The absolute best quiche I've ever had in a cage. The quiche filling was flavorful with green onions and dill that stood out so fresh, it was remarkable from the first bite. The latte , on the other hand, was underwhelming, but the stuffed croissant was also very good. It was very busy on a Thursday morning so it seems to be the place to go in Ellensburg - and I can see why. It's a really cozy delicious spot for coffee and breakfast and there's lots of seating too. Can only speak to the coffee itself because we came too late in the day to catch any pastries, but it was pretty dang good! Feels like they have all the normal coffee shop essentials, almost still has a drive thru coffee vibe but it makes it feel more casual so that works in a way lol. Could see this being a good spot to hang out and study as a student or just meet with a new friend. High ceilings and big front windows give it a nice and open feel, but it goes far in so still gets dark in some areas enough to feel more cozy. read more

Note that this D&M Coffee location IS OPEN for TAKEOUT & DINE-IN/ DINE OUTSIDE! My family and I took a short day trip to Ellensburg. I really needed a midday coffee pick-me-up and so I naturally went to Yelp and searched for nearby coffee shops. This place had the highest rating and was only a block away and so I decided to give it a try- and I'm so glad I did! This D&M location has both indoor and outdoor seating and earned an award for one of the best cafes in Kittatas county in 2017. The interior is nice and cozy. D&M serves coffee, tea, Italian sodas, Red Bull drinks, beer, and a limited selection of food. They also have a signature latte menu of their fun latte creations such as "Lucky Charm" and "Cinnamon Roll" that reminds me of Dutch Bros. My mom ordered a 16-oz hot Samoa Mocha (half sweet) and I ordered a 16-oz iced salted honey latte (a spring special that was listed on a poster behind the barista). Normally I'd also get my latte half sweet, but the barista said that the latte wasn't that sweet and that the only added ingredients were honey and salt and so I got it full sweetness. Our total came out to about $12 because apparently it was also Happy Hour at D&M. I think it's $1 off drinks during HH, but I'm not sure what time HH starts or ends as it's not advertised anywhere in the store. The Samoa mocha tasted exactly like a Samoa with bold notes of chocolate, caramel, and coconut. I'm glad we got half sweet because it was definitely on the sweeter side! The salted honey latte was super smooth and tasted like dessert in a cup- in a good way of course! It was the perfect balance of sweet and salty. Neither drink had the slightest taste of bitterness unlike Starbucks. Service was excellent. The barista was friendly, patient, and informative! They had our drinks ready within 5-10 minutes and also offered dog treats on the back counter. All employees were wearing masks. Overall: 5/5 for drinks, 5/5 for service read more

Amazing ham panini and delicious Almond Joy latte. Kind and patient cashier. Plenty of seating but all dirty with crumbs and beverage puddles- a bit at odds with the fun vibe. Floor also needed sweeping, just a bit of a turn off on a slow Tuesday morning place that serves food. If I could give zero stars I would. I asked three times for the Breve's to be served extra hot, and the barista which had a total nastola attitude served them luke warm at best. The barista reheated the drinks which of course should not be done and pushed them towards me with again the worst attitude. I tipped when I ordered the drinks but these posers shouldn't receive any tips. The place is filthy and location is awesome. Get it together y'all. read more

The baristas don't use names for orders like Starbucks or any other coffee place, so orders are confusing to pick up. We heard our drink and went to pick it up, assuming they got part of it wrong. After a different customer came asking for the same drink, we realized it was the wrong one and put it down (hadn't drank from it). Honest mistake due to a bad system. When our actual drinks were out, the barista rudely questioned with attitude if that was actually my drink and made a really nasty face (or maybe that was just her face). She didn't do this just once but twice, and asked me if I was sure. The drinks were also mid at best, really just bad. Don't waste money here, plenty other good coffee places nearby like Brewsters. I don't normally write bad reviews unless having experienced a really unpleasant experience, so let me save you the trouble. I would appreciate a public response from the business owners as other reviews have received, because there seems to be a *correlation between people of color and bad treatment here*. After taking a look at all the negative reviews about the barista's attitudes, I would also like to know what this business will do (if anything) to change this. read more

Came here for the first time and ordered an Oregon Chai. The Chai was delicious and the cashier was very polite. The barista though came across as a bit uninterested, as it seemed like any questions from the cashier annoyed him. We stop by the Stilley for a little coffee shop on our way out of Ellensburg one day. The experience left us with plans to stop by the next time we're in town! The shop looks to be either in old retail store or an old diner of some sort. Located rightdowntown, this is absolutely the sort of place that I would've frequented in college for both the coffee and the free internet! It's the quintessential college spot with good caffeinated options, plenty of study space that is eclectic but comfortable, and a couple of nice bakery options as well. It looks like they have a special or two available each day - we had the spicy chocolate cupcake, it was very nice! All in all, this is a really solid coffee shop that has a really fun atmosphere, creates a nice study/relaxing Space and serves up some good coffee. Just stopped by on our drive back to Seattle. We ordered an Americano, cappuccino and their signature latte. The first two were bitter and the last one was sugar, milk etc. - could barely taste the coffee. Belatedly, I looked at the beans in the grinder - I have never seen such dark roasted beans. Why do they even bother to roast their own beans I don't know. Anyway, if you care about the taste of your coffee even a bit, go somewhere else. read more

Coffee places that make a decent cup at a reasonable price and have easy access from the street (and easy access back into traffic) pretty much get four stars from me. It's an easy test to pass, and a tough one to fail, so they really need to screw up to go lower. I will admit that I never order fancy drinks, so I don't rate much on the barista arts. I rate on Americanos with clean flavor, and this place delivers. The barista was the usual adorably bubbly kid. She pulled a good couple of shots and sounded so excited about the road trip I was on that I almost asked if there was a kidnapper kneeling under the window ledge, and she was trying to escape through sheer force of super-excited small talk. But I knew better, and gave her a buck. A few minutes later, I was half as caffeinated as she had been, and all was right with the world. read more

This is probably my most favorite spot of the town. As soon as enters the house, I loved its interior - very simple solution in spacious high ceiling loft style coffee house. The chairs could have been old church aisle sits, and the tables could have been used in classroom as they have pocket on the side, but they just match perfectly. Needless to say, its coffee tastes great. If I lived in Ellensburg, D & M Coffee would definitely be my not just morning but whole day of escape room. read more

Went for a morning walk and got lost trying to find the Starbucks and asked some lady having a garage sale for directions. She said - "You should really try D&M they have great coffee" I said no thanks but when I passed it on my way to Starbucks I decided to give it a try. Cute local coffee house with super friendly staff. Ordered a grande whole milk latte and it was 3.85 (same price as Starbucks). It was smooth and tasted fine. Iced coffee was watered down, not sure if that's a routine thing but I was definitely not stoked to see my cup filled up with ice and then topped off with water.
