AJ has the best prices in Fountain and his staff is friendly and helpful. The store is a little tight, but that keeps it budget friendly.

Been shopping here for quite a long time and its always been decent enough for a trashy liquor store. But today I walked in and apparently the owner thinks he's the one person that doesn't need to wear a mask. Turned around and walked right back out and I will not be shopping there again. read more

Veterans Stay Away! I used to like this place as a vet friendly, nice staff close to the house - never again! Staff was rude unhelpful and then because of my bad back and military disability accused me of being drunk because I walk pigeon toed. read more

I will always go here. You can tell that the people who work there actually enjoy their jobs. They are nice and will carry a conversation with you, they remember you, they help you. They offer great advice if you don't know what you're in the mood for. They also offer drive thru. Overall, great customer service. I only wish the store was a little bigger (but they make do!). read more

We have gone here quite a few times as it is close to our house but this time will have been our last. The female cashier gave us major attitude for no apparent reason. When we got to the counter I was already fumbling with my wallet to get my ID out for her. She rolled her eyes at my husband and I and angrily asked for our ID's. After giving her our ID's I mentioned that my birthday was in the back of my military dependent ID and she responded with a rude comment about how she already knew that. She pretty much ignored us the whole time we were at the counter only talking to another employee. Then she handed me the receipt with no words. My husband told her 'you're welcome for the business' as we were walking out and she yelled back that she wasn't going to thank us for anything. I'm not sure if she had something against us because my husband is a service member or what, but I couldn't believe the treatment we received. read more

My husband came in to try a new place. First time in. He was looking at beer when a vendor needed to get by with a dolly so he scooted back out of the way as much as he could. A second dolly came through and he did the same but this time he tripped over a box left on the floor causing 2 bottles to fall and break. The guy working didnt even ask if he was okay or injured in any way BUT did tell my husband he had to pay for 1 of the bottles. Terrible customer service and won't be shopping here again read more

Stopped in quick with a friend who lived 5 minutes from this liquor store. We took her car to the store and I left my wallet in my car since I wasn't planning on buying anything. She just wanted to to grab something for her and her husband. We walk up and the "angry ginger" mentioned in a prior review sure enough was there. The friend stops by this liquor store with her husband and they like the place because of two kind other guys who work there. This woman was being nasty towards us, giving us attitude because I forgot my ID. I kept stating I wasn't planning on drinking or anything because I still had to drive 45 minutes north to my place right after. We kept pleading with her "if I get my ID, can we come back?" "It'll be quick, I don't live far" (friend said this). But she was just awful and snarky to us the whole time. An absolute stranger behind us said "well if you're not going to sell it to them can I buy it!?" And she snapped at her "hell no" thinking she was going to buy it for us. She even says "I don't even know them, it's for me". We left at this point then came back with the IDs pretty quick and the same lady behind us told us as she was leaving that the angry ginger still gave her an attitude thinking she was associated with us but NEVER CHECKED HER OR HER GIRLFRIENDS ID. The cashier even told her "i know you're helping them" and she reiterated AGAIN she didn't even know us. We couldn't believe it. She clearly had it out for us. So we went through the drive thru this time where this gentleman came to help us. He's helped my friend before so we didn't think we were going to get bad service. Then he says "I'm sorry ladies but I can't help you. She's the 'acting manager' and says because of your attitude earlier we're refusing service." But we kept saying we didn't even have an attitude!! We were trying to find something to make the situation work but she just refused to help us for no reason! She just mentioned to him the woman, who we still didn't know, just happened to leave when we came back and told us she was sorry she treated us like that and wanted to make sure to let us know she wasn't asked for her ID. He said, "I know I know you and you're a good person but my hands are tied because she's the acting manager right now." So we ended up leaving. We just were honestly surprised at how poorly we were treated for NO REASON. If we, two adult women, were treated horribly by this person, who else has she treated like that? How many other customers were lost because of this woman? And how many of them never mentioned it? The owner might need to reconsider who the acting manager is, because if it continues to be someone like that, your business WILL go under. read more
