    Coney style hot dog. Delish.
    Peter T.

In Michigan, in addition to a reference to the particular type of hot dog preparation (mustand, meat sauce, onion), "Coney Island" often means, full service diner. Such was the case with Roosters, which we found by accident looking for a different place. There's a story that in Jackson, the difference in the meat sauce is because it is made from ground beef hearts, I didn't ask whether that was true at this location, but the sauce was very meaty/beefy tasting and I enjoyed it a lot.

Great service, friendly ambiance ( fun customers ) and the gyro was good but just super greasy so it will be a guilty pleasure not a go to

I was going to eat it for lunch today!! No more Roosters for me.

Got this from Rooster's yesterday salad with cucumber and tomato. Was going to eat this for lunch until I opened the container. No more Rooster's for me.. Glad I took a picture.

This location is one of my favorite places to grab breakfast in town. The best thing for me is the consistency of this restaurant! Which is not an easy thing to accomplish in my opinion. The food the staff the value of the size and product is always impressive to me.

A friend, invited me for breakfast, at this business that seems to be fairly busy, a small diner, with a small dining area, which seems filled with customers, the food is very old fashionly good, old-school menu, and all the waitress is very talkative and friendly. A great place to stop.

I tell you what that steak stir fry was something words can't explain my Opinion I'd rather go to it and Coney Island rather than go to the Chinese restaurant to get a stirfry you guys & gals did an awesome job thanks for I'm ready to take a nap

This is a small coney island with a cute interior. The vibe I got from my experience is that it is a very friendly place where everyone knows each other. There were a lot of regulars dining in when I stopped by. Really liked the people, service, decor, and layout. I ordered the country omelette which had hash browns inside of it. The hash browns were cooked well. I especially enjoyed the gravy. They smothered my omelette in it. I had absolutely no problem with this, however, since it was so tasty. The coffee was also delicious. I am a sucker for good diner coffee. I never had an empty cup which is always a plus. I had a number of waiters stop by to refill it. I will definitely be going back and I look forward to trying more on the menu.

This is a really solid coney island. I hope they stick around. They offer pita bread grilled cheese, which is one of my favorite diner foods, so that's great. Their ranch is not good, though. Ranch is important to me, so that alone is what lost them a star. The prices are great, and as you would expect, the menu is huge and varied. I will definitely be returning!

    Scrambled not done!

The biggest problem I have with this restaurant is they do not know how to cook eggs done. I usually like over medium but they whites are always snotty, so I changed to scrambled eggs. Not sure how you could still under cook scrambled eggs, but some how they manage to achieve that goal.

On Fridays they have All the Fried Fish you can Eat for 9.99 and they serve Breakfast All Day !!! We Will be Back !!!!

Great breakfast, one of the best in town. Coney's are very good as well, even though they are not a "Jackson" Coney.

The restaurant is conveniently placed right next to a free 2-hour parking lot that had plenty of spaces open at 8:45am. We were promptly seated after walking in and greeted by our server. She brought us soda and coffee and then took our orders. My fiancé asked for a side of bacon to be on the rare side (flopping), but was told that the chef precooks some items, so he probably wouldn't be willing to make a fresh to order side of bacon. Our food came out really quickly, the side of French toast i ordered was delicious and a much larger size than i anticipated. My fiancé, who claims to be a "pancake connoisseur" said his Chocolate chip pancakes were amazing. The bacon fell short of expectations, but overall the meal was excellent. The prices on the menu aren't insane compared to the size and quality of most of the food items. I think a few tweaks to the aesthetics of the restaurant, and more flexibility by the chef would go a long way. Definitely come in if you're hungry, and looking to avoid breaking the bank for a great brunch.

Not complaining though -- I've been to Cracker Barrel before and I genuinely love it. Comfort food, rocking chairs, and a gift shop you accidentally walk through every single time? Sign me up. If you have ever been to one, the place is very comforting, and reminds you of taking a wagon train out east. We placed our order and quickly realized our server was probably new. I actually admire anyone jumping into the trenches and figuring things out on the fly, because we've all been there. Unfortunately, he didn't seem to have much backup, and things started slipping through the cracks. A few forgotten items here, a missing thing there -- nothing malicious, just very clearly a learning curve in progress. I do give him credit for the effort and staying polite throughout. When the food finally came out, it was the usual Cracker Barrel situation: portions large enough to feed a small family. We ordered a variety of items -- baked potato, side of broccoli, a NY steak, and I went with the pot roast skillet. Flavor-wise, the skillet was good, but wow... it leaned hard into the salt. Like, one more sprinkle and we'd be in ocean territory. That said, the pecan skillet completely redeemed the experience. Absolutely delicious. Sweet, comforting, and exactly what you want when you're eating at a place known for comfort food. Overall, classic Cracker Barrel vibes: big portions, familiar flavors, a bit of chaos, and at least one dish that makes you glad you stopped. I'd still come back, maybe just with a glass of water ready for that pot roast. Oh and of course to the gift shop that has everything under the sun. I made it out with some candy sticks, some bit-o-honey, since i haven't seen that candy in ages and some other classic candies.
