HOLLY MOLLY! I cant even begin to explain how blown away I was. Right as you come in the waitresses/waiters are very welcoming. The atmosphere is very light and lively. A little small, but has an open concept bar so you can watch the chef cook. We ordered the... Foie gras oysters: Let me tell you, I LOVE oysters and foie gras but I've never had an oyster like this. The oyster was fresh and it was accompanied by a big piece of foie gras! The juice from the foie gras mixed with the oyster juice was simply devine! I could have eaten a dozen! Chaudre de paloudre(I think it was special of the day Great flavour and a good amount of seafood at the bottom. I was shocked at the end, when I saw it was only 11$. Great size and it packed a whole lot of flavour. Pan seared foie gras with ginger bread and fruit jam: The foie gras was cooked perfectly, the ginger bread crunchy yet not too sweet with the fruit jam sauce. They played not1 piece of foie gras but 2 good size pieces. Garlic Lobster gnocchis: It's a good size lobster tail for the plate. The gnocchis are soft with a creamy garlic sauce, cherry tomatoes and spinach. Cote the boeuf with the foie gras:(HALF size) It's a good thing the waiter informed us we could do the half size because the full would be way too much with what we ordered. Even then the half size was a very hefty portion (in a good way). The meat was cooked perfectly pink with 4 pieces of foie gras on top and some truffles. It also came with some veggies and mashed potatoes on the bottom. The taste was exquisite. The meat was full of flavour, tender and juicy. It paired really with with the foie gras and the potatoes. Didn't have dessert bc we had no room let! Haha I highly, highly, highly recommend this restaurant if you're a foie gras lover! From start to finish the service was on point, friendly and fun. They joked around with us, which got relayed to the chefs in the open kitchen. And even they participated in the joke. 100% great atmosphere! Going back real soon!

I have no words to describe this place. I was taken here by a friend of one of the owners tonight. We never ordered a thing but were served one stunning dish after another. I haven't got a clue what some of this amazing food was, but every bite was an explosion of goodness from beginning to end. I've come to Montreal for decades and I've got to say, this place is going into my bookmarks. I travel more than 100k a year all over NA and some Europe. This place conquered a spot in my top 5 in one visit!!!

I came here on a Wednesday night with my boyfriend and two cousins. The restaurant was packed. We came for the MTL a table menu ($31). I had the bloody Caesar which was just a regular boring Caesar. I wouldn't recommend it. My boyfriend and cousins had the beef tataki starter with sour cream, basil, spicy honey and marinated vegetables. It was not that great. The crunchy stuff on it surprisingly made it worse. I personally didn't like the combined taste of the carrots with the beef tataki. I had the foie gras starter which was an additional $7.I enjoyed this dish but I am obsessed with anything foie gras. It came with bread and caramelized onions. As a main, my boyfriend had the homemade gnocchi with confit garlic cream, spinach, and mozzarella Di Buffala. It was very rich and very flavourful. That was my favorite main of the night. My cousin and I both had the salmon tartare with caviar, candied lemon, and arugula salad. The tartare was good and a bit creamy. My other cousin had the braised pork shoulder from with brussels sprouts and bacon, and homemade mashed potatoes. I liked that they separated the leaves of the brussel sprouts. The portions of the gnocchi and the pork shoulder were huge!! My cousin had trouble finishing the pork. The pork was good and my cousin fully enjoyed it. I felt like it really needed to be eaten wit the sauce and the sides because I had a piece of the pork on its own and I felt it was a bit dry. My cousin and I had the chocolate crémeux with white chocolate mousse and roasted almonds. I enjoyed this dessert and thought it was the better one out of the two. My boyfriend and my other cousin had the organic apple pie and caramel mousse and they felt that was the better one of the two. To each their own. Went to Kitchen Galerie because my cousins went for the MTL en lumiere menu which consisted of seafood and foie gras and they absolutely loved it!! I felt the MTL a table was just ok. The portions were good though. I think I would give this restaurant another chance and I would go back for the MTL en lumiere menu if they have it again.

I really enjoyed the food in that restaurant. The atmosphere is casual and fun. The fact that you're served by the chefs is cool and you can tell they love and care about food. The seared foie gras was perfectly prepared (which is definitely not that common). The fish I had was very good. Overall I really liked the place. Also the price was much better than what the 4 $ signs suggest. I recommend it.

Kitchen Galerie is absolutely amazing!!! I was a little bit weary coming here after looking at the previous reviews and boy am I happy I decided to come here. The atmosphere is very chill good music and staff is super nice. The food was incredible! I know they are known for the ribeye steak but I decided to go with the braised pork shoulder and my husband went with the braised short rib. I couldn't get enough, both were so delicious! To start I went with the tartare and the oysters again just delicious!!! To end the night we had the creme brûlée although it was very good the sugar brûlée was a bit to thick for me but still delicious. Oh and I can't forget about the drinks their specialty shooters were a little dangerous because you won't stop at one. I have nothing bad to say about this place service was great food was great and will definitely be coming back next time I'm in Montreal!

Sweet garlic, had nothing I could say I feel the garlic in at all. Flavorless. Five pepercorn with cognac non existent ! The only time i taste the peppercorn was if I BIT the actual peppercorn. The dessert ? I ate 2 bites and left the entire thing. The "crust" was nowhere to be found it was watered down carton... and the lime layer felt like I was biting into fake jelly. Plus it didn't have capers which imo overwhelms tartares. Duck with carrot: as a Chinese person I've had my share of duck but this might be the best duck I've ever had in my life. For my appetizer, I had the black pudding croquettes with a pear sauce that was simply divine, and for the main, the bison flank steak was cooked beautifully--tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. BEST "BYOB" FRENCH BISTRO DURING RECENT TRIP…read more This is the best dining experience in our recent Montreal trip. I'm glad we made reservation since the place was quite packed when we arrived. To be honest, our first impression wasn't too great. We were seated in their main indoor dining area which was a bit too warm. We asked if we can be moved to their fully covered / heated patio area, but unfortunately the restaurant was full. Fast forward 15 minutes, we have placed our order and were enjoying our bottle of wine and a basket of bread. Our server came over and offered to move us to the patio area since a table had opened up. We were pleasantly surprised because (1) we didn't ask again and (2) most restaurants wouldn't change tables once customers started eating/drinking. The restaurant setting is unpretentious with a casual and cozy vibes. The staff are so friendly that we feel like having a family dinner! They offer a pre-fixe menu in which we thoroughly enjoyed! For appetizers, the escargot dish gave us a pleasant surprise. They wrapped the escargots and blue cheese sauce in a thin crispy crust! It's hard to describe, but it's sort of like having an escargot "crepe"! The few main courses we chose were excellent, and the rack of lamb was probably our favorite - tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked. As for dessert, their creme brulee was one of the best I've had - creamy custard topped with a perfect, crisp caramel top. I'd highly recommend this place, and will certainly visit again when I'm in town next time!

Cheese & Charcuterie board is as what you imagined. It can't go wrong. Rack of Lamb was good. I do recommend highly. It comes with our 4-5 bones worth of protein with potatoes & veggies. Lost track of how many bones because it was eaten so fast. Duck confit was average. Let me explain, duck was average but the amount of spinach I gotten and how potatoes on the plate was good. Sides out shine the protein here. Side of Foie Gras was perfect because I was worried about having too much food. It did come on a small plate because it's a side dish and it was fatty and salty. Intermission was the best cocktail of the night. Fruity with a star anise on top so you smell it while drinking it because it was so close to your nose. Jazz District was okay.
