I asked a member of the Deli department if any were available. The gentleman looked for the item in the freezer. He did not find the pepperoni. However, another member found the item and quickly prepared the item. As I checked out all my items and left the store, a third employee wished me a nice day. I am going to go forward with thinking the information as an isolated incident which is why I think I have been discriminate against. This whole thing was just horrible to have to go through just to try to my medication and frankly illegal since I was forced to use medicine that was past its use by date which may I add is medical malpractice, and again illegal. Today was the first time I'd seen her working an actual cash register, which might explain why there was a supervisor there with her. What offended me was how she immediately grew impatient and talked down to me as though I didn't know what I was doing when the credit card machine refused to read my card properly. The cashier --- who doesn't look a day over 16 --- assumed it was my error and started barking orders at me, even though I was doing everything according to the instructions. She even went so far as to try to yank my credit card from me. Mind you, I'm 64 and this wasn't my first time operating a retail credit card machine. in fact, I've worked in retail using them. So, to have a teenage brat talk down her nose to me was over the line. And her supervisor was no better, noticeably avoiding me after that exchange, till the very last second as I departed when he finally looked up and muttered an awkward "goodbye" or something of the sort. I didn't report her, as I could have. But another incident like that and I won't hesitate to make a scene.
