I'm impressed to see Parnell's has a combined 4 star rating, as we did not have a very good experience. We sat down at the bar and noticed the weather channel was on TV. I asked if they'd be able to change it to one of the NCAA March Madness games, and the bartender very sarcastically said 'no we don't watch basketball here'. It was so sarcastic, I legit couldn't tell if he was kidding or not. 5-10 awkward seconds later he recanted and said just kidding and proceeded to change the channel. We ordered two espresso martinis. We weren't sure if they had the means to make them, but figured they would've told us if they couldn't. Well, they made them, but I didn't see them add any espresso/coffee mixture. It was just vodka, kahlua and baileys from what I could tell. Essentially all the flavors of coffee without the caffeine, which was the primary reason we ordered them as we were headed to a concert that evening. On top of that, the drink was filled less than half way (pictured) leading to about 3 sips before it was finished. Then, come to find out each one cost around $9. Maybe we should've stuck to an Irish whiskey or Guinness. Maybe they should learn to make an espresso martini correctly, or don't make them at all. Maybe the bartender shouldn't have been so sarcastic to patrons they don't recognize as regulars. Or maybe you just shouldn't visit Parnell's, and if you do, definitely don't order an espresso martini.

Great pour. Fun service. Fun customers. Easy to find. No food served. Great selection of whiskey

You should stop at Parnells before seeing a show at Playhouse Square. It's the perfect spot for drinks before show. They have a large menu that can be accessed by QR code. The staff was picked to accommodate our party so we had a place to sit. I ordered an espresso martini which was not on the menu. They were quick to accommodate the request, and the martini was STRONG. The pub Is quite busy before shows so I would plan accordingly. there is quite a bit of seating but you may be standing at the bar.

This is pub....beer and cocktails, very limited food for snacks. This is a small pub that is overly friendly and open to the downtown customers and Playhouse attendees. We enjoy going for the small bar vibe.

Very cool place to enjoy some cocktails before a theater show. Whether a it's a craft beer or fine whiskey, this place can meet you needs. Friendly bartenders who can handle the crowd. Reasonable price. Very good seating options and window views as well. Cool place. Will make this a staple.

Great place to stop in for a quick drink in the Theater district if you have some time to kill or after work for happy hour when they offer $1 off. I don't think they get people hanging out long as there aren't many tables and the only snacks available were dried meat sticks and bags of UtZ chips. They offer a full bar and the service is quick and friendly. There was seating inside and out and charging stations available. There are a couple of TVs if you're sitting in the right location to view.

My group were supposed to go to Habesha Ethiopian restaurant for dinner and book club but they were closed so we found ourselves at PJ's Irish Pub. AMBIANCE -- Dimmer light but not too dark inside. Typical, traditional bar look and feel. Lots of booth tables plus a center bar area with chairs around it. DRINKS -- I don't drink alcohol so I can't comment on their drink offerings but considering that this is an Irish Pub, they must have lots of options to choose from such as beer. FOOD -- Their menu is large with dishes such as pot pie, tacos, meatloaf, etc. I didn't want to spend a lot of money so I just ordered 2 beef tacos that came with tomatoes but I forgot to ask for it to come without cheese. So, I had to remove the shredded cheese from it. There was a lot of cheese on the tacos too. The tacos were fine - simple enough and the beef tasted just right. This pub is probably more known for their drinks but I may be wrong. Everyone on my table seemed to enjoy their dinner. I noticed someone ordered meatloaf, another for a chicken pot pie, another had a big plate of broccoli with something else (the broccoli looked tasty), and so on. SERVICE (5/5) -- our group was treated well. We were greeted upon walking in plus our server took our orders at a reasonable time. PARKING -- Not the best like most places in the area because it is street parking only but I was very lucky to find a street parking spot right in the front of the pub. You can probably park at the shopping district parking lot across the street where a gas station is located. Overall, although I wasn't expecting to even visit PJ McIntyre's Irish Pub on that cold January evening, it was a nice enough experience (mostly FUN because of the book club group rather than the food). The beef tacos that I ordered were fine and a fair price (around $6.50 total). I most likely won't be back since I don't drink alcohol and I hardly visit pubs or bars for dinner. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 11/250 total reviews in 2026 - 852 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 27 February 2026

Me and my babe were riding down Route 2 talking about wanting something good and different, and he was like, "You wanna try The Harp?" I said you know what... let's do it! We always thought it was super upscale -- whole time we were wrong... but in the BEST way. The vibe is nice, cozy, and welcoming, and the service? On point. Now let's get to the FOOD. Because baby... that's what we came for I was scrolling the menu and got hype seeing vegan options (you already know that warms my heart ). I kept eyeing the vegetarian boxty -- an Irish potato pancake -- something different. I was like hmm... maybe. Then I switched it up and said nah, I'm getting the fried green tomato wrap BUT WAIT. The waiter walked past with a plate that smelled SO good it literally stopped me mid-thought. I'm like hold on... what IS that?! She said, "That's the salmon boxty." Me and my babe looked at each other like... yeahhh we both thinking the same thing He ordered the steak boxty, and I got the vegetarian boxty. Listen... 10/10. MUST TRY AGAIN. Huge portions, flavorful, and DIFFERENT in the best way. That Irish potato pancake was loaded with sautéed mushrooms, zucchini, squash, spinach, onions, and carrots, all topped with a creamy spinach sauce. Not dry, not skimpy -- just straight up delicious. And the price? I definitely appreciated that too. The drink menu looked good -- I didn't indulge, but I did sip his "Clair Cooler" and babyyyy... nice, strong, and worth it Safe to say... we'll be back again and again

You won't even be able to stand. As for my other visit, it was on a Friday night. A nice sized crowd, full bar. Sports game on the television. A nice atmosphere for a neighborhood bar. A great touch is the 1 pinball machine in the corner. Older game but it does take up something to do with friends. As with service we were told that the bar is extremely behind by a rude bartender named Meg. You can tell she was overwhelmed and just seemed to be having a rough day. A few minutes later we were told by staff that the kitchen was now closed. Pretty strange as the menu is mainly all bar served fried food or burgers etc. The bartender also announced that they were out of fish as well. I continued to order drinks, they were cold and tasted as advertised. About an hour or so later , the kitchen was then re opened when the bar was less crowded. I order a dozen wings, garlic Parmesan with ranch. The wings were real solid. Nice and crispy and the garlic and parm combo was just enough. The basket of fries we got were average fries. Not crispy, nor salty but atleast they were hot. The prices were about average, no complaints about that. Overall, the bar does not seem to handle stress or large crowds very well. My wings were good, fries were average like I said. My friends attend this bar often and did tell me that this bar is not like this usually. May have been a rough day. I assume I will be back again, I wouldn't pick this place to go to but the location is close enough to the area we hang out. Not so much of any certain type of theme at the bar but I did notice the staff recognize many patrons by name so it will continue to be the neighborhood bar for many. Overall a 6.7 out of 10.

I wanted basically everything from the menu that came vegan (spoiler alert there are tons and tons of things) but gastric space comes at a premium on vacation so we settled on the fried cheese. I was very excited to see the Polish boy (and vegan option no less) I didn't have much of a choice. GF ordered the vegan pierogi platter with vegan kielbasa on a bed of kraut. Firstly the fried cheese was head and shoulders above any mozz sticks or anything of the sort that I have had in memory. The breading is seasoned and crispy and heaven on earth. The cheese is PIPING. Like you will burn yourself if you, like me, have no patience. The accompanying tomato sauce is also steaming. So good. The Polish boy was also in a league of its own. Love that they have a vegan version. What a combo. Probably one of Cleveland's most important community contributions. We ordered the latkes to go and they were orgasmic. What a special place.
