Bethany and I haven't ever done a remodel before and it was very overwhelming at first trying to make so many decisions, but Amber made it easy and simplified things significantly. She and Kat have an eye for what looks good and are up on the current trends. The design process was very smooth and straightforward. Valdek did a great job on the install and has been back a few times to tweak things and to follow up on some minor warranty issues with the cabinets. They handled all of the dealing with the manufacturer. Our countertops are great. No more tile counters! All in all, a kitchen remodel is a difficult process that takes weeks of not having a proper kitchen, but we're thrilled with how our kitchen looks and feels now.

The principal team at Original Roots - Paul, Matt, and Brynn - were fantastic to work with. They were extremely experienced, trustworthy, thorough, patient, and were exactly what I was hoping for in a contractor relationship. That can also be said for their carpenters and other sub-contractors. They are all just good people. The project took about a year from our initial consultation to final completion. The actual construction phase was about 4-1/2 months and everything went as scheduled. Matt is a mastermind at getting all of the work scheduled, including permits and inspections; and Brynn kept everything on track with getting products ordered on time. During the initial consultation, Paul explained the process and provided a long list of past projects as references. I spoke with 4 of the prior clients and everyone was extremely pleased with Original Roots. From a cost perspective, there is full transparency from start to finish and no scope increase unless requested - or necessary due to items that could not be foreseen until all of the old walls were down. I did have some initial sticker shock over the contract price, but after getting several other bids for the project, I realized that Original Roots was in alignment with local costs for the same type of full-service renovation. This company showed great pride of workmanship and took care of my space during the project. It felt like moving into a new house when the project was finished. They stand behind their work and do not finalize the close-out payment until everything is perfect. I highly recommend Original Roots and can't wait to do another project. They were just great to work with and left me with the most beautiful kitchen in all the land.

They responded to my request and came out with in 24 hourz to take measurements. We were quoted double by other companies and DCD was a wonderful surprise. We have beautiful quartz countertops and new sinks now. From quote to install was a week. They were professional and cleaned up as well. My only complaint would be the office staff can be a bit slow to respond, I fept like I needed to reach out often. But the install team was exceptional. I would used them again and again

The process of working with Joni was such a pleasure from the very start, she came into our home and really listened to what we wanted, she scheduled for us to visit 2 client's homes that had recently had their floors done, it is so helpful to see the different finishes that are available. Communication throughout the process was also great, we knew exactly what to expect from the start. We also want to thank Paul; he did the actual refinishing job. He was so easy to work with and helped us choose the right color of stain for our floors, he was very patient with our indecisiveness :-) At the end of each workday the equipment was stored neatly, and things were left tidy. Do have an issue with the refinishing of our wooden vents. Sort of just pushed the oil finish down the wooden slats so not an even finish. Said there was no way to sand the louvres. I noticed but there was not much to do about it. Contract was for the tops. Also got a final invoice before a final walkthrough was scheduled. The railings both still needed to be buffed and re-oiled before they were smooth to the touch. Also needed some touch up on several areas of the floor. I think better communication/education would have been beneficial and always schedule a final walk through before final invoice!
