This new location is incredible! It's stunning, well organized, and everything a market should be. They have a small lot and plenty of surrounding street parking. It's in such a great spot and feels like such a great addition to the neighborhood. I love their meal kits, it's so fun to bring home a pack of ingredients and follow and easy recipe, makes me feel like a chef! I also love how curated everything is- they only carry the best of the best and a ton of it is local. The employees were kind and helpful too! I love coming here!

The market is now open and it's such a vibe. Meal kits, local goodies and staples galore! What an improvement to the neighborhood. My first (and not last) basket had some house made ciabatta, a curried coconut lentil soup, crostini, my fav wildwonder passionfruit drink and some barista oat milk. Prices were reasonable especially with the goods being so high quality. Next time I go in I'm getting that lavender grapefruit juice and pimento cheese dip with Mamas Lils -- still dreaming about them. Bonus points for the warm greeting and cool prizes on opening day -- you can tell the team works hard to keep the bar high.

Great addition to the neighborhood of good eats! Across/West of Cafe Flora. Above and beyond customer service (friendly, patient, knowledgeable). Lots of meal prep kits, prepared high quality sauces, soups, dips, marinated meats, in house bakery mixes, sauces, and so much more! I can see myself purchasing gifts for cooks in my life, and also grabbing a kit for the new mom or someone recovering from surgery or illness. I've been a fan of blue apron but hate the membership commitment, and the added prep. This establishment is gorgeous and the Nordstrom of grab and go! Everything looks enticing, clean, shiny, and great use space. We came here to pick up a kit for apple galette (which turned out absolutely mouth watering delicious), and left with lavender grapefruit juice (so good I've rationed it), their Vietnamese salad (crunch, fresh, flavorful, enough for two lunches), and their yummy hummus. I thought the price point is reasonable for their offerings. I would like to see more organic meats/produce, but I'd also expect an increase in price which might deter some folx. I'll be back soon! Welcome to the neighborhood!

One pot chicken and rice. Fabulous!!

Hey that is highly suspect if you're from South India then you know. They also had palak paneer, freshly made which would be served with rice. I thought the paneer samosa ($5) and the regular potato masala samosa ($3) were very good. Served with a smidgen of tamarind sauce. Lovely little tables set up outside to eat al fresco. The mediocre rating is because the selection of Indian groceries is sparse for the shelf space. The tea selection was low, and the snacks range was limited. On the other hand, the frozen chapatis were remarkably on-point with the right mix of naan/roti/chapati variations (including ajwain and methi rotis). If looking for standard Indian kitchen pantry, it's got all the bases covered. Yes, mango and lime pickles! The fresh vegetables section was neatly arranged and included curry leaves. It was a thoughtful curation, yet it left me wanting because it didn't have the full gamut of teas and options. They could easily cram more selection/stock/inventory in the space they have. It seemed like an upgraded corner store, and if I lived in this neighborhood I would LOVE to have this store with its Indian pantry staples in walking distance. It's a gift! I come all the way from Bainbridge Island to this store and I consider it awesome that I can get from the ferry to here on one bus and get my Indian staples!

Everything was delicious. We had bolognese, halibut, mushroom bruschetta, calamari, french dip, and mushroom risotto. I didn't get a photo of the bruschetta. It. Was. Crazy. Good. The bread was so yummy. My oldest son got the french dip and he was hoping it was on the same type of bread and was a tiny disappointed it wasn't. Mushroom risotto had a lovely variety of mushrooms and was very light for a risotto. My kids had bolognese and loved it. They stated it was very flavorful and loved the wide noodles. My husband had the halbut and the fish was a good portion size with the sides complimented it well. We will definitely be returning.

I ordered a soup and a sandwich, which isn't something I usually go for, but I really enjoyed it. I would love to come back and try their dinner menu, especially if it includes more protein options. I would definitely revisit!

The udon were really good but if you let them sit for a long time they get a bit soggy and lose their texture, mainly a concern if you eat really slow though. We arrived…read moreabout 5 minutes after they opened at 5:35pm and were among the very first customers in the place, ordered right away because I know it's a small place and it can take a while for orders to be completed with the small kitchen and staff. My friend and partner received their food and I got something I didn't order (tofu skin on rice balls) so my partner got up and asked the cashier about if this was included in the Tsukiji combination that I ordered and was told yes. We checked several other times about the order after two of my other friends who ordered after us also received their orders along with many other people in the restaurant also getting their food who arrived way after us, and the waiter said 10-15 minutes multiple times. Over 1.5 hours later I finally got my food after I asked to have it to go and if we could have one entree for free since I had been waiting since 5:35pm. The cashier said sorry and that they wouldn't charge for the correction. The rice balls that I didn't order and were given had undercooked grains and were not good. I was really disappointed and sad (and hungry!) because I came here for a special occasion because I have liked this place, and was among the first to order right when they opened and didn't get to enjoy food with my friends. It was frustrating that we checked multiple times and it took them so long to figure out they had made a mistake and then took so long to remedy the situation and they still charged us for food we didn't order. I give a star for the waiter who eventually did try to figure out what happened with the order and who seemed genuinely apologetic, and who gave us plates for my bday cake. Thank you! The cashier also said they would not charge us for my food, but we were charged for the wrong item and it had undercooked rice grains :( Atmosphere is cute and authentic. Food got 1 star because other people in my party got their food and seemed ok with it! Sad that I won't be going here anymore or recommending this place to others anymore based on this poor service and food experience. We had previously Introduced many of our friends to this place.

My sister and I dropped by spontaneously for weekend brunch (à Saturday korning around 9:30). There was a bit of a cluster of people waiting for tables, but they were larger groups and we were seated after about 10 minutes. We ordered cocktails while pursuing the menu. My sister enjoys their mimosas and I was curious about the "My name is Earl... Grey". Good choice - dangerously so. Smooth, flavorful, well balanced. Only a light perfume of Earl Grey. We shared our entrees: the harissa carrot hummus tartine and the roasted potato and scallion waffle. (Side note: we indicated our intention to the server, who thoughtfully brought extra plates so we could do that). The tartine was delicious. Just the right amount of spread on a thick slice of sourdough. It wasn't spicy at all; the sweetness of the carrots tempered the heat. A light sprinkle of romanesco and little cubes of feta finished it off. The waffle was a surprise. Crispy, savory, a whisper of sweetness, topped with a dollop of scallion butter. Unique and very flavorful. The homemade biscuit was large and easily shareable. The cappuccinos had a good, rich aroma. A double shot is the standard serving and had sufficient flavor and kick. There were so many interesting things in the menu, making it difficult to decide. I'll just have to come back.

Overall, I'd rate it 4 stars because, while the experience was good, the food didn't quite live up to the hype for me. I tried the Southern Platter with the rosemary biscuits, and I found it to be a bit dry and not as flavorful as I was expecting. On the other hand, the Vitamin C Kombucha was great. Our group ordered a variety of dishes, and the general consensus was that everything was decent but nothing really stood out. That said, I've heard so many positive reviews from friends that I'm willing to give Café Flora another chance and try some of their other menu items. One thing I really appreciated was that they accept reservations for larger groups. We were a party of six, and being able to reserve a table made the experience much smoother by helping us avoid a long wait.
