First time here - I wouldn't recommend, the wait staff were rude and the food was terrible. Don't waste your money.

Went here for my sisters bachelorette party. We sat outside due to covid and definitely missed out (there was only one table outside besides us). We only saw 2 performers in the 2 hours we were there who were outside very briefly but I saw at least one other show thru the window that didn't come out to us. I get that it was hot but was kinda a bummer. Waiter was friendly and joked around with us but service was slow. Other than that the menu was kind of limited but food was decent. In a word--FUN! One star off for the very delayed service. (We had to ask the host to find him--he guessed exactly who we needed.) We visited on a Saturday night. The performer was visiting from Florida and was really fun and engaging! The food was tasty actually. We had the Cesar salad, Creole Shrimp, Kit Kat Calamari, and John Wayne. All Yum. The martinis are fun and well made (when they have all the ingredients). They ran out of a special vodka for my friends drink after she'd had one (around 8:30PM). ALL IN ALL--a lot of fun and something different! TIPS: When you arrive, a staff person will offer to bring change for tipping (so bring some cash). The staff is friendly and there are the widest variety of martinis to choose from. Their food is good and the shows are a lot of fun. This little neighborhood place is my go-to for a weekday happy hour or fun Sunday brunch with friends. Everyone who works there is so kind, doing their best even as they navigate the inevitable staff shortages that are the hallmark of the 2021 reopening. I especially love Madam X, who brings real magic every week to the brunches. On Mother's Day, she was so very gracious to my mother, just as she always is to all the guests. She changes things up and gives people different looks and performances, just as all of the fabulous entertainers do. The menu's got some good staples, and the drinks are so very good! UPDATE: the restaurant sent me an AMAZING response to my review (below) and it was really meaningful to me. I don't know when I'll be back, but I'd definitely think this is a place that's walking the walk in the ways that matter. --------------------------- I really debated writing a review on this, but I think it's worth calling out publicly. My brother and his husband made a brunch reservation at the Kit Kat Lounge this past Sunday so that my 3 year old (who loves dressing as Elsa) could have his first drag experience. The food was OK and the outdoor seating arrangements were lovely. However, I had to go indoors to use the restroom. Half way across the room, the show started. I tried to move quickly to get out of the way of the performer and as I walked by her, she shoved me HARD into a table. I was so taken aback and upset for the rest of the meal. I'm still upset. I have been a comedy performer for 20 years and dealt with a lot of weird audience shenanigans, but I have never - nor seen any of my colleagues - assault someone before. It is completely unacceptable. The performer's name is Madame X and I will be sure that we avoid her performances anywhere moving forward. I spoke privately with the owner and he was incredibly apologetic and compted my breakfast. Shocker! I went here for a bachelorette party! When I went on a Friday night around 10pm, it was all women in attendance throughout the Kit Kat Lounge. This is a place bachelorette parties, birthday parties and just groups of women in general come to let loose. With our package, we got a tray full of delicious desserts plus 2 drinks each. The dessert tray was comprised of cupcakes, pies & cake slices and rest assured we devoured it all. They have more martini options than I think I've ever seen in my life. A lot of them were really creative and cool. The Lady Gaga comes with a glowstick! It really doesn't get better than that for a bunch of drunken bachelorette party girls. There's also a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup martini with a little peanut butter cup in it. They know what girls like! The performers are divine! Seriously they get their groove on and are fabulous at involving the audience. Bring your dollah bills y'all and show your gratitude for the hardworking ladies! My only gripe was we were there for three performances (they happened on the hour for about 15 minutes) and it was the same lady for all 3 performances. I would have liked to see a bit more variety. Some kind of strange porn or something is playing on the walls throughout. All the servers were very nice and super quick, plus accommodating in letting us switch tables. I love martinis. I love drag shows. And yes, I love gay bars. Mostly because they are just so damn fun! I first found out about the Kit Kat Lounge and Supper Club from the North Halsted Neighborhood Association Winter Fest Soup Walk. Yeah, that's a lot of words. But the bottom line is that in the dead of winter, the North Halsted Neighborhood Association pulls together an awesome event where various restaurants make soups and have them available at other retail locations. Kit Kat had soup available at another business, and after that, I came to Kit Kat for the authentic experience. On first entrance, the staff at Kit Kat helped us find a seat and told us about their specials. But Kit Kat has a ton of martinis of so, so many different awesome flavors. All are great, and their special martinis are even better. Sure, for most of us that would be enough. But wait, there's more! The staff is so cool and helpful. Yeah, they are mostly very cute boys, but they know their shit behind the bar too, and will give you suggestions for drinks based on what you like. Then you have the drag shows. So awesome. Amazing talent in the form of singers and drag queens. What a great time. The food at the Kit Kat is also quite good. This is definitely a fun dining experience. You should visit at least once for the drag show, but it isn't a place that I, personally, need to revisit. The service was very slow. My friends and I had a 12pm reservation, but no one came over to greet us and take our drink orders until 12:20pm. The server didn't come back to get our food orders until well after 12:30pm. By the time we ordered our food, other parties that arrived at the same time as us were already eating. I tried the beignets and chicken and waffles. I also did bottomless mimosas. (It was a deal for the three items on the back of the menu.) The beignets were room temperature which took away from the taste. The chicken and waffles arrived very hot but lacked flavor. I had to drown them in hot sauce and syrup to make them edible. The mimosa were tasty and strong but it was hard to get a refill! My server was no where to be found. The server that worked on the other side of the restaurant kept visiting his tables to refill their mimosas. I tried to stop him to see if he could refill mine but he ignored me. When he walked past a second time, he glanced over at me and said he couldn't refill mine because he wasn't my server. This wouldn't have been a problem if I hadn't seen him refilling mimosas for another party that had the same server as me. The drag show was entertaining. If I came back, it would be to see another queen perform but not for the food, mimosas, or service. A few tips: There should be a server whose primary job is to refill mimosas when a table's actual server is busy doing something else. Two of my mimosas had a piece of foil floating in them from the champagne bottle. It seems like you all pop the cork/untwist the top before taking off the foil capsule. If that's the case, please start taking it off before you pour the champagne in the mimosas. read more

Loved the attention on my birthday. Take dollar bills for the entertainment because these girls rock it out. I am familiar with the "girls", but today they had a special artist from Australia, and she was elegant and sophisticated also. In the audience was also a very well known Broadway Star, but I can't remember her name exactly. I had an awesome time and just enjoyed a birthday that really made me smile. Although Kit Kat lounge is by reservation only, its a fun time to be had by all. I actually saw some co workers who I work with at the next table also, although their party was so much bigger, it still was fun. Food of course is small portions since this is more of a converation spot and can be a bit pricey, but yuou get a good amount and the drinks are just heaven. If you like Martini's, they have one of the biggest bibles of Martini's I have ever seen. You will not be thristy after this since the drinks are beyond amazing. Take of course extra cash because these girls do get tipped, and if you are one of the lucky ones, you may get all the attention needed when the tipping begins. A group of friends and I visited the Kit Kat Club to celebrate a birthday on a busy Saturday night. On the positive side the food and drinks were delicious (try the fried chicken and waffles) and the decor makes you feel like you are at a hip supper club. On the not so positive side, because seating is limited, you are only able to stay for two hours. It seems like enough time until you realize that there is only one performer. The performer comes out and does one song and then takes a break to change costumes before returning to perform another song. The entire time we were there we saw three songs and that included one performance while we were waiting for our table. Our reservation was for 7:30 but there was a delay in seating us so we didn't get seated until closer to 8:00. The staff tried to smooth things over by giving us a round of shots, which was nice. If you decide to give Kit Kat a try go when you don't have the pressure of being somewhere at a specific time. read more

All in all a great "occasion" stop. Bring your brides-to-be or birthday buddies for a great lip sync show. The entire experience is built around their all inclusive menu. $49 per person gives you three appetizers to share, your choice of three entrees and two sweet martinis. There's a lip-syncher that comes out about every 15 or 20 minutes. They do two songs and really ramped the crowd up. Their costumes are straight out of Hollywood. Their bodies are absolutely amazing. If you read 1 part of this, you must read all of it What a night this turned out to be. So I didn't Know that I was being taken too Boys Town in Chicago ... so I walk in To this restaurant/lounge (you could call it) and you could tell they have serious mold/mildew growing in the foundation or the walls. The air reaked of it. I'm certified in mold abatement from all the properties I've rehabbed here in Chicago and let me tell you, they have an issue on their hands. Possibly monumental. Not a big deal, it happens. Its Not unsanitary. Just needs to be addressed. Next up, the drag show. Great Whitney songs played. And I'll leave it at that. The main stage was Chuck behind the bar. He alone is the main performance of the night! He is unsurpassable with his creations. I've hired some of the best bartenders in the country for my 17 restaurants and let me tell you, his drinks are beyond 'up there'. He is funny, he listens well, and executes even better. That is an amazing reason for me to come back. They were that good! I ordered a $18 burger that was the biggest let down of the night. Ordered Medium and it came out as road kill, yet looked stunning when presented to me as "here is your Elvis burger cooked medium." I was very impressed on how it was delivered to me, very classy. And I like classy. Many cooks haven't been train on how to temp meats. But a thermometer works great. But here is the thing, it wasn't even a good size burger, so for that it was highly over priced. They must have a killer food cost on that menu item. Chuck removed it from my bill, yet still offered for me take it home. And that's exactly how I would have handled the situation when there is a legitimate issue on hand. He handled it perfectly. For that this entire review went up 1 star. Lets keep going, My millennial train wreck of a date that was glued to the phone had a Feta/Mediterranean vegetarian entree (el fresco salad as I'll call it bc it had no lettuce) was delicious on every aspect! Just stellar dish and so clean on the flavors. The next thing I need to point out, the servers need to use trays for delivering the cocktails. They look like Scared Manicans delivering the shots and martinis to the guests. Chucks' cocktails are top notch, the servers need to deliver them in the same manor or the sexy cocktail menu is thrown of kilter. Remember, it's all about the delivery & the guest. If it wasnt for Chuck and his Panache of handling the things they way he did, this would be a 2 star review. Easily.
