Ham and cheese croquettes had 2 dip options for those seeking spicy or a bit of zest. Martinis are STRONG. Every 20 minutes or so, an entertainer will come out and do a couple numbers. We were there September 15th and she was Ahma-Zing! She absolutely inhabited the Persona of each new costume and wig and you could not help but watch...and tip! On a Saturday you will likely see lots of bridal parties. They are Busy. Our server was either not on his game or slammed, but the manager Edward was on point and he jumped in to help. A friend chose this spot to celebrate her birthday. Location is great. Walking distance from Earth's Kitchen. Our performer for the night was Mokha and she was awesome. She changed a couple of times and just loved her energy. The food was great. I tried the Chicken and Waffles... it was amazing. The fried calamari and salmon was great as well. The cost was $34/person and I thought it was great as it included food as well. The were over priced though. Not sure if it was worth it. I'd go back again if there's a deal. read more

I came here again last weekend with a friend to meet up with a few of our friends I haven't seen in several years. It happened to coincide with the Cher birthday celebration, which worked out perfectly since one of my friends (who is one of my former high school teachers) is obsessed with Cher. Happy coincidence! Once again, the staff was great, the performer (again, Madame X, but this time as Cher) was ahhh-mazing, and the drinks were delish (this time I went with the snickerdoodle martini). One of my friends commented that he doesn't particularly enjoy the food all that much, but the drinks are always to die for and the entertainment is totally worth it. I probably don't need to come back here anytime soon, only because I would hate for the novelty of drag queens to wear off. It's much more suited to a special occasion anyway (birthdays, parties, reunion martini brunches with your high school teacher, etc.) I really do think in my former life I was a drag queen - I really wish I could be one. Stopped here after an evening of riding on the lake. I didnt known it was a performing bar until we sat down. I liked the atmosphere, the waitstaff were all very nice- masked, and drinks were decent. I was here with friends celebrating a rather bitter sweet event; my best friend's moving away party. This was our final hang out before she moved away and we let her pick anywhere she wanted to go. She picked KitKat! I had absolutely no idea what I was in for as I don't trek to Boys Town ever. However, I was pleasantly surprised with this experience! $38.95 per person including tip for the 2 course brunch. You receive a starter of biscuit with honey butter, one entree (pasta, panini, steak & eggs, chicken & waffles) with your choice of bottomless coffee, Bellinis, Martinis, Sangria, or Champagne. The portions were plentiful! The chicken & waffles were quite tasty and juicy and the syrup had a nice kick of spice to it. The show was unbelievable. Personally, the fact that it was a drag show didn't phase me much bc the talent from the performer was of Broadway quality and I just saw a performer putting on a spectacular show! The artist's voice was magnificent and there was absolutely no lip singing! The costumes elaborate and glamorous! My friend was going nuts and singing along to all the songs! Within the 2hr time frame we saw 3 songs: All That Jazz, a Latin song, & my favorite which was Vogue! To top it off they were raffling off free tickets to see RENT! How generous! The only complaint I have is, this place is extremely cramped. It was difficult moving in and out of the table without crushing the table next to you. Waiting in line for the bathroom was cramped too bc you're standing right next to people who are eating and servers are coming in and out of the kitchen. Lastly, There is only one isle for the performer to use as the stage. I highly recommend booking a month in advance for a good seat. Do not get seats near the back or by the restroom. If you're approaching your 2hr table time limit don't even think about hanging out around the bar bc there will be no room to stand or sit. As much as you will want to stay and see more songs, move on and let the next table have their seats. Overall a great time that made for a spectacular farewell! This place isn't worth $12 a drink. They have an extensive martini list but I don't believe they're using grey goose in them.. Way too overpriced. It is so so so fun but come lubricated beforehand. The food is not good. The drag queens are AMAZING. They're hilarious, not to mention gorgeous. Okay, I realize that perhaps my friends and I are not the demographic for the Kit Kat Lounge, so my review is based on the service and drinks alone. We came here on a Sunday evening after an afternoon of drinking and eating in and around Boystown. We got seated at a table for six across from the main bar. It took what seemed like forever for our server to come by with menus and then take our drink order. Yes, it was a busy Memorial Day weekend and we were not in any super rush, but it was about 10 minutes for the menu and then another 10 before our server came back. Our drinks took awhile to prepare as well (there were six of us). I got the Kit Kat martini--oh my god was it too sweet. I drank not half of it because of the sweetness. My partner got the cucumber martini and he said it was fine. My other friend got a mojito but it was horrible. The server tasted it and he said the bartender used way too much mix. The last time I checked one does not use mix to make a mojito... This is the place to come for one's bachelorette party. The drag queens and entertainment were okay. These ladies know how to put on a seriously high quality drag show! I purchased a Groupon dinner for two for my partner's birthday because he'd never been to a drag show before, and the performer made sure he wouldn't forget it! She was such a ham, posing for pictures and giving everyone lots of personal attention. I ate the salmon dinner with a cucumber cocktail and would get the exact same thing again - it was that delicious. I would recommend bringing your own singles to tip the performer, but if you don't, the bar will gladly make change for you. Vero disappointing experience all around. The servers felt like they didn't want to be there. The food took forever and wasn't even hot and in some cases wasn't really what was described on the menu. In terms of the show, there wasn't one. It was a single Queen who simply walked through the restaurant and collected tips. For a place that clears out and reseats completely you'd think a restroom check would be included in your process. Service was horrible and rude. Ive been to Kit Kat a few times, and each time I've had a mediocre experience. It's my friends favorite martini spot, so we come here occasionally. They have a large selection of martinis, and the happy hour prices are pretty decent. I probably wouldn't come for drinks if it wasn't happy hour. I do enjoy the beet and pecan salad, but again, I probably wouldn't get anything else off of the menu. The outdoor patio is lovely in the summer, but having to dine isn't enjoyable because the music is always way too loud. Their other menu items are pretty good as well, but the tacos overshadow all. For brunch, I enjoy the crab cake benedict. It's exactly what it sounds like. The food here was excellent and the drag show was incredible! The queen that happened to be performing sang naturally and not lip-sync which was very impressive. After the show she came around and introduced herself to each table and asked what they thought of the show. The only thing that should be mentioned is their reservation policy. Guests cannot arrive 15 minutes past their scheduled time, however that does not mean if you check in on time, you won't have to wait for 45 minutes. (We had a reservation for 2pm and weren't seated until quarter of 3). There is also a two hour limit for guests, so I wouldn't recommend it if you were trying to catch up with some friends for a bit. read more

Big as your fist, a menu as big as your muscled torso (or not), and strong enough to make 2 last you the night, from sweet to bitter to alerting. The crux of why my review or opinion is unconventional. Besides being cute, the food is dang good. We've ordered: Cary Grant (3x) Truffle infused, wagyu burger with applewood smoked bacon, gruyere cheese, French mustard, and a fried egg on a pretzel roll. The first time the truffle parmesan fries were lackluster, so after we subbed the wasabi mashed potatoes. This burger is hearty, juicy, and good! Delicious. The potatoes are satisfactory, the wasabi is barely detectable. Grace Kelly (2x) Seared ahi tuna on Cajun rice, with stir fry veggies in a romesco sauce. The portion is small. Both times the order had no veggies. The Cajun rice was almost risotto like, except with a heavy sauce. The tuna was superb. John Wayne (1x) Grilled chicken breast with bbq sauce, a carrot bacon slaw, and subbed wasabi mashed potatoes. Good, but, admittedly the burger and tuna are much better. The drinks are fantastic (they are amazing!). The food is terrific, especially with the Wednesday deal. We also like the classic movies playing on the walls. A great conversation piece ("Have you seen this movie?" or "Who is that?" ect). The service is phenomenal. The main draw for Kit Kat...the divas. They work it and do a dang good job. What a complete bummer. I recently brought my mother here for her 65th birthday and the entire night was a letdown compared to the reviews. We walked in with a reservation because it was highly recommended by the establishment, they sat us next to the door which was odd considering there were maybe 10 people dining in so I had them move us, we did order appetizers which were pretty tasty except the mac and cheese that lacked all flavor and salt. I was also expecting a full show from multiple Divas but there was only Traci Ross who lip-sang a song for 2 maybe 3 minutes and then left, did an outfit change, and came back out 30 minutes later. We were not entertained at all especially when the waiter asked us if we wanted $1 dollar bills and then charged my card for it to tip Ms. Traci. Our main course came out and again the chicken/waffle and greens lacked 0 flavors or salt. I mean my tab for 4 people was $400.00 and the entire night was a letdown. I even told our waiter it was my mother's birthday expecting some kind of happy birthday, a shoutout from Tracy Ross, and nothing. On the menu, it says they have a sundae as dessert and what we received was a nuked lava cake without any ice cream or anything else.
