Stumbled upon this place accidentally because we meant to walk in the door for a nearby restaurant. At first we thought it was a private extension of the restaurant we intended to go into. What s newt little hidden experience. Speaking of experience, it reminds me of a speakeasy. Inside this small restaurant/pub, they offer darts, pool, tables and bar experience. They offer a small variety of food choices. I opted for the House Salad with grilled chicken and went with the house-made Creamy Italian dressing. It has a nice kick to it but is's very good! I will say the amount of chicken on the salad is limited; likely around 3oz. The flavors are there but just not enough to justify a $17 salad. $15 would be my ideal area. Let me start by saying this is one of the better pizza places in the area right of the rip. I had the pepperoni pizza and it was great. We had lunch on a Monday at noon two days before Christmas. We were the first in there and by the time we left it had started to fill-in slightly. The ambiance is that of a bar really, which is fine. Some pool tables and TVs scattered around. Went to Kittles on a Saturday afternoon. Originally we were headed to Menches, but thought we'd try something new. It's small, but has decent seating along with a pool table/dart board area. This seams to be a seat yourself establishment. We waited a good 15 minutes before we were greeted at the table and handed menus. Another 15 minutes before drink orders. Service is very slow. The bartender let us know she was the owners mom and only seemed to be her and her daughter working. At the time, it was only us (3 people) and another table of 2. We ordered appetizers. Wait time was about 25 minutes before. Appetizer platter was $15 for 6 corn nuggets, 6 Mac and cheese bites, and a bunch of cauliflower bites. Not fried long enough and likely oil was not hot enough as they were lukewarm and soggy (too much oil). Draft beers were $9 each. They did have a good selection, but overpriced. Dinner (came out about 10 minutes after apps- so not bad). Stromboli with 2 toppings $18. Dough was thin and not a lot of filling. It was "ok". Meatball sub: giant meatballs. Friend said it tasted weird. Like old cheese. Also. Watch your bill. They added a few additional cocktails to ours that we didn't have. Owner was quick to correct. Overall- wait time and quality seem to be the biggest issue. They have potential, but should bring in someone to run the front of the house and someone else that can deliver on the food. Went here on a Saturday afternoon. The pub was empty and the service was slow. My beer was bad and I sent it back, I was told by who I assume was the owner to "order a sample to try next time because it comes out of our pocket"... I have NEVER been told that ever by a restaurant or bar and I think I know how a beer I enjoy tastes. A staff member was drinking behind the bar while serving as well. And we were told as customers that high school students go there after school to play pool... not sure if that is appropriate in a bar/pub setting. The best pizza in the area, coming from an east coast, NY style pizza gal! All of the staff were very welcoming and friendly. I sat at the bar and had a beer while waiting for my takeout pizza (shoutout to Taylor!). The owner seemed very attentive to guest and took notes to ensure quality was high. I asked for a meatball pizza, which wasn't on the menu, and they made it for me, no problem. I'm so happy that Kittle's does not have a sweet red sauce! Wow! What a disappointing experience. I did email them three weeks ago hoping to get a response prior to posting this. We have always loved Brick Oven pizza. With that being said, I saw that this establishment was new and we ordered this for dinner on a Friday evening. I called to find out the size of the pizza and she said that they were a typical large pizza. When it arrived, it wasn't a typical large and there was la sad amount pepperonis which weren't depicted in the pictures online. Also, it didn't look like it was cooked long enough. I can get over that, but I did order a side of the bruschetta, which was wet and soggy. Took a few bites and tossed it. I called that very evening and no one answered. @Mark T. We were at Kittles as well and they were busy. We were told it would be an hour for food. I saw it was busy and understood that they had to clean tables so more guests could sit down. I am not giving a family owned business a bad review it was one person taking care of all those tables. The food was great and worth the wait. The service borders on rude. Got 15 minutes to walk in a place and have the staff ignore you? Want to watch them clean tables and not take your order? Or bring you a water? Go here. After being there for almost an hour an employee asked us if we were waiting for food ??????? Shortly after we were given plates and told our order was coming out soon. After1&1/2 hours and not even a salad we left. We do not walk out of places but so happy we only ordered water to drink so no charge. We really wanted to give the local (not a chain) a chance. Very disappointing. The location is convenient and the restaurant is small and quaint and very cute. the service however, and the food were a huge disappointment. It took an hour and a half for each of us to get our food. Some came in in a half an hour some took much longer. I ordered a dinner salad, which had a nice big pile of shredded cheese on top underneath were about five sprigs of greens. Not even enough lettuce to cover a sandwich. One person at my table wanted a pizza with cauliflower crust which they advertise. Oh so sorry we don't have any cauliflower crusts. Another one ordered a Coke. When it arrived at the table, we could see that it was barely colored like a Coca-Cola. They had apparently run out of syrup and never changed it but they thought it was OK to serve it that way. My friend and I ordered a 12 inch pizza to share. Now mind you, this pizza was $18 with two toppings but we could pay one dollar more and add a third topping. That was fine although I thought the 12 inch pizza was overpriced to begin with. I ordered my side with pepperoni mushrooms and green peppers. She ordered her side with olives and mushrooms. The waitress very carefully wrote that down. When the pizza arrived an hour and 15 minutes later, there was no differentiating one side from the other. Everything was dumped on both sides. We told the waitress that the order was wrong. She did not offer us a new pizza instead she very graciously gave us a $3.80 discount on a pizza that neither of us could eat. Then she told us well. I'm sorry we have a new cook. Perhaps they should hire a cook that knows what a full or half pizza is. So, the location was very nice. The service was crazy slow and the food was unacceptable. Our order was messed up twice and they took nothing off the bill but gave away one of the messed up pizzas for free to other customers right in front of us. The manager acted as if it was an inconvenience that we wanted to make her aware of what had happened, when our server admitted she screwed up our order multiple times. Beautiful restaurant with very nice staff. We tried the olive pizza, which was very good. We also had the Kittles pasta and house salads with house Italian dressing. don't go there. food was good but they only had 1 person working the whole bar. our order got messed up twice . forgot no our pizza then when it came out it was wrong so we had to wait. waited 2 hours total then was overcharged. got that corrected but they took nothing off for the long wait and problems except what we were over charged.the pizza that was wrong was given away for free to another customer who also complained about the wait. tgss as tech I was upset because nothing was done for us. we called and spoke to a manager and she was not willing to do anything. said the girl had been there since 9, feel sorry for her but that's a management problem. this is why we won't be back. read more
