    Quiche
    Jesica V.

The absolute best quiche I've ever had in a cage. The quiche filling was flavorful with green onions and dill that stood out so fresh, it was remarkable from the first bite. The latte , on the other hand, was underwhelming, but the stuffed croissant was also very good. It was very busy on a Thursday morning so it seems to be the place to go in Ellensburg - and I can see why. It's a really cozy delicious spot for coffee and breakfast and there's lots of seating too. The ambiance was friendly and the jazz music playing made the whole experience complete.

YUM YUM YUM! Their coffee is definitely worth the drive from the freeway. They do have a drive through closer to the freeway. I prefer taking in the downtown vibe.

Can only speak to the coffee itself because we came too late in the day to catch any pastries, but it was pretty dang good! Feels like they have all the normal coffee shop essentials, almost still has a drive thru coffee vibe but it makes it feel more casual so that works in a way lol. Could see this being a good spot to hang out and study as a student or just meet with a new friend. High ceilings and big front windows give it a nice and open feel, but it goes far in so still gets dark in some areas enough to feel more cozy.

Note that this D&M Coffee location IS OPEN for TAKEOUT & DINE-IN/ DINE OUTSIDE! My family and I took a short day trip to Ellensburg. I really needed a midday coffee pick-me-up and so I naturally went to Yelp and searched for nearby coffee shops. This place had the highest rating and was only a block away and so I decided to give it a try- and I'm so glad I did! This D&M location has both indoor and outdoor seating and earned an award for one of the best cafes in Kittatas county in 2017. The interior is nice and cozy. D&M serves coffee, tea, Italian sodas, Red Bull drinks, beer, and a limited selection of food. They also have a signature latte menu of their fun latte creations such as "Lucky Charm" and "Cinnamon Roll" that reminds me of Dutch Bros. My mom ordered a 16-oz hot Samoa Mocha (half sweet) and I ordered a 16-oz iced salted honey latte (a spring special that was listed on a poster behind the barista). Normally I'd also get my latte half sweet, but the barista said that the latte wasn't that sweet and that the only added ingredients were honey and salt and so I got it full sweetness. Our total came out to about $12 because apparently it was also Happy Hour at D&M. I think it's $1 off drinks during HH, but I'm not sure what time HH starts or ends as it's not advertised anywhere in the store. The Samoa mocha tasted exactly like a Samoa with bold notes of chocolate, caramel, and coconut. I'm glad we got half sweet because it was definitely on the sweeter side! The salted honey latte was super smooth and tasted like dessert in a cup- in a good way of course! It was the perfect balance of sweet and salty. Neither drink had the slightest taste of bitterness unlike Starbucks. Service was excellent. The barista was friendly, patient, and informative! They had our drinks ready within 5-10 minutes and also offered dog treats on the back counter. All employees were wearing masks. Overall: 5/5 for drinks, 5/5 for service

Greeted with a friendly smile by the batista. Cool decor and lots of seating. Got a small black coffee for 2.79. The coffee was tasty. Sat outside and enjoyed the coming and goings of downtown Ellensburg. Highly recommend!

The wait was pretty long and by the time we got to the pastry case, the pickins were slim but the coffee is very good. The coffee is not bitter or weak...it's actually just right. They offer lots of signature concoctions that sound great but probably very sweet. I like that they offer plant based milks. I was tempted to back for a second cup, but the farmers market was calling...

Good coffee. Safe! Had an oat milk latte with cinnamon. Cute part of town to saunter while enjoying your coffee. Also near the post office Thanks D and M for being safe and serving yummy drinks Ps you can get stars for your order and eventually earns. Free drink

If I could give zero stars I would. I asked three times for the Breve's to be served extra hot, and the barista which had a total nastola attitude served them luke warm at best. The barista reheated the drinks which of course should not be done and pushed them towards me with again the worst attitude. I tipped when I ordered the drinks but these posers shouldn't receive any tips. The place is filthy and location is awesome. Get it together y'all.

The doors in look like they would be ones that you pull open, however they are push doors. Avoid looking like the kid from the far side cartoon! Upon entering, it's definitely a combination of yard sale furniture, a very nice lacquered table with "Ellensburg Bulldogs" written on it, some old-school gas pumps and lots of windows to let in plenty of natural light. Eccentrically eclectic describes this place well! Lots of different caffeinated options exist here, though I must say they make a mean redeye - drip coffee with a shot of espresso. Interestingly, it's becoming the exception rather than the norm when I find such a drinks that doesn't have an acidic bitter bite at the end of it. Call this has a really nice low intensity bitter coffee flavor that remains really smooth throughout. Definitely something that I will be ordering again. Lots of sweet drinks are available and they have a number of food options including some muffins and a couple salads. I decided to sit and read for a bit. The place was a bit louder than I had expected, you're not the sort of adult conversation bar, but rather the machines they had really loud it after a while made it kind of annoying to try to study anything. In addition, the seating options included some old-school metal folding chairs that look like they belong in (or are part of) a 50s patio set. There was also seating on benches under the windows. These two are covered with, what appeared to be, cushions purchased either from an old church or at another yard sale. After sitting for about 20 minutes I decided that these were great for pictures, but less great for actual sitting. All in all, cool spot, good coffee, free Wi-Fi and less than plush surroundings. This is the sort of spot it's great to grab something to go or to come hang out for a short period of time, but not the sort of place that makes it super easy to come study for hours on end. Ultimately, that may be what they're going for and if so, they've done a nice job.

Adding to the continued expansion of awesomeness, Yakima now has its own nano roasters!…read more A lovely couple started roasting beans out of their house about 6 months ago and had such a following that they decided to open up a little shop from which to sell said roasty beans! Located off Tieton next to a salon, a gym and a taqueria, it's a perfect place to grab your fix and go. This isn't a coffee shop, but rather a roaster, so you're only buying beans. The place is only open a couple times per week for folks to pick up orders (or buy more) and also for the roasting to be done. A quick tour revealed some really cool stuff they've done! Currently they're offering 4 different types of beans that they've sourced from all over the world. They're working to make sure the beans are fairly sourced from farmers in different regions so they have a variety and maintain the integrity of the product. It's pretty rad at its core! Non-pretentious, solid coffee, that benefits the people buying and selling it. The store is small, but with lots of character. The roaster they use is American made with American materials and is 100% awesome! Said roaster is the centerpiece and the art on the walls is from local artists. They've decided to not take a commission to everything that's sold benefits the ladies who've produced that pictures. Good stuff! At present, the bags retail for $15 each and they've got beans from Ethiopia, Sumatra and Mexico. Not the least expensive coffee you'll find, but truthfully not bad. It's less expensive than most of the stuff you'll find at any national chain, but this is actually benefiting the area A welcome addition to town and run by some great folks! Even if you don't like coffee, you definitely know someone who does, and as such it's worth your time to get them a bag of beans from here!

Finally we have an amazing coffee roaster in Yakima!!!…read more I went to Basalt Roasters on a Monday and it was tiny but BEAUTIFUL inside. The owner showed me the various kinds of coffee beans they carry. She was very friendly and eager to help me. They only had Latin American single origin coffee beans at that moment. I bought the Guatemalan and Mexican coffee. I tried them both and I fell in love the Mexican single origin coffee. The Mexican coffee smells so intoxicating and it tastes amazing. Unlike most coffee beans, they did not smell or taste burnt. They were bright and rich. The only downside of this place is that they're only open on Mondays and on certain hours during the day. If you're a coffee snob or just love coffee in general- I would totally recommend this place.
