We had a beautiful time at Klocke Estate at the Chronogram September Issue Release Party. The staff at Klocke Estate kindly hosted a private Golden Hour Happy Hour with cocktails, beer and small plates for purchase, and the option to connect with other readers while enjoying their gorgeous views and the breathtaking sunset. Cannot imagine not making a dinner reservation in the future. Signed, The Happy Hour Huntress

I was in the area with two girlfriends and Klocke was recommended to us by someone we'd met as a lovely location to enjoy some drinks. We decided to check it out! The drive there is absolutely lovely- we were there in the fall, so the leaves were all changing colors and the scenery was lovely. When we arrived, we weren't sure what the set up was- we had been thinking it was more of a winery where you could grab a glass of wine and pick a seat, but we found it was a restaurant with a gorgeous bar area as well. So we requested a table in the sunshine which was so wonderful. We ordered several kind of wine as well as the Klocke Estate flight to sample. Everything was quite tasty! We also ordered the three cheese board and the Little Gems to share. It ended up being a perfect little snack and beverages stop in a beautiful location. I'd love to go back to enjoy a full meal there- the plates coming out to all the other tables looked amazing!

4.5 If you enjoy a beautiful setting, modern-classic interior, great presentation, and tasty food, this is your place. You enter the property and drive up a winding road to reach the top. Once there, you're greeted by a hostess, and you see a stylish bar ahead, with views of the vineyard and mountains through the windows. Everything is beautifully prepared. We started with some cocktails before dinner. Both drinks were prepared meticulously. Our server, Abigail, was super friendly and helpful. She explained the dishes in detail and gave great recommendations. We got the cheese plate and roasted carrots to start, followed by the halibut, pork chop, and crispy potatoes. Everything looked amazing and was seasoned and cooked well. My only complaint is the 14% operations charge. The food is already priced higher than other places in the area. Yes, the ambiance and views are exceptional, but with the operations charge and tip, you're essentially paying around 35%, which feels a bit excessive.

Klocke Estate is a lesson in perfection. The location perched on a hilltop overlooking Columbia County will take your breath away.. come here around sunset and it's a life altering memory/ thing of beauty. The space itself is gorgeous and welcoming. The customers are all lovely because who isn't so happy to be there? The food and service is the chef's kiss (pun intended). Had the Mayonnaise eggs, the baked camembert and the duck confit salad with the espresso ice cream for dessert. All spectacular but I must say the duck was some of the best confit I've ever had (and I've had a lot). I was so busy devouring the duck I forgot to take a picture of it. This place is a 12/10.

The drive up is spectacular, gave a Napa vibe.

Everything was so beautiful. The inside was gorgeous! The outside, I could sit outside for hours! I definitely recommend this spot. Loved it!

    DELICIOUS fall based dessert!!

If you are looking for a special night out or a fancy style meal, this is the place to go. I wish I could say it would be an every day spot, but the prices just don't allow for that. That being said, that is NOT a complaint, they are matching prices to quality. The higher the quality the more you pay, so no complaints there. There is a WIDE selection of spirits available which makes for an amazing pre (or post) dinner cocktail experience. The food did NOT leaving me wanting for more (I just wish I had saved more room come time for dessert) Of course we still ordered the desserts, but could not enjoy them to the max, because of our full tummies! AGAIN,...NOT a complaint!! My only concern is that driveway.....I hope they have plans to make the restaurant a bit more easily accessible come snow time!!!

Went to the Easter Brunch this morning. We had a windy but bright sunny day. The views were beautiful and if in the right seats, you get a great window view of the panoramic scenery. The prix fixe menu we ordered from had fresh fruit and a breath/muffin, biscuit , croissant combo with delicious butter and jam. We each ordered a cocktail. The white vermouth spritzer was refreshing and the Bloody Mary was delicious. I ordered the pesto, hen of the wood toast point and my brother ordered the grilled carrots. We selected the pesto cavatelli with ramp, asparagus and peas and the duck confit hash brown with poached eggs, as or main entree. We shared and the two complemented each other. We finished with coffee. The waiter was friendly and helpful and very attentive. The whole experience was very enjoyable. We hung around afterward for a tasting and listened to Kristine talk about the history of the place. I ended getting the white vermouth to take home. Will definitely come back during different seasons to see the various changes in surroundings

The bar tender, Noah, was impressive and friendly in that he knew his liquor stock very well, and could explain the flavor intricacies of the various types of bourbon, vodka, and gins. They also offer some non,-alcoholic beverages for the "designated driver" of the group too. We watched Noah make everything from regular and "dirty martinis" with fresh ingredients, as well as one drink where he used a butane lighter and some tiny cedar chips in a straining tool above the drink to give it a fresh, authentic smoky look and flavor. Noah knows his stuff!!!!! The patrons were friendly, diverse, and easy to socialize with if you chose to do so. The establishment is pet friendly for "socialized pets" with a water bowl outside the establishment and some free Milkbone treats inside. Keep in mind that this establishment is a "tasting room" with the majority of products from the New Scotland Distillery, but there are other options. Just don't expect to get a Bud Light Draft or food here. The only downside is that parking in the Lark Steet and State Street location is difficult to obtain without some effort, but we managed to park our vehicles 2 blocks away. This is not a direct criticism of the establishment because the experience is well worth this minor potential inconvenience. We would definitely go back there again, especially for the specialty drinks or the flights and half flights of their bourbon and vodka products. Thank you once again, Noah, for a pleasant and educational evening!!!

We had fun plucking zennias ($.50 each) and wanted to see the sunflowers but did not get a chance to since we saw lightning. Within ten minutes of seeing lightning, a heavy thunderstorm began, which we waited out in the cidery, which is in a large barn. There were three bathrooms and a shared sink. There were also lots of snacks, ciders and spirits available for purchase. You could even buy crackers / cheeses / meats to make your own charcuterie board! It looked like there was a private event while we were there as well as another private event in the evening. I only tried the Kitchen Sink cider which I honestly didn't like at all, but at least the packaging was nice! I also have to give a shout out to the people working at the stand near the parking lot for giving me a free sunflower stem since I didn't get a chance to pick one!
