Location is perfect, far enough off the freeway that I hope they don't get picked over by the crazy gorge groups from concerts, but perfectly nestled on the main strip in Kittitas. Indoor and outdoor (temperature controlled and covered) seating. Super clean inside with perfect music for breakfast and lunch vibes. Service is super friendly, staff seems genuinely happy to be on their team. Also quick getting our food and espressos. The food is phenomenal, I got the winter goddess special - think ciabatta bread, fresh hot and flavorful turkey with crispy lettuce and garlic aioli. Looooved this place! Got lucky finding this gem on our drive home from vacation. Super cute cafe - I knew it was special the minute I spotted the disco ball hanging above the counter. Service was absolutely amazing. (Smiles all around.) Food was quick and delicious! Best of all, the coffee! I ordered a caramel latte, made with homemade caramel, it was sooo good! Little hidden gem in Kittitas. I like the counter service instead of sit-down. Staff was nice and friendly. Coffee was excellent. Great hash, crispy hash browns, eggs cooked to order. I have heard such good things about this cafe and finally tried it for the first time. The ambiance of the cafe was very nice! However, by the time I went mid morning almost all pastries had sold out. Service was quick, and they were able to make my coffee order that wasn't on the menu (Washington Americano). Sadly, the monte cristo (or cafe cristo) I ordered was terrible. The hash browns were just ok, crispy on the outside but almost mushy on the inside. The sandwich itself was dry and bland. They did not give you jam to spread yourself like a traditional monte cristo, instead they pre spread it for you. Additionally, the french toast was not even sweet, had no flavor, and lacked any moisture. read more

Tucked away in Kittitas is this cute gem with good drinks and amazing food. The menu for food is surprisingly big! All the food items I got were very delicious and perfectly made! They have something for everyone there for sure. Not too sure but i do believe some of their food like their biscuits for the benny were all homemade! For drinks, they have a pretty decent sized menu. Ranging from coffee, matcha, tea and energy/lotus drinks. Something they offer is a drink flight with 4 different options. The iced drink flights is such a fun idea! as someone who is very indecisive, i loved that i got to try 4 drinks and get an idea of what i like. The orange chai is amazing! There are a lot of options for seating too. There's indoor, temp controlled patio, and outdoor seating with tables and umbrellas. Service was really good as well. Stopped here because of many positive reviews. The cafe was clean, and had several tables. Prices seemed a bit high so I opted for the grab and go $4 burrito and large coffee because I didn't really have the time to wait. Coffee was good, hot, and way better than a gas station. The burrito left much to be desired. After it was microwaved, the result was hard in places and soggy in others. The paper stuck to the tortilla. Not sure what was inside, seemed like eggs, veggies, and not much cheese. The staff were friendly and polite. I will try again when I have more time, but definitely not the burrito. read more

We've been back to the Kittitas cafe a couple of times, generally on weekends when we're feeling like being a little fancy! Most recently, we came up here for lunch on an unexpected day, off from school, and were again delighted with what we found! The place is open for breakfast and lunch, and the situated right along the main street of Kittitas. It's truly a quaint spot in a quaint little town. Breakfast seems to be there forte, but we found they make a pretty lunch as well. I don't know if it remains like this, but I remember when they opened that one of the owners had been at Baker previously. It showed in the delicious biscuits that were available. For lunch, we enjoyed some delicious soup, a lovely, Reuben sandwich, a burger, and a Caprese sandwich. All of them were spectacular! The ladies and gentlemen, who work here are all very friendly, and make the place very inviting.the decor feels upscale, but not stuffy, and it's a bit eclectic. Most of all, however, it's fun! We continue to see a growing number of great small restaurants in smaller towns, flanking, bigger areas. This is a trend that we certainly hope to continue to see, these places are often absolute gyms, both of the community and for the area at large. such a cute cafe on the way back from the gorge. the outdoor patio was lovely in this september weather and the workers were efficient but friendly. there was a line out the door on sunday at 10:30 AM and it took us about 30 mins to order food. we had a larger group (7 ppl), but the food came out pretty promptly and we were able to find a table in the back patio. overall, will 100% stop by again next time in the area. the group's notes on the food: - avocado toast: 2/5. the least worth it. balsamic glaze was mid and the avocado flavor did not come through. cheapest item on the menu though - breakfast burritos: 4/5. warm, good flavor and the salsa added a tiny bit of heat. - pastrami hash: 5/5. really solid, warm and filling. 4.5 on its own but hot sauce bumps it up to a 5 - breakfast burger: 4.5/5. super filling. egg was perfectly runny and cooked. so messy but delightful especially w the gravy as a sauce. group's notes on the coffee: - coffee flight: 2.5/5. was bit too sweet for our overall taste, particularly the matcha and chai. matcha may be made out of powder because it coated the tongue. honey bear was the best (I would give that a 4.5/5) - koala comb latte: 3.5/5 sweet (the barista did warn me) but fun combo of flavors and you could still tell the espresso was good read more

Amazing hidden gem of a cafe. Stopped here on our way back to Seattle from the Gorge and was thoroughly impressed. Service was quick and friendly and the food was delicious. Nobody left a crumb behind. I opted for an iced oat milk latte, the biscuits and gravy with the BEST crispy hash browns, and a single pancake on the side (always need a hint of sweet with my breakfast IYKYK). No complaints on anything. The outdoor patio was also perfect for a beautiful sunny summer morning. Can't wait to stop back any time I'm in the area. read more

I've been here a half dozen times when I'm passing through on I-90 and I keep coming back because they have so many gluten- free options. The tomato bisque is delicious and today I had the Acosta Veggie Sammy with onion jam, apples, sautéed mushrooms, gouda, and more. It was bursting with flavor. The only bummer is this sandwich is a special so it's not available every day. When you first enter the cafe, it looks small but there is a side patio which is fully enclosed and heated so there is room for many people. We will definitely be back! read more

The Kittitas Cafe is superior to every other coffee joint in the area. It's not even close. 1. The cafe automatically includes two shots for every sized drink. Their espresso is smooth, strong, and delicious. 2. They have several homemade syrup options which are all incredible. Some syrup changes seasonally which keeps options fun! 3. The food is great. It is not your typical diner cafe food with tons of grease. Servings are fairly portioned, yummy, and there are several healthy options. 4. Prices are the most reasonable in town. 5. All cafe staff are friendly and work their tails off. This is such a great community gathering space. My only complaint is that they are not open longer in the afternoons. Worst breakfast! Was so excited to try this place- only to be meant with complete disappointment! The biscuit was not edible, the eggs were dry and very overcooked, the veggies were mush - I ended up throwing the whole thing away. What a complete waste of money!!!! So incredibly disappointed and mad and the Money I spent on this take out bfast for me and my friend. Business owner reached out and refunded breakfast and is addressing my concerns with the kitchen. Outside dining area had a combination of shaded seating and unshaded seating. Went back a second time and arrived at 11:00 a.m. It took so long to order that we missed the 11:30 "hard" cut off for breakfast. After standing in line for 30 minutes intending to eat breakfast it was pretty irritating to be told at literally 11:30:30 that we could only order lunch. As a result, half our party left and went to another restaurant. I get the need for the cut off, but if you're in the door you should be able to order! I would return for breakfast for sure. Lunch was disappointing. Dry bread and chicken salad sandwich was very light on chicken salad. I don't understand why a really good breakfast restaurant would cut off breakfast to serve lunch for a couple hours. Just do what you do well - breakfast! read more

This little cafe is definitely worth the stop...just a few minutes (easy on and off) off of I-90. This is the kind of place I wish we had in our hometown, but for now whenever I am in the area, this will be my first stop for excellent coffee, breakfast and lunch! The prices are reasonable, the food is fresh, and the service is friendly and efficient. There were so many options on the menu that I had a hard time deciding. I can't wait to work myself through the menu. They make their biscuits from scratch and they have homemade pastries in addition to their full breakfast and lunch menu. They sell out often though. It is the happening place, so expect a line but they are quick and efficient so the line moves fast. They have indoor and outdoor seating and the outdoor seating is so adorable. In shade or sun. They have a lawn area for kids to run free if you want to enjoy a meal while the kids play. There is a stage so I am guessing they have live music sometimes too. The inside area is little but it is clean and inviting. The coffee was outstanding. I am a coffee snob and this is some of the best. They even have a coffee flight to try! I love this place and will be back and will recommend to everyone. Only one thing....the comb in the jar on the table......yuck. I know it is supposed to be things found on a beach but the comb on the table while I was eating grossed me out. Maybe I am weird but combs and brushes dont belong anywhere near food. I visited a few weeks ago, and one of the women working was very rude. I had asked if it was too late for the bill to be split in a different way, and instead of telling me nicely that it wasn't possible, she proceeded to make a strange face at me, scoff, and talk to me in a frustrated tone after I asked a simple question. As someone who also works in the hospitality industry, it left a bad taste in my mouth, and the way she talked to me made me feel stupid. Stopped here on our way back from the Gorge. Its a super cute newer cafe with both indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered the mushroom pesto croissant, which the heated up for us, the Aussie breakfast, the bacon egg cheese biscuit sandwich, and a coffee flight. I don't normally like breakfast sausages but the one's that came with the Aussie breakfast were SO good! Also, highly recommend the coffee flight. They have some really unique flavors. I especially liked the golden marshmallow and the orange creamsicle. The homemade biscuit sandwich was great as well but I think it would be even better if they added some sort of chipotle Mayo and arugula. Overall great spot! read more

What a find! Picking up grapes from eastern Washington and found this little gem on the way home. Friendly faces met us we entered. The latte and cappuccino were beautiful and delicious.
