We recently had KLEBS replace our 21 year old Trane with a newer 2 stage Lennox model. Our Trane had a few repairs over the past 4 months and decided to replace it instead of dealing with a potential broken furnace in the dead of winter. The quote was $5,121 with military discount of 5% and the new Lennox took about 2 weeks to come in and another 2 weeks to schedule an install. KLEBS sent over 2 installers both named John and both were very cordial, friendly and expert technicians. We would recommend using KLEBS who serviced our original TRANE they installed in 2005 and will continue to have them service our new LENNOX furnace as well. In one word - cheapass. Their installation technicians were amateurs. I had a baseboard system installed about a year ago. They left a mess behind including visible holes in my drywall in multiple places, scuffs on the wall etc. but what got me to come back a year later and write a review is how many problems I've had since then. The internal thermostat was installed in the wrong place, causing my heating system to improperly going into a safety shut off multiple times in the middle of winter, and they charged me to fix their own mistake. Today I discovered a leak caused by an improperly installed pex pipe that was cut inches too short, therefore jamming int the sharp metal cover. I would avoid Klebs at any cost for future work. read more

Like in all construction hiccups happen and Klebs flowed like water through any turbulence with grace and left us with our dignity by keeping us informed of any changes. I had a warranty for my furnace ( parts and labor), but had to pay up front and wait for my refund. Now, the warranty is actually through a different company. Who I spoke with numerous times. They were very concerned that I had to pay, because that's not how a warranty works. So I spoke with Rob Nelson, the gm, who said this is how it's always been because "they are not a bank" . He told me to get ahold of him December 3 ( work was done October 3) . Called December 3rd , still hasn't gotten my refund. The people at Johnstone Supply went above and beyond to fix this to get my refund, Klebs did NOTHING. In fact, they pointed the finger at Johnstone. Finally, in January , Johnstone got a reply from the parts/warrant company . Check was on its way. When I found this out, I called Klebs. Was told Rob was not in the office, when I asked to speak to someone els that could help me, the receptionist very rudely told me " No one is in and I was told to tell you your check is in the mail " Now, I get the warranty and that certain paperwork needs to be done, but when I originally bought my furnace, and my warranty this should have been explained. The fact that nobody at the company wanted to speak to me, or apologize for the wait or that they did nothing to help speed the process up is just unbelievable. This place is the biggest ripoff ever the lady on the phone said it would be $90 for someone to come out which seems like an amazing deal then Felix the repairman comes 2.5 hours late and cleans a sensor with sandpaper and boom heaters fixed I thought wow great work and no extra parts little did I know cleaning a sensor with sand paper is an additional $139 coming to a total of $229 don't use them unless you want a big surprise. read more

Called for a furnace inspection and cleaning for the sale of my home. $437 and almost 3 hours later, I would never recommend this company to anyone. He didn't do any repairs at all. He claimed that there appeared to be years of build-up from lack of maintenance. Hmmmm......we called 6 months ago and had one of their guys come out to replace the igniter wire. He cleaned it at that time because we were being charged for an hour and he thought we should get our money's worth. I guess it depends on who they send, but I don't recommend taking the chance. read more

I needed a new water heater in my garage but was also looking to gain space. Klebs replaced my water heater with a Rinnai Tankless unit and did a great job. The tankless was more expensive than a typical swap out but they did a great job. It looks clean and the install guys were courteous and professional. They showed me how to work it and set it up to an app on my phone. I am also getting quotes for a new furnace install and so far, their quote blows away the competition on price. Not sure that most of the people working here know what they are doing. 4 years ago they installed our hot water heater. They really messed up our fence in the process. 6 months later, they had to come back and completely redo the job, as it was winter and we could not get our living room above 50 degrees. Then, we had them install our hot water heater. We always thought the water seemed extra hot because it was new. NOPE. Installed wrong again. This install was a year and a half ago. We asked them to come out and fix the problem, and they said we were out of warranty. We informed them the install was wrong (the thermostat never did anything), and they quoted us prices to fix it. We said, "See you in court." read more

Buyer beware. Read BBB (bbb.org/reviews) reviews: 75% negative. Ask price to show up to look beforehand. Will jerk you around, not show up when promised, try to charge you overtime. Will leave to do something else when working on your project (keeping somebody else "happy" on their job that day?) Do your homework, get alternate bids. Get prices on model, BTU rating, equipment cost, labor cost, any other costs beforehand. May not finish job according to specs. Read and understand the fine print. Do not be rushed if it is an "emergency." Consider heating temporarily with electric heaters. You can be taken advantage of. Maybe you will get "dependable and professional" but don't depend on that. Our experience with Klebs was a nightmare. We hired Klebs to install a combi boiler/hot water heater, install two bathroom fans, and replace a hose bib. They scheduled us for two days in March, but then showed up understaffed. Two guys came out--one tech and one trainee who had only been on the job for a few days. The two techs were not able to complete the work in the two days. Further, they caused substantial damage to our home and property (scratched walls, left a door off the hinges, dented our fridge, tracked mud on our rug, utilized our bathroom extensively without cleaning up or even flushing!). We were told by the project manager--who was not on site while the work was performed--that the damage would not have occurred had he been there instead of at another job and had the project been properly staffed. After the two days, it took several weeks to get anyone from Klebs to come back out and finish the projects. (In fact, they never actually did finish the projects.) Promise after promise to finish the job, to make up for the damage to our home, and to replace a faulty part on our combi unit were continually broken. (Klebs did end up knocking $150 off our bill for banging up our brand new fridge, but refused to compensate us for the other damage, the fact that all of their labor failed and/or was not up to code, and refused to replace the faulty valve.) About a week after they installed the combi unit, we were without heat and hot water. We called Mountain Mechanical and they sent out a polite, professional, and knowledgeable technician right away. Within minutes, he was able to diagnose the problem. Klebs had failed to attach the exhaust vent to the system! They had just rested the exhaust vent in place, allowing exhaust (co2) to leak into our home instead of being directed outside. Because it was not attached, the vent was easily knocked out of place. And, without the vent in place, exhaust built up in the system, causing it to shut off. Mountain Mechanical properly attached the vent. A few days later, late in the evening, we were without heat or hot water again. Mountain Mechanical walked us through the error code and re-setting the unit over the phone at no charge. When the heat went out again the next day, Mountain Mechanical came out right away. Klebs had not correctly set the pressure/temp of the unit during install. Mountain Mechanical fixed Klebs error efficiently. Throughout the entire month-long ordeal, Klebs' representatives were rude, aggressive, and dishonest. They constantly gave us the run around, treated us with disrespect, and rested on their status as a corporation/business to intimidate and take advantage of us. We initially chose to hire Klebs after receiving three bids for the project because they were the cheapest and because they talked the talk when they were pursuing the contract. As soon as the deposit was received, however, this courteous customer service disappeared. Further, between all of the things we've had to have fixed (the above problems with our combi as well as having the hose bib and ceiling fan re-done), we've probably spent more than if we had gone with the most expensive bid. More importantly, dealing with such an unprofessional company and the damage they caused to our home cause us such stress and suffering, which definitely was not worth whatever money we thought we might save by hiring them. read more

I've used Klebs for over 20 years. They installed my boiler and have serviced it since day one. I have done minor repairs over the years myself. Two weeks ago my boiler went out so I called Klebs to have them come and get it going again. They have changed the way they do business in a big way and for the worst. After the diagnosis the repair guy gave me news I did not want to hear. If I fixed everything I was looking at an 1800.00 repair. While looking at the estimate I saw a charge over 500.00 to replace a power head on a zone valve. I was shocked because I have replaced those myself and the retail cost of the part at Central Plumbing is 75.00 and it's a ten minute replacement. After seeing that I felt they were ripping me off in a big way. I've bought and replaced those myself for 75.00 When I asked the service guy what the part cost for the 1,200.00 part of estimate was he wouldn't tell me.. He said Klebs does not tell customers the breakdown of parts and labor..again I was shocked, how could a reputable business not tell me how much a part was? Don't I as a customer have a right to know what I am paying for? I called the office and asked what the price of the part I was to buy cost. I felt I had a right to know what I was paying for....she said she would talk to someone and get back to me but they don't give parts breakdowns ....they never have called me back...the service guy was great. I had no problem with him as he was just doing his job. I will never call Klebs again for anything. They have gone from a reputable family business to a very shady company. This company doesn't have a sense of what customer appreciation means. They have had to return several times to fix their OWN work and each time they come, they take our money with them. I run my own small business and even though it is not in the same industry, business fundamentals are business fundamentals. The customers are to be taken care of 101% and it should always be done right the first time. Klebs is far from being anything about the customer and doing things correctly initially. The workers that have come out have been nothing but helpful, although the water tanks in which they install are not. It's almost as if they knowingly install these crappy products just to come back and make more money off of you. I have asked question after question, although no honest answer comes from these guys. I will definitely never recommend this company to anyone in my lifetime and I hope by writing this review, many people will see it and look for a MUCH better company as well. read more

Paid thousands for them to install new furnace and on-demand hot water heater. Their lack of expertise in all areas of the install forced them to come out 5 additional times. Exhaust pipes into roof were leaking water, adjustments to water heater were way off. 1 year later they had to come back out because the furnace wasn't working. I was told it was a condensation issue and they'd install a "t bar" to fix it. They insisted on payment regardless of the "great warranty" they claimed at the time of install. I found out several weeks later that the "t bar" should have been completed at install. I immediately asked for a refund in march 2015 and then asked again in May and June. Just hours before filing a small claims case (Aug 2015) they deposited that money back into my account with no apology, no communication. Some of their service guys seemed to be really nice, but I will never use this company again even for repairs to their own work. read more
