I came in here for a few grocery items. The parking and lack of calm driving becomes stressful during peak hours at times. This location is hit or miss with stocking and fresh produce. I was in and out but that is not normally a true timing as lines can get down the aisles with an hour wait to check out; making navigating throuhj the aisles and store shopping challenging. The staff for the most part are very helpfull and respectful. The store is tidy for the most part with carts constantly being collected from the outside and placed in the designated area. I would say the choice is yours but have a positive outlook and patience if deciding to shop here. read more

This review is based on my experience with online ordering for grocery pickup. I'm not sure why I continue to trust that online grocery ordering is going to get better at this location. It hasn't. Yet, this is my neighborhood Giant. I've ordered groceries for pickup multiple times and my order is usually not ready until an hour or more later after my scheduled pick up. Today it was not ready until 2 hours and 23 minutes later. They did call this time to say it would be late by ONE hour. And then they made a horrible cost ineffective substitution that they did not give me an option to reject. I usually order on the weekends with 4 or more hours between pickup and order placement. I've also ordered for pickup on a weekday evening and I waited for 45 minutes one time. read more

Customer Service - they employ mostly "oldies" who aren't goodies ... impolite, unfriendly, unpleasant just to name 3 work characteristics displayed. Came in for a quick groceries trip to buy a few things. It was a little bit busy being around the holiday season. Looks like a store needs a little attention. It had a few broken bottles in a few of the aisles. It look like they had been sitting there for a while. I'll chalk it up as they were just too busy around the holiday time to get to it and hopefully my next visit will be better. Giant is always my go to spot for groceries. Great deals and self check out make all the difference. I like to get fresh fish from this location and shrimp. The seafood team is super helpful and always delivers a smile and friendly service. Produce is fresh here and there are several organic options. Shelves are well stocked and food looks good. Not wilted or bruised like some other local grocers. I love that there is a Starbucks here with a full set up and also the ready made food options and florist are located in the same area as the Starbucks. Really enjoy shopping here! read more

We went here this morning for the purpose of stocking up on some non-perishable items that are a much better price than at anywhere we shop in Manhattan. Not only were we very pleased with the selection, but the store is huge and beautifully laid-out. Also, a very friendly employee helped us find an item and the cashier was also friendly. read more

Definitely my least favorite Giant. I mean St. Thomas was no grocery heaven but it was better than this place. My biggest issue is with the produce. Every item I'm interested in (broccoli, asparagus, avocado, berries, onions etc) are always moldy or on the verge of being moldy. I understand there is a larger selection to keep up with but I would think there would be more staff to keep on top of these things. The seafood department is nice when all of Owings Mills isn't there. Which is never. The rest of the store is okay. There's a Starbucks and a PNC, neither of which I've been to. I'll still gladly pass this location to go to CherryVale Giant. read more

This Giant is amazing!! My fiancé and I visited this location to do a little grocery shopping while we waited for our son to get his hair braided. I haven't shopped at Giant in years, personally I prefer Shoppers, but I am glad I came here. I have never been to a Giant with such a large produce selection. Everything was so fresh. They even had fruit that you wouldn't find in another supermarkets. We were able to purchase so many healthy fruits and vegetables for our juices and smoothies. We are currently on a 30-day no meat diet and I was surprised to find such an expansive aisle of alternative options. Healthy treats, meatless options, etc. I really wish this location was closer to me, because it would definitely be my new market of choice. I live just outside of Catonsville, so this Giant is out of my way. But, whenever I am in the area, I will be back! read more

I am not a fan of this new store. The store is BIG, which is a good thing. But, the isles are abnormally long. So if you are planning of just making it a quick trip, be prepared for lots of walking. The staff members are 'ok' at best. Most of them seem to not really want to engage. During the Covid-19 scare, the shelves were empty!! Most other stores had signs posted to deter people from buying "too many" of the same product. I never saw such signs here. The parking lot is a real nightmare, but I guess the company that designed the shopping center is to blame for that fiasco. While there are many parking spaces, the ability to access those spaces is slim. The driving lanes are too small and full sized vehicles will have a tough, yet manageable, time maneuvering through the parking lot. read more

The whole point of online pickup is to avoid long wait times. I put in an order at noon to pick up between 6-7pm. I pull up at 6:30 and they tell me my order isn't ready and I should come back in an hr. I give them an hour and a half and call and ask if my order is ready and they tell me yes so I head over there. I get there and call and they tell me they will be out shortly. Usually they are fast but it's taking longer than usual so I call again. I ordered early and set a specific time because I am on a time constraint. She proceeds to tell me they are having technical difficulties and she needs another 15-30 minutes. WHY TELL ME MY ORDER WAS READY IF IT WASNT?! I went to Giant twice in 3 hrs and they couldn't get it together. She asked if I wanted to cancel and I said yeah. I needed that stuff by tonight. The inconvenience is astronomical. read more

Owings Mills Giant gets 5 stars from me today. Def not for their prices but today an employee came on the intercom and sang Happy Birthday to a customer that was 81 years old! Thought that was so cool and I've never seen anything like that before while out shopping for groceries. Especially in today's society where you rarely see acts of kindness like that. It made the 81 year old's day. Lots of customers were walking up to her wishing her happy birthday. Glad I was there to witness that. Shout out to whoever that employee was. I like the new location in terms of the different stores located within the strip mall. However, the addition of these stores does create some congestion in and around the area. Nevertheless, ample parking is available. The store is clean. The produce department is much larger in this location and I like how the seafood and deli departments are located in an almost open concept design, so they can both be seen upon entering the store. I have been pleased with the quality of my seafood purchases during my two visits. The one thing that I did find a bit annoying is the way they receive cash payments at checkout. Just like an automated teller machine, the money is fed through a location under the conveyer belt. Unlike an automated teller machine, the money has to be fed one by one. This was quite a drag the other day because the customer had a number of $20 bills. I think the location of the money machine is improperly placed especially for those who may have difficulty bending or seeing. Initially, I thought this was a good technological advancement, but not necessarily for the customer, but more so for the business to account for every dollar without counting it or experiencing any impropriety. I would definitely return just not during peak hours. read more

So I'm going to give the Deli department 5 stars. This store is new and very clean. I think Giants is pretty expensive compared to other stores but I had a wonder experience. I called to place an order for a full Thanksgiving Dinner. When I picked up my order I was a little surprised to see that the items were items I could have gotten off the shelves myself. But I have no complaints. This post is really about the Turkey. When I picked it up it was frozen. I thought it was going to be ready to serve. Anyway, I saved the Turkey for Christmas. I followed the directions and thawed the frozen Turkey 3days in the refrigerator and the placed it in the oven. I did rub some Olive Oil with Parsley and Rosemary on the Turkey. When it was ready I let it rest for 2 hrs and OMG. The Turkey was so delicious and juicy. I was very surprised and really happy because I had no other meat to serve but the Turkey and I was not disappointed!!! Try it out. You won't be disappointed it was pretty good. My family and I are from out of state. We decided to stop by today (2/22/20) at 12:30 pm for lunch. You know, grab a salad and a bite to eat. Well, I went to the prepared salad cooler and a produce guy was RIGHT there doing his job. I was standing next to him and I didn't even get a side ways glance from him. Well I walk away after a few minutes and come back because I really wanted salad. I proceed to squeeze between him and the door and withot looking at me asks me what I want. I tell him and he hands it to me and proceeds to do what he was doing. Wow! Then my family and I went to self check out and the lady working there didn't even make eye contact with us. This is my 3rd visit since it's Grand Opening and I am still site seeing in this place, it's HUGE!! Which is a definite benefit you can cruise the aisle at your own pace because there's truly a lot to see and not run one single person over with your cart. The added additions and variety is great! The cheese island is my FAVORITE!! I'm going to visit so many places just by buying cheeses from all over the world but this place is super clean, shelves have been FULL and neatly stacked each time I visited, good sales still... I was wondering about the sales but Giant is still keeping its good sales reputation in tact. This store won't disappoint, I'm so glad it expanded right here in my neighborhood. Ran into Giant to pick up green peppers and onions. There was a gentlemen stocking the prepackaged vegetables. I Kindly said excuse me may I get the prepackaged fajita's. The gentlemen was rude and nasty and body gesture was unacceptable. I wish people like that didn't work in the public. He didn't have a name tag on. Nasty older gentlemen. Today, I went to this Giants to purchase some dinner items. I brought two items from the bakery ,along with some other items and went to the self check out. After having difficulty in finding the bakery selection on the checkout screen, and making my payment, I turned and realized that the "check out monitor " was standing behind me making sure I paid for my items. As man in his 60's, who has a lifetime in law enforcement, I was insulted that I was singled out as I made my transaction. What was even more ridiculous I believe the monitors are trained in this manner. IF you dont scan the item and place it in the bag, the weight wont match your total. An audible sound emits notifying the shopper to scan the item. There were two women at the other end of the checkout counters with a problem that were waiting,but the monitor was too busy watching me to help them. There is nothing in Giant that I can not afford. I live nearby and will go to Wegmans for my groceries or other needs instead of being surveiled while I am checking out. Im done with them. For a $16.29 sale, they have lost a local customer. When I returned home I found that the corn bread I purchased was moldy. Smh read more
