Klein Creek Golf Club is one of the worst experiences I ever had with a golf course. The place has poor management, the course is poorly maintained the cart kept dying out and Klein Creek is way over priced. We rained out, and they wouldn't honor our receipt for a full round on a return, they provided nine holes. The pro shop worker was extremely rude. When I drive by on county farm road on a regular basis, I rarely ever see people playing the course, I guess others recognize Klein Creek Golf Club shortcomings. So we never stayed to eat! read more

The brunch a few years back was really good. Had the brunch recently and it was kind of a joke. Weird variety of brunch items. You can order an additional omelette for an added price and they use kraft singles for american cheese... which is absolutely disgusting. The scrambled eggs were almost hard, no option for any waffles. Definitely not worth $17.95 for what you get. Waitress was nice and bubbly but kept saying it was opening day so IDK if that played a role in their food options, but I doubt it. read more

Outstanding Place!, I was able to see a great Pink Floyd Cover Band, what an amazing place, this is not your fathers golf club restaurant Pavilion. The "Tented Pavilion" that the concert was held in was, simply put, very beautiful, large open air design, with a state of the art heating, cooling and lighting system. Bathrooms are a match to any Top quality restaurant, spotless, organized and easy to access. The staff was very friendly, aware of empty glass/plates on tables and was on their top game. For starters we had the Filet Sliders..... Outstanding, very tender meat and cook to mouth watering perfection. Being Italian I had to try the Chicken Piccata, Only one word could describe it "magnificent" ! The food, staff and concert was most excellent! Check this place out for future concerts, dinner, drinks and oh yes, I understand their is a golf course also:) I give this place 5 out of 5 Stars and definitely recommend. read more

I would give this course 5 stars if the greens were consistently well maintained. This is a very challenging course that could be spectacular with more TLC and a GPS system.. They are adding more bunkers on 2012 on several holes to make the easier holes more harder. The pros: Lots of challenging and tight holes guarded by bunkers and water. Almost all of the water is on the right. Greens are nice and fast but are not very true because of the TLC issue. The Cons: No driving range; only practice nets. Geese droppings almost everywhere except on tee box and greens. The greens are replete with spotty colors, bumps, and divot marks. The course is not marked very well and they charge you $5 for a map...how petty. I paid only $28 in October in the morning which is a spectacular price. It's easily worth $40+. The 17th par 3 is over 200 yards and is completely surrounded by a 360 degree bunker and water--truly memorable. Play it once and you will remember how challenging it is. read more

So apparently the old restaurant is gone and now there's some thing in there called Angeli's. I was excited because we like Italian food and I figured it would be pretty good based on the reviews that I've been seeing when we walked in today and nobody acknowledged us first of all so after about five or 10 minutes, we inquired, and we were told we had to pay first and we didn't have to pay first I was already getting irritated, and really at that point should've walked out and listened to my gut instinct. The Buffet was so small and nothing compared to what the old Restaurant used to have for a similar price point and that food I have to tell you was off the chain good and you always left. Full. There was a chicken entrée, which was not even edible because you couldn't even cut through the chicken so I didn't even eat a bite of that. There were two pasta entrees, sausage and peppers, some sliced up bread with little butter containers And a house salad with vinaigrette only no other dressing options available. And if you tried to find somebody to ask about another dressing, good luck, most people choose ranch I believe that's probably the most popular dressing I would think. for the price of the buffet which is $17.95, both of us left hungry and neither of us were impressed by the food whatsoever. there is not a big variety of pastas. Both sauce with cheese on top just different noodles. There is not multiple salads only one house salad which even that wasn't eatable. Too bad I didn't have any drink to wash everything down that would've been nice. I didn't know that in a sit down restaurant where you're expected to leave What is it about 20 to 30% now for a tip that I would have to walk up to a bar and get my own drink and then tip a nonexistent person 30%. I don't think so. So I waited. I was asked how everything was at the end and they really did not want me to open my mouth so I just kept my mouth shut which was a very hard. This has to be probably the worst dining experience I've had in recent memory. there were no side items to speak of so what they're advertising on their Facebook page is not correct and for almost $40. We were extremely disappointed add to that the whole time we sat there nobody came around and asked us if we wanted anything to drink so we ate almost our entire meal actually we did eat our entire meal if you call it a meal (being that both of us barely took any food because it didn't look very edible and then when we did try to eat it, we didn't like it) we cleared our plates and finally we were able to get some water, there was an older lady walking around back-and-forth and all over the place and she's like did you guys want something to drink? I'm like well that would be lovely. I'm thinking in about 45 minutes ago! when we went up to Pay at the bar he said did you guys want any drinks? I said no, we're done eating?!? Both of us looked at each other like what the ?!?! I can tell you right now I don't think this place is going to make it The same older lady that asked about the water, saw some people sitting outside on the patio (at the only table that was occupied at the time), and asked the gentleman at the bar. Are they ordering anything and he said they're waiting for another person we were the only people in the restaurant and that was the only party on the patio. I don't know why they couldn't sit there. It's not like there were people beating the door down to get anything to eat and I don't think there will be any time soon. there's poor execution, no help, and if anybody likes this "food", more power to you but I can make pasta at home that tastes better and it's by far cheaper and I can have some thing to drink with my meal too! Unbelievably rude starter and ranger. Unfriendly pro shop staff. In 35 years of playing golf, have *never* had a starter or ranger be so inappropriate, unprofessional and completely unreasonable. We weren't even behind or playing slow. Bordered on harassment. Have never been spoken to on a golf course like that and these guys were both *yelling.* Stay away from this place, it's a joke. They think they're Augusta National. Far, far better golf options/experiences nearby (Cantigny, Arrowhead, Prairie Landing are so much better it's not even close). For those who aren't aware, Klein Creek got new ownership in August 2019. Since then the new owner has made dramatic improvements including all new bunkers with drainage and new sand, and all new cart paths. They also bought all new golf carts for the 2020 season, assuming we will have one after the coronavirus pandemic slows down. Oh, they also completely renovated the club house, banquet tent and kitchen. As a neighbor and frequent golfer there, I can't wait for the new season to begin once we get through this health challenge. read more

Under completely new management and staff so you can essentially disregard all prior reviews. I agreed with Carlo C.'s review from 2019 but things are completely different now. Both course conditions and staff are 180 degrees from what they were. We played the course last week and to say we were impressed would be an understatement. Course conditions were immaculate with new silica sand in many of the bunkers and the other bunkers being changed to strategic waste bunkers. Fairways were very well maintained and greens were quick, true and well tended. Food service was outside (Covid 19 restrictions) but very good and well priced. In all I can't say enough good about the venue. Regardless of what you felt before you should try it now. I think you'll be as impressed as I was. Or don't try it - more open tee times for me. read more

Although I'm not a golfer, the restaurant inside the golf club is a great hidden gem! The food is always fresh & delicious, the cocktails are great & they have a good happy hour during the week. I have also attended a bridal shower inside their banquet tent & it was beautiful. The party had a great buffet line up, a bartender in the tent, and the staff was all kind & helpful! Give this place a try if you haven't, you won't be disappointed!!! read more

New management is really improving this establishment! I cannot speak to the golf but the restaurant is continually improving and our most recent visit was the best so far. A new chef just started and there's a new menu. We had a Reuben that was possibly the best I've ever had. The meat and cheese were high quality, the ingredients were perfect ratios to one another, and their fries are always so good. They have specials almost nightly and now serve breakfast on weekends outside overlooking the pond. Definitely worth a visit! read more

Had a great experience at Klein Creek last Saturday for my birthday. Nothing but good things to say about the course/conditions. No issues with pace/play, and I'm definitely still a "beginner". The only negative feedback I have is around the lack of flexibility to reimburse me for the cost of my dad's round. He is a Klein Creek resident and over the age of 65, so when we attempted to get some sort of credit, we were told there was nothing that could be done. I understand that you can't make those two criteria an option when pre-booking on your website as everyone would select that to get the lower rates, but I would have appreciated something as small as a drink or dining token or something when we checked in to offset the charge. Shout out to who I think might have been the manager on duty for noticing my large party after we finished playing. Our wives and children showed up for lunch and the gentleman noticed us congregating down by the outdoor bar/patio. He offered us a nice large table upstairs outside the main dining room; took the time to get us all set up and even helped carry our stuff up for us. Outstanding service by the bartender - very attentive and helpful. Only complaint is my fried chicken sammy could have come out of the fryer a minute or two sooner. read more

This golf course has become a dump. It's overgrown with weeds. The sand bunkers have no sand in them, you'll hit out of pure dirt. Greens and tee boxes have been let go. My suggestion is save your money and go elsewhere until owners give this the much needed improvements and attention it needs. Schaumburg GC is a great example of a course that has done it's renovations right. read more

It's a shame too because this course has a ton of potential I remember when it used to be semi private. I understand the weather hasn't been the greatest so I will go ahead and excuse the fact that the tee boxes looked like they were grazing cattle on them they were so chewed up. What is absolutely inexcusable is the parking lot Asphalt they had in the bunkers that is supposed to be sand. How can you possibly have sand this hideous? I was afraid I was going to chip my clubs there was so many rocks in there. I will say the greens rolled nice and that's very important so I have to give them credit for that. Also, they knocked the price down to 54.00 so at least I didn't feel like the guy behind the counter had a mask and a gun. All in all I hope this course gets the facelift it needs soon. Minus the bunkers that were like hitting off a sidewalk and the greens that were just aerated(which I get is necessary), the course was in great shape and played very well. Challenging and forgiving course that can be played by most skill levels. Played on a Saturday afternoon in under 4 hours with no one pushing behind us and never had to wait at a tee box. Which is very rare for weekend golfing. The only thing holding back a five star rating are the following issues: 1) the carth paths are in serious need of improvement. 2) the bunkers are some of he worst I've ever played...and this course is full of sand. I've experienced better at courses that cost $20 for 18 holes and didn't expect this from a $80 a round course. 3) no driving range Great course overall though. Will be back soon. Side note..hit one of the best shots of my life there today...drove the green with a 5 iron from the tee on hole 15 which is a 320yd par 4 from the whites...not sure how I managed to do it but it 100% happened. Ended up with a birdie after my 25ft eagle putt stopped short about 2 inches. read more

I will preface this review by saying that my review is based solely on the banquet hall and service, the closest I get to golfing is put-put. With that said, last night my work had our holiday party at the Klein Creek golf club and we had a blast! From the moment my husband and I walked through the door, the servers were offering us very tasty hor d'oeurves. I would recommend the spinach and artichoke dip and the meatballs. Though we had a cash bar, the bartender did not skip on the liquor and soda, tea, and coffee were all included. I was particularly impressed with the food. The set-up was buffet style and I had the roast beef, roasted red potatoes, sauteed green beans, and salad with ranch dressing. It was all delicious; even the ranch dressing was good! I did not have any dessert but my husband said the coconut chocolate chip bars were his favorite and the coffee was great. The interior had a dark and intimate feel, highlighted by a huge wood-burning fireplace. Our party had a max of about 70 people and we all fit comfortably in the banquet room. For larger parties, there is a heated tent available that has the potential to look amazing when it is set up. My only complaint: the dance floor was oh-so-tiny. My co-workers and I over-flowed the dance floor. There was room enough to make it a little bit bigger! read more

My review is based on the banquet hall and going to a wedding reception here. The bar was fantastic, quick strong pours. I was happy that they left us have multiple drinks at a time and were flexible to our crazy requests. The food was great - tomato basil soup, green salad, chicken and beef with roasted potatoes and vegetables. It was a ton of food and all it was very solid. The service was quick and nice. We were in a tent, so the one bad thing was the temperature was very inconsistent. It would be cold, they would turn on the heat and then it would be way too hot. After the main reception closed down, we went inside to the bar for cash bar and nachos. It was exactly perfect for 12 oclock at night. The bartender was very nice and drinks were reasonable. Attended a Nine and Dine event and was very disappointed. The golf course is nice. Wide open play. But the scramble was very disorganized. It started 15 minutes late because the pro shop manager said there was another event on the course and we had to wait for them to finish. I've never been to scramble before where they make you wait because others are on the course. They didn't know what hole you would start at until just before we went on the course, so it wasn't in your cart. We were told to pick any cart, so they weren't lined up by hole. It was really very frustrating. We were told the price included two drinks, but they weren't any drinks. You had a choice of two punch drinks. To top it off, I couldn't use my ticket for club soda. They charged me $4! The food was ok. But at one point, the guy serving the roasted pig threw his prongs down on the ground and left! The very young waitress were non-responsive to customer service. Never came to clear off plates or ask for drink orders. The whole event felt like one hand didn't know what the other was doing. I would not attend another nine and done, nor would o recommend it. They have a lot of organizing and communicating to do! read more

Rangers and pro shop personal are extremely Friendly. I like how they keep roaming the course to keep the groups moving along nothing worse than slow golfers! I had a wedding reception at the banquet facility recently. The food was fabulous (as good as I've ever had at any event). The service was excellent. The cost was very reasonable/competitive. The "tent" setting gave a very romantic and intimate feel, while providing good air conditioned comfort on a very hot July day. read more

I golf a lot and this golf course is not worth your time. The bunkers are terribly maintained-basically just dirt, mud, or pebbles or some combination of the three. Came here on a Monday morning and left after 15 holes because after a decently quick front 9 we ran into a bunch of groups and it had taken 2.5 Hours to play 5 holes on the back 9. The groups in front of us wouldn't let anyone play through because they "had to be together." Cart path was also terrible, just to top it off. Not worth your time or money as there are so many other quality courses in the area. Not coming back here. read more

Klein Creek is back! I was able to get out and play under Covid conditions last Sunday, and I'm very excited for the resurgence of this place. They are putting a ton of money into making the course nice again, and it shows. The new sand traps are excellent, and the course itself is well taken care of. THEY ARE UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP, so old reviews are understandably critical. However, they now have a nice patio scene, and we spoke to the new owner for a few minutes, which made it clear that he understands what the locals are looking for. A family dining experience, outdoor gazebo with live music in the summer, fair prices and good food/bar scene. I for one, am very much looking forward to the renovations being complete, and Covid restrictions being lifted for the summer. Now, if I could only keep my drives out of the water..... read more

We ate lunch at the Klein Creek Golf Club Restaurant a week ago; food was very good and generous, and the servers pleasant, but we were the ONLY patrons, a big tip-off that there were some issues at this facility. We noted the grounds needed a LOT of work - an entire section of fencing in the outdoor eating area was detached, a danger because it was there to prevent anyone from falling in the pond below. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. The floor of the outdoor eating area really needed to be power washed and refinished. The carpeting on the stairways was frayed and threadbare, giving a very poor first impression when arriving at the clubhouse. The white wooden fences were sorely in need of a coat of paint (and scraping beforehand.) When going up and down the outside stairways, our hands stuck to the railings which shouted that they needed to be power-washed. This week we golfed in a group there, having played here a few years ago. The course has declined quite a bit in the last few years. Sand traps were hard with very little sand; tee boxes were OK; greens were slow and pock-marked from unrepaired ball marks. The halfway house was not open, although the beverage cart came around repeatedly. The men's room in the lower level of the clubhouse was totally disgusting. (This is a comment from someone who normally has no issues with semi-clean mens' rooms.) There is no driving range or practice area to warm up - granted not all courses provide that. How sad that this place has been allowed to deteriorate to such a degree, having played it when it was a great course. We will not be going back. read more

If I could use 0 stars I would. THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT YOUR MONEY HERE. My boyfriend, my sister, and my sisters boyfriend and I went there for the first time. Everything was fine at first. We booked the last tee time hoping we'd be able to take our time and out of respect, not back up the rest of the golfers. Weirdly enough, another party was behind us. We let them play through because again, we wanted to take our time. They ended up being very slow and we had to speak to someone. We spoke to the kindest ranger and he handled it very well. My boyfriend got a free (1) 9 hole punch card. With that being said, we booked the last tee time for last night. Our reservation had the notes that our first experience was not well. My boyfriend gave MATTHEW the card and the other player had payed his $35. So we were all set. Well, as we're buying a bunch of food and drinks, MATTHEW runs down the stairs and asks us for $40. $20 for me and $20 for my sister for a "RIDE ALONG FEE" my boyfriend was kind of confused and shocked and gave him cash because he just wanted to pay. My boyfriend kept thinking about this ride along fee all night as we DID NOT have to pay that the last time we went. As if that extra $40 wasn't bad enough, we had TWO parties behind us riding our ass. Parking right behind us when we're in the middle of a hole. Skip a couple holes and my boyfriend is trying to get ahold of a manager to ask about this fee. MATTHEW gets all cocky and tries to handle it, he did not. My boyfriend asked if he could meet us at the hole we were at to get an explanation because we didn't want to waste our $100+ of food, drinks, golf, and golf balls. Skip MATTHEWS attitude the whole conversation and basically dissing HIS OWN BOSS and his booking skills, MATTHEW REVERSES ON HIS GOLF CART as my boyfriend is speaking to him!!!! MATTHEW needs to either (a) needs to be put in check by an owner or (b) get fired because he has ZERO respect for their customers. I hope this review helps someone in choosing a golf course. read more

Nice fish fry! Great price for the all you can eat cod dinner. Maybe a bit too much starch ..fries, hushpuppies, corn fritters and fried fish. Fish was prepared nicely. Coleslaw needed a bit more dressing..kind of dry. Soup was great ..tomato basil,creamy. Clam chowder was a bit too thin. Drinks very reasonably priced. All in all, try it, you'll like it.
