I saw a few posters for this in Terminal D and the Filipino flavors were what got me! The perfect spot to grab a bite to eat before a flight, especially if you're in need of a coffee fix and the Starbucks line is insane. Unlike Starbucks, they actually have legit ube flavor (and other Filipino flavors like pandan and turon) for their drinks. I got an ube matcha (super delish, tho in the future I'd ask for less sweet) and a spam musubi (wrapped in plastic wrap, which makes it the perfect airport snack to eat without having to touch it with your hands). It's a little out of the way tucked near Gate 21, but I'd definitely take the short detour if you have the time for some yummy treats! read more

Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #109 I was not expecting much out of Neighborhood Bubble Tea and Cafe - Boba in an airport in the US? No way it could be any good! But on a recent trip to Nashville, we decided to trudge all the way over from the A-gates to give this place a try. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This shop is tucked away in the side arm of the D-gate area, making it much less crowded than the main walkway in the terminal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There are two ways to order - firstly via the kiosk (no line when we visited) and secondly in person (a line of 5 or 6 people). Black Milk Tea w/ Boba ($8) - I ordered via kiosk to save time and totally blanked on the fact that it doesn't allow ice or sugar level adjustments. Just as I went to pick up the drink about 5 minutes after my order, I thought about this fact and started worrying about the sugar levels. At 100% sweet, I typically find most other boba shops cloyingly sweet. This place, fortunately, uses cane sugar, so the sweetness is more mellow and not as grating. Even at full sweetness, while a little too much for my palette, isn't harsh or overwhelming. The drink comes with whole milk by default. Unlike other more premium shops that only add a splash of milk on top, this one seems to be more like 50/50 tea vs. milk. This adds a bunch of richness to the drink, but also increases the dairy flavor quite a bit, which combined with the sugar overpowers the tea a little. There's still some of the malty and somewhat fruity notes towards the end of the sip. They add a ton of ice. That's something I will definitely be asking for adjustment on in the future. The boba isn't bad at all. There are some issues with consistency in terms of size and due to that, texture. They are soaked in brown sugar syrup, giving a soft and velvety texture on the exterior. The smaller pearls are chewy throughout, while the larger pearls are a bit too firm and grainy towards the center. Milk Tea Rating: 4/5 Boba Rating: 3.5/5 I was really surprised by the quality of the drink I received. Honestly, before visiting, I thought this would be more of a 2 star kind of place! They also serve some really intriguing Filipino snacks that I'd love to come back to try out. read more

A Filipino café in Sea-Tac? Say no more! I had the Biko Pandan tea latte and it had a well balanced flavor profile, not too sweet. I could even taste the subtle black tea flavor which, at other tea places I've tried, is often overshadowed by the other overly sweet flavors. I wanted to get a second drink to-go but the morning rush had arrived and the line was too long by then. I also had the sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast sausage which was in a toasted pan de sal bun (slightly sweet). Again, no overpowering flavors here, everytime was very good. Ambiance is pretty typically of any café, service was friendly and they even have cute merch & snacks for sale (ube popcorn - yasss). I fly standby and things don't always work out the way I plan. I had planned on getting to SEA much later in the day, but unexpectedly arrived very early in the morning because I got on a different flight. Where was I going to kill a few hours outside of security? I was worried there would be nothing. In the baggage claim area / floor, there is a Starbucks, but no nice tables to sit at. So I went wandering around the departures floor and found this hidden gem. Apparently it used to be a Starbucks. It definitely has a Starbucks layout. But inatead of Starbucks drinks. This place serves Biko (Filipino coffee), Vietnamese iced coffee, Thai tea, matcha and other drinks I've never heard of. So neat! I'm so glad I found this place because even though I love Starbucks, I like supporting smaller, local coffee places too! The girls working the register were very nice and helpful in my drink selection. My Vietnamese iced coffee was strong and perfectly made. I suspect their other drinks are legit too, not made from like powders or pre made mixes, but like made to order. Which is great. I love this place. The breakfast sandwich had bacon that looked extremely undercooked. I could hardly chew through it and it was wobbly and jiggly. Had to throw it away because it was not safe-looking to eat. I was at the airport trying to pass the time with my mom (Standby life!) so we were basically walking through as much of the SeaTac airport as possible. We passed by this cafe and thought it looked pretty good! I ordered a black sesame latte, because I absolutely LOVE black sesame drinks and rarely see them on menus. i was a bit worried I'd be disappointed, but it was sooo good! My mom ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee, and her standards are much higher than mine. She surprisingly loved her drink so much she ordered another one to go! She also really enjoyed the type of coffee they used and asked the workers what beans they used haha. The workers were also super nice and accommodating with questions and our orders. At 4am in the airport, your coffee shop experience feels high stakes. The woman working this morning was delightful to interact with and prepared my drink with care. The matcha itself is clearly high quality and nice and strong, which... if you know, you know (this is very critical to a good matcha!). The drink overall was tasty and not too sweet. The drinks here are awful. This is the second time I've tried it at the airport and let me say, it's horrendous. The staff doesn't care, which honestly that's fine. Working in food is crap. It did end up being a little too sweet for my taste, so I would just recommend asking for less syrup. Not the best pandan latte that I've had but considering pandan lattes are rare to see on a menu I'd say it's worth trying the one here lol. Ube milk tastes like melted Magnolia ube ice cream haha. Not exceptionally ube flavored but still way better than an ube drink that is flavored with just ube extract. Pass on the bbq pork okazu pan. Neighborhood Bubble Tea & Coffee was such a wonderful addition to Seatac airport. I loved that they opened early (6am!!) so you can grab something from there to satisfy your morning wakeup rituals! I also particularly loved that they also offered some Asian flair to their menu items as well. For example, you can have ube or pandan as part of the drink flavors..and add things like boba or grass jelly as toppings for your drink. But, hey, if you like plain coffee, you can get that as well. In addition, they had some small selection of bakery (in this case though I got their musubi, which was a good size that satisfied me enough for the morning!). My flight actually was located completely different areas of the airport..but because I was so early at the airport..I purposely walked over to this area that they were in (Gate D20-28) to get their drink/snack! The place wasn't so busy (probably because it was somewhat hidden in a corner)..but you'll be pleasantly surprised like I did with their drink+asian-flaired snacks they offered. My partner and I stopped here during a long stopover to get some boba. It was a bit of a walk from the rest of the airport but it was definitely worth it. The line was short and I suspect most people don't know about this spot since the gates it's next to look pretty unused. I got the Milo milk tea with grass jelly and it was so delicious. It tasted like a chocolate shake and it was so satisfying. My partner got the pineapple mint lemonade with strawberry popping boba and it was tangy and sweet with a nice aftertaste. I saw this place last time I had to take a flight out of this weird terminal part, but didn't have time to get one. I did this time! It's located in the D21+ terminals (which if you're here, you're going to take a bus to the plane, fyi. I didn't know that last time), which is luckily not after D19, it's actually just across from D5. I ordered the Biko pandan with boba, total comes out to $9.80. the drink came out strongly layered (boba, sesame/tea, cream), personal opinion about whether or not it looks nice heh. Sadly despite using coconut milk, the drink is not dairy free because the pandan cream is milk based. I'd recommend opening the lid to mix the drink entirely. Without doing that, the drink tasted nothing of pandan (the cream is pretty light anyway), and the sesame tasted burnt. Together, the burned edge is taken off (although in my opinion still not much pandan, but more a creamy sesame flavor). There's still an odd sour note in my drink somewhere, and I'm wondering if the black tea they use has citrus notes or something- whatever it is, it's not a plus. Also disappointingly the boba was flavorless, so I wouldn't bother adding it. (The chew is dece though, so if you want to chew plastic go for it.) The women running the shop were friendly enough and patient, and my drink did come out quite quickly. (That said, I'm also the only one here, so that probably helps.) Overall, I probably wouldn't buy here again any time too soon, mostly due to the price and my personal distaste for the drink (and the fact that I want milkless milk teas), but if you're in the area, extremely desperate for boba, or standards for boba are less tea aligned and more fun drink inspired, or you want like, actual coffee/food, this place is a quick stop that's just hidden enough to not get too much traffic. read more

Look, it's awesome they have a boba place in the airport. I sometimes want a boba fix and obviously you can't bring one from the outside so you rely on places like this. BUT, first off, it's tucked far away right before you go down the stairs for Gates D21 and D26. So it's not close. Second, the drinks are SUPER sweet. I got the Thai green iced tea so I knew it would be sweet. And maybe that was my mistake because I don't love sweet drinks so maybe this is normal but it was nearly undrinkable. Also, the boba is overcooked so it has that smushy texture when something is basically collapsing in your mouth. Not great. She warned us the mocha was sweet but it's more like chocolate milk with some coffee. The coconut americano was the most bitter thing I've ever tried and the cream did not even help. We specifically came here because we saw on tiktok the Asian latte flavors. And they have a lot! Pandan, ube, black sesame, etc. we ended up getting the black sesame latte and the pandan latte. One thing to note is that the cream definitely does not have milk alternatives - which sucks for a lactose intolerant person like me. BUT you can adjust the amount of cream like I did. The black sesame came out layered and looked nice - the cream foam isn't very cheesy like it is in other boba shops - for example cheese foam that boba shops have - more of a whipped texture and cream flavor which is more subtle but complements the coffee flavor well! For the pandan latte- I couldn't taste the pandan as much - maybe because I asked for less cream and more alternative milk. I think next time I would ask for more pandan syrup for sure to get that flavor. Overall, vibes were peaceful. This place definitely has quality and their coffee is 10x better than Starbucks. Another positive (my opinion) is the location in the D annex.
