    Iced Americano with cream
    Paul M.

New Brazilian coffee shop in the Southcenter mall. They offer smoothies, açaí bowls, Brazilian snacks, and coffee. I ordered the iced Americano with a little cream. Good coffee!!! Not bitter, just rich and smooth goodness. Inside is nice and I enjoyed the Brazilian music that was playing. Service was friendly and my order was prepared quickly. Price was also reasonable. Good spot for coffee and to visit with friends

Popped in for a coffee and light breakfast. Got the Brazilian latte with almond milk (espresso, milk, condensed milk) it is similar to a ca phe sua da but sweeter/less intense- not bad a touch sweet. Tried the little chicken cones and they were super good, like a bite size chicken pie but with more filling and less dough. I also got the Kitanda bread with guava spread- super yummy- savory and sweet, soft and pillowy but had nice texture. Tried the coconut bun and it tasted old/stale.

Mango Frappe and Kitanda bites - found this place while roaming around the South center mall. Never tried Kitanda bread before. Decided to try the bites. Made of tapioca flour and cheese. Loved it. Picked up a few breads later along with the Mango Frappe. Perfect for a summer afternoon. Loved the service and staffs there. Amazing. One cozy place to sit and enjoy the food while having nice conversations with friends. Will visit again!

I was visiting Washington from out of town for a friend's wedding, and really wanted an acai bowl (i'm highkey an acai bowl fanatic), and luckily we found this place in the mall nearby. And I was pretty hungry so I was pretty open to anything. Ambiance: This place was in the mall, so it was easy to find. It was surprisingly busy inside which is usually a good sign. But not much else to note. Service: The service was pretty standard, not very personal because the employees were just trying to get through the line. But I did ask for my receipt which they could not provide because they had an issue with their machine, so they asked me to come back in a few minutes to get it, which I did like 10 minutes later. Food/value: A very mid acai bowl, not even accounting for the price they charged for it. First off, you can't really customize or change things, plus there were very few ingredients in it. I know I might unfairly be comparing to BYO acai bowl places, but I'm used to having more ingredients and having the bowl full. But this bowl was much smaller than what I usually get and for what I paid ($13.10 after tax, though I think I added peanut butter). And the limited ingredients made for a poor experience. Overall, would not come back. Maybe other people have had better experiences, and I'm sure the lackluster acai bowl experience is because they might specialize in their other food/drink items. But nonetheless, I was pretty disappointed.

This spot has always been a bit odd to me. Brazilian coffee spot with, I suppose, Brazilian style sandwiches (very small), and a single shelf unit of Brazilian goods. The spouse got the sandwich with sausage and said that the sausage was cold in the middle. He did not finish it. I got the turkey and cheese and it was fine, smaller than expected, I appreciate the use of gluten-free bread; also appreciated the little treat they put on top of the coffee.

The açaí bowls here are everything! So creamy and not to sweet. Many combinations to choose from for the perfect açaí bowl or make your own or customize your bowl. The options are endless. No matter which açaí bowl you get, the toppings are always fresh. I mean always. You won't get over ripe or underripe fruit here. The coffee here is a game changer. It's such a high quality. It's medium-dark blend. Smooth and bold without being bitter. These beans from Brazil are the holy grail. And my oh my. The Kitanda bread (pao de queijo) had a nice crust but soft and chewy on the inside. Made from tapioca donuts gluten free too! Pairs so well with the coffee. I do like it plain but it's hard for me to turn down the dove de leite. Brazil's caramel. This location is always clean and the staff is always very friendly and nice.

My cousin brought me an acai bowl from here, and I don't eat these often, but I thought it was pretty good. I'm not sure which one I tried. She enjoyed hers, too. I didn't finish it though, since I was eating other food also. Been wanting to try some of their pastries.

Brazilian Cream Cheese on Kitanda Bread $3.79

Energy Blast $10.79: When I long for a delicious acai bowl like I've had in Hawaii, Kitanda fits the bill. It tastes pretty good despite missing the tropical surroundings. I found 10 oz to be a good size for sharing between 2 people. Brazilian Cream Cheese Kitanda Bread $3.79: I love cheese bread. Since I could get it frozen to bake at home plain, I wanted to try it with a topping while I was here. I thought this one was OK. The cream cheese didn't really leave an impression on me. It also wasn't served warm (makes sense as the cream cheese would probably melt). Next time I want to try the bacon egg and cheese sandwich on this bread. Ham and Cheese $3.79: This was ordered from the case. It's like a fancier hot pocket. I personally prefer hot pockets still (pepperoni specifically) but my boyfriend enjoyed this. ***** My Star Ratings: 1 Star - Terrible. Just thinking about it makes me angry. 2 Stars - Meh. Unlikely for me to return. 3 Stars - OK. Open to coming back, but wouldn't go out of my way to. 4 Stars - Yummy! Will definitely return if I haven't already. 5 Stars - AMAZING!!! Would plan my day or even a trip around eating here.

Ordered brew coffee and brownie. Brownie and coffee not bad,not wow but and not bad. But service is veryyyyyy slow, staff completely ignore us and guy who was before us. Then finally one worker see us,started take order but coffee is finished on us. Food 4,service 1 stars. Food recommend but you need waiting long.

I'm a big fan of the fresh açaí bowls and baked goods. High quality, fast, and powerful caffeine Brazilians are used to and love. There's ample seating in both the inside and outside of the store (in the mall). The frozen cheese bread you can bake at home, not a big fan as much. I may be spoiled since my step mother is from Brazil but it didn't taste like much. I feel like it's the kind of thing that works better fresh and doesn't work reheated as well.

When I went to check on my order I was met with a bunch of attitude pointing to a sign that they don't serve fast food and they only have two blenders. When I brought up one example of a person who ordered explicitly after me had been served before me, they said she had ordered before me (the customer let us go in front of her because she was still deciding when we came), waited 40 mins (when we had as well), and they fulfilled her order because she cancelled another part of her order... - If you only have two blenders, why are you blending other orders ahead of mine? A bunch of people ordered smoothies 30 mins after me and were all getting their orders shortly after purchasing. Very disappointed, especially as I had been 2 purchases away from filling up my rewards card with them and had not experienced treatment/wait time like this before. It also didn't help that today is my mom's birthday and we had to deal with this hassle.

I will definitely be coming here again! There are a lot of options for food which can be a little overwhelming. However, it is VERY reasonably priced. $15 for a toast is wild but that's how cafes price things everywhere. However, other cafes smear some avocado on toast and add a tomato and charge you $15, here they give you a whole meal with an egg on top, cucumbers and tomatoes, avocado, and more. It actually feels like it's worth your money. The coffee is good even though it's not too unique. I feel like they used to be a specialty coffee shop before they turned to the crepe/cafe scene. The coffee was very sweet though so I would highly recommend getting it half sweet. The crepe is good, stuffed well and worth the price. It is obviously sweet as well so it's hard to drink a very sweet coffee with a sweet crepe. The barista was kind and helpful with any questions I had when ordering. There was gentleman with a disability ordering before me and the barista was very patient and kind when taking his order. Since it was our first time there, we weren't familiar with the ordering process or menu. I didn't want to hold up the line trying to decide what to order, so I asked if we could sit down first and look over the menu. She cleaned off a table for us, but then told me I needed to hurry up and order because she didn't want other people getting upset about how long it would take me to decide. I didn't respond and simply waited until we were ready to order, which only took about four minutes. What confused and upset me was that shortly after, a white man came in and she told him he could sit down, take his time, and order whenever he was ready because "it's not busy." The difference in treatment was very noticeable and honestly made me uncomfortable as an African-American woman. Maybe this was a misunderstanding, but the interaction did not sit right with me. I believe every customer should be treated with the same patience and respect, especially first-time customers who are simply trying to understand how the restaurant works.
