I know I know I know it's always the regulars who say it's great, but it's true! There's a Christmas party happening right now and it's super busy and loud but the service is still great. Hot food, cold beer, and no long waits. I love a place that still gives water without asking. They treat every customer like they're important. Other bars could take a lesson from Warren's staff. Wow, this meal was rough. I'm giving it 2 stars because my daughter loved the chicken strips on the kids menu and our server was so kind!! (Don't worry we tipped her ) But the food, ugh. My husband and I had the steak frites and the steak was literally swimming in a watered down A-1 steak sauce. It soaked into everything and we left most of it on the plate. And the fries were so greasy they were mushy. Can't speak for the burgers or anything but avoid the steak and maybe ask for every sauce on the side! read more

I stopped by on a Monday afternoon with my two girls and we shared a lunch special flatbread and kid's meal. My lunch special was the godfather flatbread with charred pepperoni, crumbled sausage, and hot honey. I requested for the hot honey to be served on the side and substituted the salad for the day's soup, chicken rice. They were very accommodating with both requests. The girls had cheeseburger sliders with fries, applesauce, and lollipop. They inhaled their sliders and fries but they did not care for the applesauce. We stopped by on a Monday afternoon and the place was absolutely empty. We accidentally went through the back door and had to double check with the person working to make sure they were open since it was so empty. Eventually one other group of guys came to sit at the bar but it still seemed very slow. We started with the whipped feta appetizer. Honestly, it was a big disappointment. It was basically a melty soup with mediocre pita bread. I was expecting something more whipped or spreadable. I visited Warren's Ale house with my husband. We were disappointed. I ordered the chicken sandwiched and we were told about the side options. husband ordered the burger. The food itself was fine for me, chicken was fine. My husband felt the burger was a bit overcooked but overall ok. We ordered the chicken soups with supposed rice - there was chicken but no rice. They were small. The server was very kind and pleasant. When the bill came the pricing was much higher than the menu - we were told that the soups were additional extras at several dollars on top of the meal. We were surprised to be charged almost $3 extra per meal for tiny disappointing soup. We were also charged an extra dollar for a tiny side of mayo - I'm sorry but who charges a dollar for a tiny side of mayo? Overall the experience was disappointing. We had a scheduled visit to the MAC @ COD and saw that Warren's Ale house was just 5 minutes away. Earlier this year I missed meeting some friends there for some friendship, so it was on my mind. Got there just after noon on a Thursday. Great decision for a casual lunch. Got seated right away, hot outside but comfy cool inside. Had some time reviewing the menus, one for drinks another for food. We ordered up some draft beers and then decided what we were going to eat. I got the Warren burger with bacon and fries. My daughter got the beef egg roll. Both of our meals were prepared perfectly and pretty quickly. Our server was great also, checking on us and attentive. This was a great casual lunch. It fit our time frame for Hokusai at the MAC. If you get a chance to go there, you won't be disappointed. read more

Hubby had the shrimp tacos. Friend had the short tribe grilled cheese. Son had the kids cheeseburger. I really liked my sandwich. Hubby's shrimp tacos were excellent. Friend liked his grilled cheese and the beer he ordered. Son's kids cheeseburger looked good and it came with a side of applesauce and a lollipop for dessert. Really the only sports bar in Wheaton (though leaning into that would be better decor wise). The Italian beef egg rolls are my daughter's favorite. The food and overall ambiance were solid. Clean execution, nothing trying too hard. Service, however, landed in a slightly awkward middle ground. The young guy, who seemed to be around sixteen or seventeen, behind the bar wasn't rude, but he also wasn't exactly dialed in. He had that "first week on the trading floor" energy: trying, but clearly still building his people skills. Not a deal-breaker, just noticeable. The ambiance was poor, your feet stuck to the floor, the ladies room was dirty, sticky and no toilet paper in some of the stalls. A friend and I came here for dinner on a recent Sunday night. The space is large so although there were some people it wasn't terribly noisy or crowded feeling. We started with the crispy pork belly appetizer which was presented kind of strangely: it was sort of a puck of pork, perhaps fried we thought, and was actually a bit hard and dry on the outside; only once you got to the core did you reach that pork belly consistency that you think of. This was accompanied by mango salsa, but I thought it might have benefitted from a juicier sauce to offset the dryness. For our entrees, we both had sandwiches: the Burgatory (burger with goat cheese and lemon aioli; very tasty!) for me and the Prime Time prime rib sandwich for him. These were accompanied by some tasty shoestring fries; this type of fry has to be pretty good to win me over (the problem with them is that they get cold quickly) but we both liked them. Our server, Mariann, was very nice and made a lot of suggestions when we were dithering over the menu. There are other things I would like to try so I am sure I will be back! read more

Apps: Italian beef egg rolls: delicious but quite the kick. We are wimps on the spice scale. Potstickers: Has a nice amount of thai chili and soy sauce drizzled on top served over a bed of cabbage. I wasn't a fan of the vegetable stuffing inside, tasted like coleslaw to me. My 8 year old daughter liked them though. Compost salad: I like how different this salad is to any others out there. I am over the usual chop salads so this was a refreshing change. Steak on top was so tender. Only thing is I wish is that the dressing is served on the side and not tossed. Warren Melt: holy cow this is good! We subbed mushrooms for onions and no calabrian peepers because we were told they are spicy. Good food and great service! They ask that we wear mask when not at the table and when the wait staff comes to the table. There are tons of TV screens around the restaurant and bar showing different kinds of sports. They offer a variety of craft beer on tap. Their $14 Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich had a nice kick and comes with a side. The $7 potato pancakes was delicious and went well with the side of apple sauce. The highlight of the night was the $8 Strauben (street funnel cake) from their Octoberfest menu. These were presented as deep fried dough sticks with a side of chocolate dipping sauce. 1st time back since the reboot. Not a fan of the new menu. Slim down menu with odd selections. Our entire part not impressed with the menu. We had a party of 8 dishes came out at different times. A simple burger was brought out almost raw then when returned it still wasnt cooked correctly and most of the fries were cold. We were with a large group of about 20 people. We had made a reservation in advance and they had our tables all set up for us. The friendly staff did a fantastic job and food and drinks were excellent. Our server was super efficient and was able to do separate checks for everyone. I don't know how he kept track of everyone as many of us were getting up and walking around but he did. I had the naan chicken flatbread which was excellent. Several in our group had burgers which received rave reviews. The overall atmosphere in the restaurant was very festive. They also have an excellent beer selection. read more

I really like this place! We had gone to Jack's Pumpkin Glow and didn't want to pay for Half Acre out of a plastic cup and this place was only a few minutes away. Finding it at night is a bit tough: if you go around the circle it is in the last corner before you get to the exit (I think it is next to a Talbots). The inside is BIG, lots of great beers on tap and a nice menu for food. We ended up getting 5 oz tasters until the end. Our favorites were the Maplewood Beyond Neon and Founders Green Zebra; IMO the Beyond Neon is among the best IPAs I ever had (not a fan of NEIPA or West Coast IPA). We also split the sausage and cheese appetizer, which we loved. The waitress was excellent, the place was not busy but that seems to be out of the norm. The big answer is if we world come back? The hostess first off was horrible. She walks us past everyone to a back room where there's absolutely no one back there. I also specifically asked if certain items were on the things that I ordered I was told no and when they arrive they're loaded with the ingredient that I don't want and cannot eat and of course you can't get anybody to help you and they make you feel bad if you say anything so $13 for something I couldn't eat and I left hungry The other item I got had no flavor and I couldn't eat it at all but nachos are like so boring. It's literally like some cheese sauce with some hard to eat chips and corn salsa. The server was OK the blind hostess at the front needs a big attitude adjustment like a really big attitude adjustment. We got nasty glares walking out and an attitude walking in. Would I return? absolutely not in fact the table next to us sat down and got their waters looked at the menu and they're like we're leaving and walked out well because there's hardly any food to be had on the menu Don't forget the 3% fee for card usage! And when we walked in today, there were clipboards and loose credit cards, sitting by the door and debit cards, and there were seven of them in today's day and age. It's not very smart.
