On the smaller side, but usually has everything you need. Always has a lot of plants!!! Seems very well stocked. And has plenty of workers to either help you find things or ring you up...almost maybe too many workers haha! But love that they're always so friendly and helpful. Not a huge fan of the parking, though, especially on a weekend or busy afternoon. It's a parking garage with very tight spaces

This is more like Baby Joes. Noticeably smaller and carries less items. Definitely convenient and obviously catering to students of the U-District. The same things you know and love about Trader Joes is here, friendly check person and their main products of canned goods and the Frozen section looks all there, but there is less alcohol and some of the fresh pastas I like I couldn't find. Maybe they were out? If that's the case, I'd assume they stock less of it. Outside the smaller size, the convenience of this Trader Joe's can't be beat. Very walkable from my place or just 4 stops by bus. Parking is available but wouldn't suggest it. Any given Trader Joes is crowded as is, this one is no exception so unless you luck out consider that before coming.

    Great wine selection

Love the staff at the Roosevelt store. The produce is fresh, the flowers are beautiful and it is busy. The only things I can complain about is the bathrooms and the parking garage but that is Seattle life. Love this store and the food samples! What a fun store!

Well!!! I have been here once or twice before pandemic. But several times now in pandemic. Something about grocery in pandemic! I usually don't know what to get here since I didn't know what the prices should be. But thanks to pandemic! And many grocery runs! Now I know the prices for most things like veggies, salads etc. And now I get why TJs are popular. Even their hand lotion is cheap compared to other spots! What!! I usually come here for snacks. Chocolates, mini biscottis, chocolate covered fruits ( almonds, raisins, blue berries). They are perfect sizes and at perfect prices. Most are $3.99-$4.99 each. Bags of salads are $1.99! It's great for a day use. Even if you use half, it's worth it. The greens mix with dill is my favorite. They also have fresh juices: albeit much smaller than the juice stores. And almost the same prices as pressed juice. I skip those and get them at pressed. They do have one coconut smoothie thing. It's delicious!! $2.99! Super cheap. Super small. And super perfect. I have also done panic buys here in March. Mainly those ready made meals. Most are $4.99-$7.99. Not a big fan of most to be honest. But I can see the appeal: convenient and cheaper than take out. The soup dumplings were pretty good. It's a pack of 6: steam and eat! The rest are a ok! They have their own parking lot, usually chaotic. Lines are long but moves fast. If you like something, stalk up! They tend to stop carrying the same thing over ( mostly production issues, or materials delay). I like coming here for snacks/ non meals items.

It has been years since I stopped by a Trader Joe's. I made a quick stop here and bought a lot of snacks to take back home as souvenirs. There were a lot of affordable snack options (eg peppermint pretzels and flavoured almonds). The cashier was super friendly too.

We love the variety, the novelty, and the delicious options that are found in Trader Joe's stores across the city, and especially enjoy the new things we discover through the samples available at every one of them. While the goods inside remains consistent, clean and ready for the shoppers, the parking lot is a hot mess, and the drivers entering/exiting the lot needing a review of their rules of licensing (unable to follow instructions/arrows, rude, aggressive, entitled and unapologetic). We love Trader Joe's but dislike coming to this location, specifically due to the low caliber of patronage.

You can get both local and Japanese-imported ingredients, but also popular spices, noodles, and ingredients from other Asian countries, as well - truly an international grocery store. They frequently support local businesses, which will be on display in the bakery and refrigerated sections. Their selection of food and fun goodies are always on rotation, so every visit is different. They even have gauchapon machines at one of the entrance. During the holidays, like Lunar New Year or New Year's holiday, they will feature food related to the cultures that celebrate the respective holidays. Once, they even had a photo feature for fans to meet the singing voice actor of Jinu (Andrew Choi) from Kpop Demon Hunters. Another time, they had Hello Kitty visit. There's a food hall with some delicious food, including their store-brand, Waji's. Uwajimaya is a huge boost to the local community - so glad we have it right next to the light rail for accessibility too.

My son and his best friend have been nagging me for YEARS to come here so my wife and i did…read moreyesterday. My single, nagging question is "What took me so long??" No idea. The store's far larger than I'd imagined and carries far more stuff. The produce dept. got me right away when I found GREEN lemongrass (almost impossible to find in my county), black garlic, large fresh ginger--and garlic scapes (they call it spring garlic). I was especially hoping to find garlic scapes since I just discovered them and have already found a great stir-fry recipe for them. A also bought some soy sauces along with an XO sauce that are hard to find in regular supermarkets. Yes, I already have stir-fry plans for all of them. There's far more food stuff I could've bought but the question that decided me against it was "Who else in the house will eat it other than me?" The meats pre-sliced for Korean/Japanese dishes tempted me but were pricey. Besides I own a meat slicer. The one thing I didn't find which was my sole disappoint was Shaoxing wine, a Chinese rice win. They carried the cooking version but not the drinking one. Contrast that with shelves filled with Japanese sakes. I prefer Shaoxing for stir-fry dishes and already have some at home so the disappoint wasn't too great. We rarely get to Seattle so it'll be a while until we re-visit the store. The good news is that a new Uwajimaya will open in Tacoma next year. We plan to shop there a lot more often. Definitely a store worth visiting even if you don't cook Asian dishes. they carry all kinds of cooking stuff--including woks, rice makers, and lots of gadgets. Our son's friend even bought travel chopsticks. I told him he'll be required to whip those out at our next Chinese stir-fry dinner. He better like black garlic and garlic scapes.

Trader Joes on Madison is a 10/10 every single time…read more Im fully aware that Im a bit obsessed with Trader Joes, but this location never really misses. It's always stocked, super easy to navigate, and the staff are always ridiculously helpful and friendly. Thats the secret sauce. Even with they're busy, the employees never change their attitude. Always super kind, approachable, and make you feel welcome instead of like a burden. *Cough Qfc, Cough* There are two places that just do not know how to disappoint. Trader Joes and Costco. They got the formula locked in folks. The BEST products, CHEAP prices, GREAT energy, and people who just seem to CARE. 5 Stars, every time.

Shopping in Seattle, Washington…read more.. The Trader Joe's canvas bags are so useful, strong, and reasonably priced! The original bag has navy blue colored straps. The new version has hunter green straps. I was hoping that this Capitol Hill location would have it... I didn't see a parking lot. I circled the block about three times and decided to park on the street around the corner. A clerk inside the store said they have a parking garage - enter from 17th ... UHG! I'll look next time. Since we don't have Trader Joe's in Hawaii, I like to bring snacks home, but I focused this time on those canvas bags and even got some mini canvas bags and the olive green insulated totes! I also looked at the greeting cards, fresh flowers, and new items. Thanks for the convenient restroom and friendly employees! We were able to find Joey, the mascot, and received stickers and lollipops as our reward! This was a fun shopping experience!
