Traveled twelve hours to meet up with my girlfriend for vacation and I met her here once I hot to the area. It's a nice restaurant, was very busy when I pulled in but luckily babe saved me a spot at the bar. She had ordered an appetizer and was munching on that when I got in, I ordered a burger which came out quick. I must have been hungry as it was gone as quickly as as it arrived. I didn't take in the moment as it was a long day of travels but from what I know about the surrounding area this would be a good choice for a date night out if you are looking for somewhere to go. read more

TW: This place bleeds money at your expense. This establishment needs an overhaul and warn their customers about drinking cut off rules. Our first waitress (we went an hour before shift change) was really sweet, but our last waitress informed us about the beer/drink limit for the bar. However, our previous waitress was filling our glasses nonstop and my husband wasn't driving, I was drinking Pepsi Zero. The manager shows up after requesting her, with a major attitude and a definite need of a makeover and proceeded to inform us that there was a "companywide" limit on alcohol. First of all, you're an establishment, not a company. You have all of 2 locations. (Another group of people were walking out with us, and they also had the same problem and there words exactly were "lets go get some real drinks, ones that don't cost $14 and let's go somewhere we can actually drink." WOW!) On a side note, why do you have more than 5 host/hostesses (who are all on their phones, even though they're not "supposed to be")? You need 2-3. Why do you have 30-50 waitstaff for an establishment that warrants 10 at best? Do you enjoy bleeding money? If you're looking for a job where you can stand around and do nothing all day this is the place for you. We won't be returning to any of your "company" establishments. BTW you're in Jackson, NOT Ann Arbor. ***Update*** They informed us that the waitstaff decides if someone "appears" intoxicated. Managers will back up their waitstaff at all costs, even if that includes losing business. Therefore, the second waitress stated to the manager that he "appeared" intoxicated due to the number of beverages he had consumed, yet she was unable to provide any evidentiary support as to what "he appeared intoxicated" means. In other words, this is discriminatory nature of practice based solely on the number of alcoholic beverages you've consumed. BTW if you want a really good dinner go to Burger King down the street. I don't say this lightly, because I've been to a lot of pizza places in my life, but this spot easily lands in my top three. Top. Three. The place itself is newer, which you can immediately tell from the clean, modern décor and the fact that it doesn't feel like it's been operating unchanged since 1994. It's a great spot to come with friends or family, or to grab a seat and catch a game. In our case, we were taking clients out to eat, and they chose this place, which instantly earned them major points. Excellent pick. Naturally, we ordered appetizers, because skipping apps would be irresponsible. The artichoke and spinach dip was rich, creamy, and dangerously good, and the garlic knots were next-level tasty. Warm, garlicky, and impossible to stop eating. Zero regrets. For the main event, we ordered two pizzas: one Detroit-style (Red Top) and one regular pizza. And wow. Just... wow. The cheese pull on these beauties was absolutely ridiculous, the kind that deserves a slow-motion video. The pizza itself was phenomenal. The crust was crispy yet perfectly chewy, the cheese was hot, melty, and gloriously stringy, and the sauce actually had flavor (which shouldn't be rare, but somehow is). To top it all off, our server was fantastic. Super friendly, genuinely funny, and great with everyone at the table, which always makes the experience even better. Bottom line: incredible pizza, great vibes, awesome service. I would recommend this place to anyone without hesitation. Klavon's is a super interesting place to eat. With a very intriguing menu of cocktails, light bites and stuffed pizzas, you can't go wrong. We ordered the Cheesesteak Stuffed Pizza and it was one of the best pizzas I could ever have. They do NOT skimp on the stuffing of the pizza and every bite is well worth it. Our waitress was fast and very knowledgeable of the menu. Constantly checking up on us and making sure our drinks were always topped off. She gave us the recommendation of the stuffed Cheesesteak Pizza. Excellent choice! This place is more of a sports bar type of restaurant with TVs in every booth to watch your favorite sports games that are currently playing or a TV show which you might like. It does get kind of noisy but the fun kind. The wait times for smaller parties is a lot faster than those of 4 or more. Plan accordingly but it's totally worth the wait. We stopped in during our travels to give Klavon's a try. First off a shout out to Akaysha H for 5 star service throughout our dinning experience and the spot on dinning suggestions. We ordered the Pepperoni Pin Wheels and Spinach & Artichoke Dip with the suggestion to use celery inside of the flat bread to accommodate a gluten free member of our dinning party. Both were delicious. I ordered the Klavon Burger with onion straws and it was very good. My better half ordered a Detroit style pizza and she loved it. Another member of our dinner party ordered the gluten free pizza and loved it as well and the last but not least member of our dinning experience order the Reuben and said it was average. My kids didn't eat hardly anything and there was a rude table use all kids of foal language in front of my kids and I politely asked them to please stop using that kind of language and they glared at me, shook there head and kept doing it. Friendly staff, upbeat, lots of smiles. Server was great she was from Chicago one of my favorite cities. This is an "upscale pizza" joint. They have excellent Detroit style pizza. Most of their pizzas are heavy on the crust - I always leave feeling stuffed with bread, but that's my own doing! Salads are great and the pizza pinwheels are a must try. I get them every time. My only critiques are that sometimes they seem short staffed (our table isn't usually checked on often) and the prices are a bit steep for what you get. However, it's a great spot for lunch or dinner on your own, with family/friends, and great for groups! read more

Went for the first time with a party of four. My aunt raved about this place and upon arrival the place lived up to her hype. This place was absolutely beautiful, the inside decor and outside seating area is something to see. Our waitress was amazing, she was attentive and very friendly. Now the food!!!! Ehhhhe the other three compadres ordered calzones and I should have too but noooo ...I had to be the bold daring one. Okay so to be honest, I'm a pizza connoisseur and if the name of your restaurant has the food you "specialize" in, in the title, one would assume the pizza would be fantastic. Yeah.. no. So I ordered the deep dish cheese pizza added chicken and onions.... This pizza was not the traditional deep dish pizza I'm used to but carry on. The sauce just sat on top of the pizza but carry on..the chicken was hard, my flavored crust was not flavored, and to insult me even more this pizza was 18 dollars for a small. Came here for lunch after closing on my new home in town. Have to say that I couldn't have had a better introduction to Jackson. First off it is a very nice spot and I don't mean as in you have to dress black tie to go in. Very clean and nice looking place, definitely gives the pub/bar feel with the number of TVs in every direction. I was personally appreciative of the fact that there wasn't music blasting so loud you couldn't have a conversation (and I hear there is outdoor seating during the summer). As for the food itself - calamari was excellent, I could not get enough of the lemon aioli. I would be back for that alone, if it weren't for the pizza. Easily top 3 pizza I've ever had and I cannot wait to dig into my leftovers. I got the Peppadew the Pig hand tossed pizza (caramelized onions, italian sausage, green peppers, and peppadew) and I will say that it was cooked to perfection. and shoutout to our server, sadly I don't remember his name but if it weren't for the fact that I was stuffed he absolutely sold me on the cheesecake. This place was recommended to me by 2 people so I had to try it. It did not disappoint! We had a party of 2 on Saturday at 6 pm. We were quoted a 45 minute wait but it ended up being about 25. There was a Lions game this day and there was a lot of carry out happening. This place is super cozy. I love the design and they had the fireplace scene on one of the TV's which is a nice touch in freezing January. Our server Logan was awesome. Super friendly and made some great suggestions for what to order. He came to check on us the perfect amount of times and just really impressed us. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip which came with the tastiest warm flatbread. You MUST order this! I got the deluxe calzone. Perfection! My mom got the fajita wrap. She raved about it and this is no small feat since my mom might be the pickiest person on the planet. I chose the pizza sauce and garlic butter sauce for dipping the calzone. Ranch was also offered. We had plenty of leftovers to bring home. This place was also super clean. Do yourself a favor and try this place out. They have great food but they are getting a little pricey. They have a ton of tv's and everyone else in the place has to talk very loud so you can barely hear anyone you are dining with. This isn't a sports bar, They need to get rid of the tv's. read more

They make you feel welcome with every visit. You'll pay a premium for your meal, but service and quality of offerings succeed expectations. I Enjoy their stuff pizza and it never disappoints. I typically sit at the bar and dine alone, the bartenders will flex their style depending on the customer. I work in Jackson and I had heard of Klavon's so when I had the opportunity to go, I did. The first time was back in February, the next time was in June. Here's what's up, both times the experience was fantastic! They are organized in terms of the wait process (of our two times, most recent, it was less than 5 minutes, the first time more like 20). Polite and clear, I love a well communicated entry process. Now, to the food, this far I have had the wings, pizza, burger, salad. My wife similar plus the tomato bisque soup, and the Santa Fe Salad. I didn't snap good pics because I dove striver in! Pizza is tasty, not the best ever but a solid 7/10. You know the saying- "There is pizza then there is great pizza, I eat both!" One thing I will say, their salads are amazing! The wings were tender, crispy and tasty, although I don't remember the flavor we got but I figure they all will be delicious no matter the flavor. Oh yeah, I have had a beer, margarita and the wife has had wine and an expression martini, now I have a tradition, so I can show that. Service was attentive and on point. I love a good check in while providing space to enjoy, both times I got that. And I love the indoor and outdoor seating options almost at any time in our fickle Michigan weather. Over all I give them a 8/10 and Klavon's passes and exceeds the "Will we be back?" test. Next time I will try something different as I am going to try and go through this whole menu as I can!
