It's a mall. What else is there to say? It is no different than any other mall in that there are lots of stores that appeal to many different people, and there are always swarms of pre-teens and teenagers running around acting like everyone else is in their way. For that reason alone, I try to avoid shopping here during peak hours. The mall is making efforts to house more high-quality or high-end shops (like Gene Juarez), but overall this mall doesn't even hold a candle to other, larger malls like Westlake Center or Tacoma Mall where the stores are larger and have more selection. read more

I don't know why people don't like this mall. It is nice and clean and the stores are reasonably priced and everyone I met that works there is friendly. I decided to take my 8 month old here for a picture with Santa right before Thanksgiving because I was really worried that he would suddenly develop stranger anxiety. Santa was great. They had such a good time that I bought the little zip drive with pictures on it because he had such a good time! Everyone ooed and aaahed over him and he loved every second of it. I was jogging with my baby in the stroller around the mall before business hours which was AWESOME, since it is 20 degrees out and way too cold to be jogging with a baby outdoors at the park. UNTIL TODAY when they (the Management??), told me it is AGAINST THE RULES. So I left. I've been jogging here the last three days for an hour in the morning without any issues...Yes, there are senior citizens walking the mall while I jog, but I am very courteous and careful not to crowd anybody's space. Did they really think I was going to run somebody over? Honestly...there is enough room for both of us (mother's with jogging strollers AND older people). Some of the old people were actually pretty nice; nice enough to smile and wave at my baby. SUCKS because now I am stuck on the treadmill for the rest of winter... read more

Store clerks from Bath & Bodyworks are extremely not friendly. I've been visited different brunches and none of them were like this one. They (I assume new faces) don't greet even when they clearly saw me nor try to help me or anything. Not even saying good bye when I leave the shop after shopping. I asked some question to one of them but she was keep touching her hair and not helpful. I don't remember their names but a tall Asian lady and a lady with short blond hair. They need to be trained how to treat customers. I'll never go back to this store again. Extremely unhappy. read more

Poor choice for Easter pictures this year the company and the bunny were much better last year. Paid extra for the digital download and only got one photo last year I got all the photos. The bunny was wearing white gloves that creeped my child out because they were clearly hands. Could see the women's face in the mouth of the bunny head and lumps from her breasts that made the vest look messy. Contacted the company and did not get a response. Santa situation was awful for us last year so I will find somewhere else to do holiday photos. read more

I've been coming to this mall since I was a toddler and let me tell you that it's changed A LOT. Back when I was younger growing up, there was so much to do and so many places to shop. I remember the days when this place had an arcade people can go in and play video games all day if they wanted to and when we had our own Disney store to shop for all our family magic goods. But now unfortunately, things are changing for the worse with many stores moving out and new stores coming in that don't carry the same charm as the old ones. Thankfully there are a few gems I still look forward to going to every time I visit: Barnes & Noble, Anime World, Avalon Comics, and PretzelMaker. Though I would definitely say that this place has gone downhill fast in these past couple of years and I pray to God that one day we might go back to the glory days of old. read more

To all the negative reviews, I have one suggestion, go to Seattle, and remember this is Kitsap NOT Seattle. It took years to convenience the original developer real estate division of Safeco Insurance to even build the mall, Weather people realize it or not Kitsap County, except for Bremerton and Port Orchard a few navy bases, is just a bunch of TREES!! Don't believe me look at a Satellite map on Google. Then if you live here you will appreciate the largest Mall in Kitsap County, along with the largest airport the Bremerton International Airport. This mall is about what I'd expect to find in Kitsap County. The mall has a lot of the major chain stores you'd expect to find. It is, of course, not like what you'd find in Seattle, but then again that's not the area its in. They have a play land for the kids. They have been doing some renovations to "freshen up" their look lately. The food court is a bit disappointing, but nothing too awful. There is ample parking and some decent stores. Overall, it's a good option if you're in the area, but you may end up having to travel to Tacoma or Seattle to find some more specialty items. read more

As others have said, this mall is small!. It is in dire need of a second floor or a tear down and rebuild. It's almost 30 years old and it shows. The management team running the mall has not helped its cause. Bringing in tatoo & body piercing shops, heating & AC stores, and other poor choices have led to the demise of this venue. Stores selling velvet posters, and dream catchers should be relegated to the farmers market and not taking up valuable retail space. Oh, I'm sorry, the flea market is held inside the mall. Good thinking there! Suggest reaching out to Williams Sonoma, Sephora, White House Black Market, Bose, Brookstone, The Cheese Cake Factory, etc. These are things needed in Kitsap County. If you need to lower the rent to get them in do it! It will pay bigger dividends in the long run. Of course none of this is usefull if locals don't use their mall and go to Seattle or Tacoma as others have reccommended. Voice your opinion but support your community. read more

The creation of the Kitsap Mall killed Bremerton's downtown shopping core when all the big department stores jumped ship to Silverdale. Now the mall is seen as lame and dated, but really, where else are you going to go to pick out new appliances for your home, or get an Easter outfit for your kid, or spend a rainy afternoon? For all of these necessary life happenings, Kitsap Mall is just fine. Special shout out to the playground area. It is the perfect degree of difficulty and safety for a young toddler-preschooler, and a saving grace during cold, rainy Washington winters. read more

After leaving Kitsap County for Pierce County over the last decade we thought we loved the variety so much that we would never look back. When our family expanded and my mother-in-law would take our kids to the Kitsap Mall, they would always comment about how safe they felt. We moved back to Bremerton last year from Tacoma. Everything is a lot more chill to my liking, from Costco, Target or the Kitsap Mall, everything is cleaner and safer feeling. Yes, it is disturbing that shops are closing but I trust new shops will open. This region is positioned for discovery, investment & growth. Just live in Tacoma for a season and you'll appreciate the trees, hills and water all around, as well as the lower crime levels! read more

Please, please, please move the kids play area to an inside store area. Was shopping at Kay's jewelry and the screaming and shrieking of children and their parents was unbearable. Don't get me wrong, kids are fantastic creatures and it's nice the mall wants to accommodate them, but not in an open area where the noise carries in all direction. Itty bitty. Those are two words that describe this mall. I was visiting from San Diego, so I was a little shocked at the size and quality of stores in the Kitsap Mall. The lay out is kind of odd. There were ZERO interesting stores to go into. I think the only saving grace to this mall is the Macy's. But, since there aren't really any other places to "hang out" in this area, you're kind of stuck defaulting to this mall. Oh wells. Plus, Silver City is next door ;) read more

Anchor tenants include JCPenney, Macy's, Sears, Dick's sporting goods (opening Summer 2016), and Kohl's. The mall is managed and owned by Starwood Capital Group. History[edit] After many years of planning, Kitsap Mall opened in August 1985. As a result the retail core of Kitsap County was shifted from Bremerton, Washington to the Silverdale area. The mall's original anchors were Lamonts, Sears, and The Bon Marche. Later in the decade, and after much success, Kitsap Mall nearly doubled in size, adding Mervyns in 1988 and JCPenney in the 90's, while The Bon Marche was expanded to the east, nearly doubling its size. Wow, actually met the manager of the mall and he's a real douche. It's no wonder there's so much empty retail space here. Everything here is so pricy too. To think this is what makes Silverdale the economic center of the Kitsap Peninsula. Nobody even comes over here from the Seattle side of the Puget Sound. We had a terrible experience at the Kohl's in Silverde. We went in to purchase a bed in a bag we found online. The item we wanted was not on the shelf so we asked an employee and they pointed us to guest relations, guest relations pointed us to the kiosk machine to search for the item and locate it to see what store had the item. The kiosk was a pain to operate so we asked a Kohl's worker to help us they said they couldnt help and the pointed us back to the guest service counter. At that point we had enough... We left the store empty handed. I'm pretty sure I'm done with kohl's for good!! read more

To many big stores and they got rid of all the small food places, it's not a mall any more it's pretty much a strip mall. The point of as mall is to have 100's of stores with 100's of varieties of things to look at, not 10 big stores we have all seen read more

The stores here are okay. Nothing thrilling..they recently opened a H&M..it's nothing spectacular..I'm surprised at how many shops are vacant. The little kids play place area is very old and needs to be redone.. They used to have a slide but about 2 years ago they got rid of it due to a hole in it. Initially they said it was being fixed but they never brought it back. It's very disappointing. :( read more

SEATTLE TEAM STORE REVIEW: Kitsap Mall is in one of it's growing pains right now but some nice upgrades and stores coming soon. Seattle Team Shop is what I am reviewing. This is my 3rd time in in several months and each time I always feel as if my business makes no difference at all. Staff are always in conversation with each other. When I asked for help on one visit for a specific size cap I was told they did not come in that size as it was not a popular size. And yet 30 seconds later the manager walked in and helped me telling me that size cap was very common. Many do not know the expensively priced product either. And my biggest disappointment is that in this HUGE military community the military discount has been removed. It wasn't much but just enough to say as a business we appreciate your service. They have lost a customer in me. read more

seems like another store is closed down every time i visit. i've only lived here a year and already 5 stores including stuff in the food court that i frequently visited are closed down. at least they have a barnes and noble i guess. but you can just go in there without ever realizing it is in fact attached to the mall. ffs at least open other stores in place of the ones you close down. makes this place look eerie and abandoned. read more

Been here for a little over a year and have seen SO many stores close down in that mall. Just about every month something is closing and something is trying to be built. Frustrating when you want to go to the mall and shop but they can't keep stores open. Even the food court struggles with keeping business. I would Rather drive down to Tacoma for their mall when I want to shop. I feel bad for the youth here because they don't have much to do in that mall. read more

When I visited back in 2013 the mall always smelled so good, the food their was great in the mall. Nice to go out And eat with my boyfriend, had so many stores beautiful secernery outside, expect waiting on the bus was so hot outside, its also a very nice beautiful walk to if you don't mind walking, .I wouldn't mind going here again. read more

Quiet and small mall but nice to get away from the rat race.

This is a very small mall. So if you're looking for an outfit and are limited on time then this would be convenient for you. They have your basic stores. (Victoria Secret, Hot Topic, American Eagle, JCPenny Etc) Most of the stores here tend to shut down after a while. So if you are looking for a store in particular... I would recommend looking on their website to see if the store is actually still standing. They use to have a Forever 21 but they closed this past month I believe. Which sucks because that store was the busiest of them all. The mall has been under construction for some time now. (but remains open) Props to them for trying to make improvements. They use to have a food court with a decent amount of choices but now that is all completely gone and they are building actual restaurants. I believe there are three restaurants currently. I have no idea what they plan to do with this mall but I'm hopeful to see the outcome in the next year or two. read more

I understand that most visitors wouldn't say this is the best mall around in Washington state, but since I live a 5-10 minute drive away, I've become very familiar with it, after going here at least once a couple weeks if I need clothes or something else from their other stores. Some of the more popular stores include a good-sized Barnes & Noble, a Kohl's, Sears, jcpenny, Macy's, Bath & Body Works, Claire's, Fuego, GameStop, Gymboree, Hallmark, Hollister, Hot Topic, Journeys, Radioshack, Sweet Factory, Victoria's Secret, Zumiez, and even an Anime World. There are some jewelry stores too, like Ben Bridge and Kay. If you're looking for souvenirs or to show off Washington state spirit, there is a Seattle Team Shop- but if you're looking for other sports teams, there's a Just Sports.. There are shoes store and stores with trinkets, antiques, and collectibles. I personally find it a great selection and everyone will find a store that appeals to them. It's got your typical Mall play place and kiosks in the middle of the walkways, and a little Corner Shop where you can buy stuff from vending machines and sit down for a break. The prices obviously depend on the stores, but they're generally pretty cheap with sales and clearances. There's a decent sized food court with a Subway, sbarro, Orange Julius, and some other food places, too. All in all, it's a pretty enjoyable place if you're driving by or live around. It may be smaller than some malls, but it's got a great selection of stores. I don't quite understand why it has one and two star reviews, but hey, everyone has opinions. read more

This community is so lucky to even have a mall! I understand that the mall has a new manager. She is making a lot of positive changes there. I was at the mall during the holidays. Wow! It looks so much better. And I see where they are under some type of redevelopment! Gene Juarez Salon, Hale's Alehouse and rue21 just opened. Some of the other reviewers are commenting that there are no quality stores in this mall. What does that mean? The same stores that are at Kitsap Mall are at other malls. Where do they shop? Another country perhaps! I moved here from the East Coast. Same stores here as in the malls back East! Try out Kitsap Mall. read more
