I would love to add a photo, but Im too busy munching on the bread. I make it a point to get to Lodi's Farmers Market weekly to restock my bread. I am so happy I asked about their brick-and-mortar this last week because once the Farmer's Market takes its winter break, I will be left without my favorite sourdough bread! The bread is perfect for sandwiches, dipping in my soup, or my morning toast. We plan to make the drive out to Ripon to try the sandwiches. I will update my review then. I live nearby and finally tried the cafe. They recently renovated so it was hard to tell exactly how the market will be when it's complete. From what I did see they have a nice variety of local organic foods, dairy, cheeses, and their fresh baked sourdough. I was able to try the cafe and it was really nice. The soup was amazing and it comes with their delicious sourdough bread and raw butter. I will go back again and again for soup. The avocado toast with burrata didn't travel well. It's quite the bougie avocado toast at $16. Pretty tasty but something else might be a little more up my alley. I will definitely be back to try other food options like the brunch menu (Fri/Sat). I'm not sure when the last time I came in here was but before, it was mostly a mini market with a small food selection area & now it's opposite. They're menu is pretty big, front & back with yummy selections, they have a little area for fresh produce/drinks/ small grocery items and a pretty decent sized seating area now! The food was super yummy, we had the strawberry bruschetta that had brie cheese and a little chocolate on top, and the southwest scramble on a thick piece of sourdough, both of them were super delicious!! :) Service was awesome too, a little bit of the wait for our food but that's totally okay because they give you a heads up that it'll take some time to make, as everything is freshly made! I have been coming to this place from Manteca once a week with my boyfriend for about 6 months. It is our favorite place to go to for quality food and consistently great customer service. There's no place like this market. Fresh flowers, fresh farm to table food, groceries you can't find in chain supermarkets and overall just a charming environment. This place is a gem! I've only had this place once and it was really good. It's a shame they no longer exist. :/ I wanted to try the breakfast/brunch. I don't really care for a tap house. When I ate here, the workers were nice and I believed that the owners prepared my salad. It was so good. I loved the bread. The tomato aioli on the sandwich in my photo was good, but I don't remember the name of it. Unfortunately, none of it matters because this place is gone forever. Could you atleast give us a recipe book or something to remember you by??? I have now been here on 2 different occasions and am happy to say I thoroughly enjoyed both my visits. They sometimes even have fresh flower bouquets on occasion! This place just opened in Ripon and there is no place like it. I'll be honest and say that I'm not really a "health nut", but was curious and wanted to try it out. You don't have to be a ultra conscious healthy person to enjoy this place (I hope that makes sense). My worry was that I'm not a person who's into that kind of "stuff" (quinoa, vegan cheese, etc.), not that I'm against it, I'm just not into it is all. I was happily surprised to find that the food was phenomenal in every aspect of the word, while also being extremely nutritious. A win win! Delicious food without compromising my health - woo hoo! So let's go over why I enjoyed this establishment so much: STAFF: On both occasions the staff were extremely kind, answered all my questions, and were very helpful. Just very approachable people who made me feel very welcome and comfortable. LOCATION: it's on a little strip with other mom and pop places in Ripon. Inside the store/restaurant everything was extremely clean, beautifully designed and very spacious. You just need to pop by and enjoy it for yourself. FOOD: The first time I came I ordered a bowl which was delicious, filling, and nutritious. The second time I ordered egg in a basket and split a breakfast bowl with my sister. There is a young guy who is very friendly, but he doesn't seem to be knowledgeable about their products. Twice he had to consult with a couple of ladies sitting in the dining area... mind you these ladies didn't seem very interested in helping customers or even the guy who was trying to get information from them. I was looking at their sourdough collection and nowhere did it say the bread was organic... so I thought I would ask anyway. Then the lady in the back again with complete disinterest stated they all are. Really? Why not just put a sign that your sourdough is organic? Her response oddly felt ingenuine. I didn't feel comfortable making a purchase and walked out. Who runs a business like that anyway? There are plenty of other places who actually want your business and will try to earn it. This market and cafe is so good. Things can be pricey but what clean-eating store isn't? The cafe pizzas served on Thursday and Friday's are so good. The crust is cooked perfectly and I especially like the fig and pig pizza. The market side sells these olipop drinks that I've thoroughly enjoyed. And right by the check out counter was a stand full of hu kitchen chocolate bars... my new favorite thing... except it's just so pricey. Could be great but lots of people sit inside in a confined space without masks on. The checkout process is an issue. The cashier is always busy with some other task they have to finish up before ringing you up even if you're literally the only customer in the store. Today I was first in line and the cashier was on the phone finishing up taking an order. A couple from the bakery walk over in view of the cashier and jump in front of me. Instead of ringing me up next she completely ignores that I was next and rings up the couple. They finish checking out. Now it's my turn again but the phone rings and she answers it and begins taking an order as if I'm not standing right there. I walked out. They've got three registers in the whole place but nobody whose primary job it is to run them. This place won't last long without improvement. While I do love having an actual healthy place to eat in town, I don't love that suddenly no one working here is wearing masks. It's disturbing to see someone preparing your food with their bare nose out knowing they could sneeze or cough all over it. Last I checked masks were still mandated so it's not really a good look for a new business and doesn't really inspire my confidence in the management or owner for allowing this considering it's illegal and could get them fined big time if someone were to report it (hint hint).
