What an amazing find! We were dining upstairs at Crying Tiger when I headed downstairs to the restroom and stumbled upon this hidden speakeasy bar. Naturally, I had to ask how to get in. Jeffrey kindly added us to the waitlist while we finished dinner upstairs, and we received a text as soon as our table was ready. When we arrived, Jeffrey checked us in and we were taken care of by our server, Taylor. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The vibe is chill yet classy, perfect for unwinding. They even greeted us with a small welcome cocktail and nuts, which was a nice touch. The drinks were delicious, and the whole experience felt like a hidden gem. Overall, such a great and unexpected find--perfect for a date night!

Kitty's Cosmo was great. Reservations can be tough to get, but the experience was worth it. The service was attentive, the space was beautiful. They start you off with small complimentary drinks before the cocktails, and the jasmine tea was especially good. The cocktails themselves were also really well done. Definitely a spot I'd come back to.

Had drinks here on a rainy summer evening. Very surprised we were able to snag reservations but it was certainly busy yet intimate. Great ambiance, creative cocktails, certainly a highlight for our trip to Chicago

I haven't had cocktails this delicious in Chicago in a very long time. Interior design will have you thinking you're at a fancy dinner party as the staff are adorned in velvet jackets. The welcome rum drink was so delicious that I ordered it as a full size cocktail. Vieux carre was amongst the better ones in the city albeit being on the juicier side of the spectrum. I also liked the rob roy. The cocktails have crazy balances to them. Walk ins are possible if you're patient. It's not without fault. Service was slow, cocktails aren't the strongest but I'm starting to believe that's the price you pay for flavor. Wagyu dim sum was merely ok but the sauce made it better. In closing in you enjoy bourgeois cocktails at a medium price point then get here asap. It's also no coincidence that their sister bar next door was just named amongst 50 best bars in the country

Kitty's Cosmopolitan Club has a really intimate vibe, and the décor is stylish and thoughtfully done--it definitely sets the mood for a nice evening. The drinks were good overall, but nothing particularly memorable; most of them leaned a bit too sweet for our taste. The desserts were just average and didn't really stand out. Between the cream puff and the truffles, we preferred the truffles. Service was on the slower side, though our server was friendly and pleasant throughout. Overall, it was a decent experience, but there's room for improvement.

Hard to snag a reservation but set a notify me to grab a time. Service is outstanding and attentive starting with the host. Menu is small so don't expect a lot of variety or options. Food was delicious, drinks pretty but as expected overpriced. Great vibe overall and worth going at least once.

Cool speakeasy under Crying Tiger with really nice interior. They start you off with a tiny welcome drink and some almonds, which is a cute touch. The drinks from the cold room are definitely on the stronger side, so I ended up liking the ones made at the bar more. We had the Martinez which was very strong and the Sea Breeze, which was light and refreshing. Probably not a spot I'd go to all the time, but it was a fun place to check out once.

    Stirred cosmopolitan

Overall, really enjoyed Kitty's. The vibe, service, and drinks were great. My only reason for giving 4 stars is because of the glassware that the cosmopolitan arrived in... call me crazy but if you are going to be called a "cosmopolitan club" it would be nice for the drink to arrive in a chilled martini glass or a coupe... not a glass water cup. The bar had gorgeous stemware that would have made a better presentation. Also the drink was supposed to be served at a very cold temperature but it still arrived with a huge block of ice.. the Cosmopolitan at Gus's is 10x better.

We made a reservation ahead of time, which I'd definitely recommend, but it wasn't overly packed and we were seated without any issues. The vibe in there is top tier. Dim lighting, live music energy, and just the right mix of chill and upscale. It's the kind of place where you can actually enjoy the atmosphere without feeling rushed. This was my second time here and I remember it being just as good back in 2022. The drinks were immaculate. I had two mocktails that were both well-balanced (not overly sweet, which I appreciate), and he ordered an old fashioned. You can tell they take their bar program seriously and can go beyond a gin & tonic. Overall, it was a really good time. It can give you a great midweek outing or a laid-back night with a little something.

People were standing right behind me to order drinks; I didn't feel overly crowded by any means but some who aren't used to that kind of bar/clubby vibe might feel that way. The music was a little loud to be heard over all the folks there, but I wasn't talking to anyone so it didn't bother me (was just sitting and reading a book). The bartender was really nice and attentive despite the fact that the place was so packed. I had a drink called the "Gentle Fish" which the bartender rec'd as a sweeter/more floral drink. Admittedly it was a little strong, but the flavor was nice! It was different from most other drinks I've had, and I enjoyed it. Was strong enough I definitely did not need another though. Of note, this place is downstairs under "The Hoxton" hotel, there's no entrance directly to the bar from the sidewalk/street (you have to enter the hotel lobby, then follow the signs toward the back and go down the elevator and/or stairs). There is a person who checks your ID when you enter and seats you if seats are available. The bathrooms were very clean. Not sure about parking but street parking is definitely very limited; I imagine a paid lot would probably be the easiest thing or taking the train from wherever you're staying if you can (which is what I did).

The security guard then sized our group member up for at least one full minute while I urged him walk away and go continue doing his job (flash lighting lol). It was really weird and frightening behavior from a 50 year old+ employee that could land them in a lot of legal trouble. Management only offered two drink tokens after another group member complained. The tokens were then declined by the bartender. Poorly run institution that needs to 1) run better background checks on their security guards / make sure they're not violent 2) put up roping/boundaries by the tables to avoid overcrowding where they do bottle service There are much better bars/restaurants in the area that won't tackle to the ground. It was no wonder when we arrived that there was a line out the door. We waited around 45 minutes, and the bouncer was a really nice fellow who kept track of the numbers and people at the door. Upon entering, we were immersed in a dimly lit retro-style lounge. It was quite loud inside and packed as we walked to our seats. The server was great at taking our orders and offering suggestions. I opted for the French 75, which featured sparkling wine and mixed gin, brandies, and citrus. The drink was delicious, but STRONG. I don't know what they put in the cocktails in America, but I am always finished after one drink. Needless to say, we were all struggling to finish our own drinks. My favourite touch was the coasters, I ended up keeping all of them so that I can reuse them at my galentines event next year. The 'bisous' with the kiss on the other side is a perfect touch! I think the drinks are fairly priced for USD. I would love to return someday to try other drinks and bar bites, and also try their sister bar, Sparrow.

Imagine my shock when we didn't even make it past the bouncer because he was so rude, AS OTHER RECENT REVIEWS HAVE MENTIONED AS WELL! We had dinner nearby and walked to Bisous after, and saw there was a line of 5 or 6 people outside. We expected this as we knew Bisous is a first come, first serve bar. We were curious what the wait time would look like, so we approached the front door to ask a host or employee inside (we assumed there'd be a desk with an employee working it who could give us a wait time). We had no problem waiting, just wanted to see how long they estimated it would be! Before we could even fully open the door, the bouncer swung the door open from the other side and hit me with the door. I stumbled back a few steps and he looked at us and said, and I quote, "What do you want?". I laughed at first because I thought he was joking and putting on a tough guy act. He was not. We quickly explained we just wanted to see what the wait time was, and he said "don't you see there's a line outside?" We said yes, and explained we just wanted to know a rough estimated wait time. He just blankly stared at us while ushering us out. Both my boyfriend and I have worked in customer-service roles for a very, very long time. This encounter was not only extremely rude and unprofessional, but he also hit me hard enough with the door to send me stumbling back, and then said nothing about it and continued to address us in a tone that was nothing less than annoyed and irritated. We didn't end up going inside because that encounter left such a bad taste in our mouths. I don't believe in spending my money at establishments that don't treat their customers with the bare minimum respect they deserve! Bummed we didn't get to experience it, as I'm sure it was lovely inside and I can only hope the rest of the employees were much more kind and accommodating, or at least able to answer a simple question. Fire your "bouncer" (??) and hire someone with some basic customer service and communication skills!!

I took off a star because it's pricey -- I got the "milk punch" on their classic cocktail menu which was $25 and is pretty small, but it's a nice drink and tasted very much like a milk punch drink I got at a speakeasy back home (in Austin, TX). The bartenders were super nice and provided excellent service, no complaints there! The bathrooms were also immaculate. Overall, this is a very nice speakeasy! I've been to many in my day and the ambiance is definitely on par with the best, but I gotta say some other unique ingredients (ideally more floral options!) would really take their menu up a notch! Collectively, we ordered more than half the beverages on the menu. I love the menu concept of the birds that fly farther along the page to indicate how alcohol-forward the drink is. That's a really fun idea!
