I tried to return a brand new pair of shorts with tags that were a gift. All I wanted to do was exchange them for another color because the color I received was light and completely see-through. The gentleman at the counter refused to consider anything I said because I did not have a gift receipt, and he was only willing to give me a third of the value of the shorts. I really like the shorts and would like to keep them. I just am not interested in flashing everyone in the process. I just wanted a different color. Such a shame as I always was so happy with this store's curbside pick up. It's been the best. Unfortunately I will not be back. So disappointed. : (

This is a combination Patagonia outlet and regular shop that also holds sample sales and local events like lectures and yoga classes. There is metered street parking available right by the entrance or you can try to find free street parking a block over and walk. This is apparently the largest Patagonia store on the East Coast and they even have their own Baltimore patch! They have sales on top of their outlet prices as well but just keep an eye on what they serial is actually on sale such as fleeces instead of the entire store being on additional sale. I came by for a yoga class on a Sunday morning (bring your own mat!). This was hosted by Andrea and attendance was about 15 people and was a very pleasant peaceful start to the morning! Holabird customer service which is normally great, is not standing buy its customers. It has a…read moremisleading website, with respect to a new racquet purchase, and did not listen to me (the customer). I had purchased a racquet not knowing it's the prior 3 year old model. Their website is not clearly labeled for the version of the racquet shown and is misguiding people. When you click through their menu items to display the racquets by brand, the OLD generation racquets are shown, not clearly labeled as such and nowhere on that list is the new generation shown. They don't feel its misleading, not listening to the customer so they will not provide a full credit for the racquet with stringing. They discount the refund by the cost of the string and $9 for the racquet.

I put my number in but apparently, she was ringing up my order as a brand new purchase. When I told her that I was returning an item, she responded that I never informed her that I had a returned. I responded by informing her that she never said hello to me and never asked what I needed. She argued back that she asked me how I was doing and that it was my fault that she rung up the purchase. I educated her on customer service and informed of better ways to act as a cashier. She processed my return finally. Because of this interaction, I wouldn't come back to location. If Kristen isn't able to remain professional and welcoming while working at the cash register, she should find a different position that doesn't require employee-to-customer interactions.
