Mid season, the familiar faces were gone and so did the great service and produce. My gripe is with their cases of tomatoes. For years we were able to adjust boxes (meaning swap out bad tomatoes) or "top off" the case. This year however, there was a $5 upcharge (anytime they felt like charging it, depending on who was working that day) which is fine because I get it, prices change but be consistent. Also the case is "as is" which means I now have to wonder how many rotten tomatoes I'm gifted with. Only to be told quite rudely "if you don't like it, don't buy it" Where are the sisters who ran this farm exceptionally?? So disappointing. Do yourself a favor and drive a bit up in either direction to Latham's or Farmer Joe on Albertson.

The apple cider donuts were warm, soft, and absolutely amazing--worth the trip alone! I'm so glad I was told about Breeze Hill Farm. It's the perfect place to spend a beautiful fall day with family. When you arrive, you can choose between a $20 or $50 bag, and they give you an apple picker stick so you can start your adventure through their stunning 30 acres of apple trees. The land and environment are absolutely beautiful--open skies and rows of apple trees that make the whole place feel peaceful and welcoming. The farm grows an incredible 26 varieties of apples, and you can truly taste the organic freshness in every bite. There's something so special about eating an apple you picked yourself--it's crisp, flavorful, and full of that farm-fresh sweetness you just can't find anywhere else. There's also a cozy fire pit area to relax by, a spot to grab drinks, and the market offers fresh eggs and tomatoes for sale, which was such a nice touch. It was the perfect fall outing, and everyone in the family loved it. We'll definitely be coming back to Breeze Hill Farm next season!

Yes, the view from the farm stand towards Orient Harbor is the best view on the North Fork. But the reality is... it was once a better farm stand, where locals could get pints of fresh berries and tomatoes for cheap. The parking lot was once filled with banged up pick up trucks and Ford and GM sedans. Maybe a Subaru. Now the parking lot is full of Teslas and Rivian pick ups. Not to mention a late model Maserati and vintage Porsche here and there. Vrooooom. And the fresh berries are expensive... Farm stands nowadays are more like Delis. Latham sells a lot of local produce...including their excellent local Oysters! Their corn is the best on the North Fork. But they also sell a lot of veggies and fruits from New Jersey and further. I always ask where the produce is from before whipping out my billfold. They take Venmo for those who don't know what a billfold is. I will always go there for my produce. Because having this version of Latham is better than not having any Latham.

The little self-service farm shop offers organic eggs and chicken products, wool products, etc. Browder's Birds is a little way from the "main drag," but I think that is part of what makes it so special and well worth a visit if you're in the area.

I have to tell you their mushroom quiche is honestly the best I've ever had in my life. Love this farm. Recently needed mayo for a dinner party .I have not been able to find good quality organic mayo without toxic chemicals until I found this farm yay! So I ordered my mayo and got it shipped to my house.Also their ginger snap moon pies are my favorite treats. When I can't come personally visit , I order online instead.
