Stopped by for lunch on a Saturday. Partner ordered wings and I opted for the chicken sandwich. Both were very tasty. The huge portion of fries was too much (but delicious nonetheless!) It's worth noting that they share a space with Magic City Brewing and when walking in, it wasn't immediately clear what we were supposed to do. The only bartender on staff wasn't particularly talkative/welcoming in the sense of explaining what was going on or how things worked ...and the Cult Kitchen staff are behind a window past the bar. (I dont necessarily blame CK for the MCB bartender, but they're choosing to share that space and it's part of the experience so it seems like it's relevant.) We sat down at a booth and realized was a small table sign with a QR code for the food and drink menu. Below the codes is a small line of text that explains to go to the Cult Kitchen window for food and go to the bar for drinks. This isn't necessarily a bad setup, just had to adjust our mindset as it's more casual and in line with a food truck experience. ...like going up to the window more ketchup (it's in little lidded containers) for all those fries ...and cleaning up after yourself, as there is no one busing tables. In Akron for business and used Yelp to help find a place for a meal while in town. Be aware you will work a little upon arrival though at check out your are still offered the option to tip. Despite the positioning on their website it's not a traditional sit down place. It's an order window and then they bring food to the table. They share space with the Brewing company so a bottle of soda is what you get from the order window but anything else you go over to order at the bar separately. Two of us went for an early dinner. We opted for pretzel app which were tasty and a very big portion resulting in us not finishing them. I would say that app could easily serve 4. Slider special was tasty but considering the heavy portion of fries not everything on my plate was finished and neither was my coworkers meal. Eyes were bigger than our stomach. Place has about 10 (?) tables/booths and then folks sitting around the bar at the brewery side. I imagine on a popular day of the week (we went mid week before the dinner time rush) it could get crowded and loud. Feel of the place is grunge/biker though clean and well kept and without feeling 'theme restaurant'. I would say it has its only unique personality. Had we been more prepared from the restaurant's website for what the place was we might have more enjoyed things. Cult Kitchen is the food option inside of Magic City Brewing and operates separately. I have been here many times in the last few years. They have a handheld menu or you can use the QR code. You go to the window to order and then when it's ready they bring it up to you. I think they have some staples items but I do think the menu changes from time to time. I've had the chicken sandwich and the hot honey pizza in the past. My most recent visit I had the smash burger with homemade chips and a side of classic aioli. It was a good size burger with a generous portion of homemade chips. The burger was absolutely delicious! I wished I could've eaten a second one. The homemade chips were fresh and crunchy. The homemade dip was really good - but one side was not enough. Overall, I've been very satisfied every time I go. read more

Wanted to try the draft beer at Magic City Brewing and was thankful they also has a kitchen attached to brewery. You go up to the counter and order. They were serving brunch on this Sunday morning. We tried the mushroom pizza and cauliflower for a late night dinner. The mushroom pizza was the perfect umami with a savory sauce and just the right amount of cheese. The crust was crunchy and fluffy. The cauliflower was good, but not worth 5 stars. It could have been drained a little longer as there was quite a bit of oil in the bottom of the container and they were mushy by the time they were delivered. This didn't stop us from eating them. We will be trying other menu items in the very near future! Delicious! read more

Cult kitchen is one of my favorite restaurants in the portage lakes area. It is a little pricey, but I have never left here thinking the food was not worth it. Great burgers and some of my favorite fries ever. We have been there several times for there specials, from the crunchwraps to their Cuban sandwiches. Everything here is amazing. read more

We absolutely love Cult Kitchen! Never been disappointed with their food, ever. The have new specials every week. Some of our favorites are the quesadilla, breakfast burritos, burger/sliders, chicken fingers/sandwiches, and the sweet potato fries! We recently got the chicken hoagie, oh my was it so good. Unfortunately, I made the decision to split with my husband and only got half! We also like that anything fried never feels greasy. We love supporting Magic City Brewing and Cult Kitchen. Came here for the rave yelp reviews, but it must have been an off day. Ordered the cauliflower, sweet potato fries, and chicken street tacos. Cauliflower was fine, crispy breading and covered in teriyaki sauce. Sweet potato fries came out very dark but still... fine. (Found a hair.) The $11 order of chicken street tacos featured unseasoned reheated frozen chicken strips on slightly soggy corn tortillas. Didn't make it past the first bite, and just ordered more sweet potato fries. The table QR code menu prices do not match the register prices. Food came out pretty fast and the place has a neat clean-grungy ambience. Wanted to like this place but won't be back. read more

The mushroom pizza and the cauliflower are crazy good. My husband and I have gotten it two weeks in a row. We can't get enough. The cauliflower tastes like chicken almost. Very well seasoned. We stopped here when out with a friend one night and were pleasantly surprised. For a Friday night around 7, it wasn't too difficult to get in. We sat at a high top and ordered drinks at the bar. They have a large selection of beers including IPAs and sours that you might not find at other places around the area. I tried a cider that I really enjoyed while my husband and friend drank IPAs. You order your food at the walk up window next to the bar. The food is unique and delicious with lots of options to share if you want to try them all. We ordered the egg roll nachos and a street corn dip with tortilla chips that were both incredible to start, then ordered the OG Grilled chicken street tacos, the pepperoni and hot honey flatbread pizza, and the Cuban sandwich for dinner. Everyone loved what they ordered. I will say no one really checked on us since we served ourselves at the bar and the food window, but they did bring us our food and asked us if we needed anything when they dropped it off. The place was clean and the ambiance was great and not too loud. I see that they have a rotating food menu and now i want to go back just to try the new items this weekend. It's a kitchen operating inside of Magic City Brewing Company (which deserves its own separate review of MCBC's OUTSTANDING beer). When you finally find yourself in front of the Cult counter about to order here is what I, a frequent customer, recommend. First: Nachos. Get them. Don't think twice, just get them. Any variation is A+ Second: beer cheese and pretzels (you are at a brewery after all) Third: I love the tacos OR the beer cheesesteak hoagie. Fourth: THE SPECIALS! They are always killer and if they sound good on paper they are going to be tasty. I've never been let down by the specials. Side Note: Their flatbread pizza's are great, but for $15 there are better options you should go with, in my humble opinion. A bit pricy for how small the pizza is. Get the best beer of your life from MCBC, then head over to the Cult window and feast to your heart's content. Right inside the best brewery in Akron. This food is bomb! The atmosphere is awesome. This was my first time going to brunch here and it makes me love this place even more. Wide variety of breakfast options but not an overwhelming amount. The gravy smothered burrito was obviously messy but worth the mess. I loved it. And the chicken and waffles was classic. Hot juicy chicken. While you wait for brunch, you can order a beer from magic city brewery. I've even been here on random Wednesday nights after soccer games and anything ordered like pretzel bites or deep fried pickles have been amazing. Honestly this is my favorite place. 100% recommend. Cult Kitchen is located in the Magic City Brewery pub. The food at breweries can be a bit of a letdown sometimes but that's certainly not the case here! My wife and got Pretzel bites, Egg Roll Nachos and Roasted Cauliflower and shared it all between us. $36 before tax and tipping. We both enjoyed each dish quite a bit. The horseradish mustard that came with the pretzels was excellent! I couldn't get enough of that. Sesame glazed cauliflower was very similar to general tzo chicken. The cauliflower was nicely cooked with a good density to it. Portion size was a bit on the small side in my opinion. Egg Roll Nachos, what a genius idea! Very good combination of flavors. Sweet, savory, crunchy, delicious! The portion size for the Nachos is very nice. The way they do things there is you go up to the counter, place your order and pay then. Same thing with ordering drinks, go to the bar, order and pay right there. This means there's no wait staff coming to your table. I liked that but maybe not everyone would. Not a real big place but we had no problem getting a table on a very cold Friday night in February. I can't understand the good reviews of the food. It was mediocre and tasteless. The overwhelming taste from the chicken tacos was char. Otherwise, no taste. Beer was good. Not sure that the grindcore music playing in the bar made sense for the atmosphere. Staff was very friendly, but food overall was underwhelming. Spent over $60 for two beers and food for two. I love this place! There couldn't be a better addition to Magic City. They offer weekly specials and rotate the menu on the regular to keep things fresh. Maggie who takes your order is a doll! My Dad is elderly and in a wheelchair but still loves to participate in the local brewery scene. Maggie always comes out to greet him and make sure he has all that he needs to enjoy his meal.
