely an ok place to stop for the night to get a great meal, but wouldn't want to stay here longer, and I would feel uncomfortable bringing kids here.

Well, I guess all good things come to an end. We stayed here last year and had an amazing…read moreexperience. This year? Not so much. Apparently they now use an algorithm, which constantly reshuffles spots with each new reservation. The only way to be assured of keeping a spot is to pay an additional $30, which we were not told about when my husband called and booked our site. We now find ourselves NOT with our family (brother-in-law was relocated away from us a month after booking) on a site that is so tight, we can only sit on one side of our picnic table, since our slide out blocks the other side of our table's seating. The worst part is we have no trees and are so close to the road that we have to either bring our awnings in or constantly monitor the road, because if a rig goes by while our awnings are extended, they would rip our awnings right off. Just had to retract our awnings so a guy could get past. Just ridiculous. This should not even BE a site. But profits rule the world! Called the office and was told there is nothing they can do. We are stuck here. They refused to refund our money for even a portion of our 10 day stay, so we could just move on. They also would not disclose whether all the other empty sites around us had been "reserved" for the additional $30 fee. We were simply told moving to another site was not an option. The only bright spot is Chris, the campground host, who went above and beyond to get us moved after the weekend rush. But as any camper knows, we will have go through a lot of tearing down and setting up to go 100 feet. Sadly, this place has lost its charm for us. We will not be returning anytime soon! What a disappointing experience!
