This bakery is amazing!! It has a mom and pop feel and the workers are incredibly friendly! The pastries and breads are made fresh every day and the quality of the food shows it!! Support local guys! Skip the line at Starbucks and Panera and stop by this little shop tucked into the corner of the shopping center with the karate center and DMV. Everything is made in house and you can definitely taste the love. The cheese and cherry danishes are my favorite but they have a nice variety of pastries, cookies, muffins, all of your favorites. Love stopping in to grab a loaf of bread and pastry. Always excellent and friendly service. A nice selection of used books for sale too! Its a great place to just have coffee and chill or to grab and go. My only complaint is that they should stay open more often (closed for January! argh.... well, probably good for my waistline...). Strait to the point, the Best Pastries, Lemon Bars, Pies, and some Shortbread Ring that was the best pastry I have eaten since I lived in Denmark. Real sugar, real butter, one bite and you can taste the quality. French bread is perfectly chewy. Customer service is like the pastries just superb and the prices are just right so you can indulge. Great find! The strudels are delicious with perfect flaky, crispy pastry and an assortment if fillings. The cheese danish, cinnamon pastries and chocolate croissant are all wonderful. The ham and spinach croissant was baked with bread dough rather than pastry, which I did not expect, but the filling was still good. The prices are much more reasonable than at the more famous Arvada area bakeries, so you don't have to think twice about picking up goodies for work or to enjoy yourself. The owner often opens before 7 so you can grab coffee and a pastry for the commute. read more

This is a hidden gem! I've been in twice and gotten multiple things to try - never to be disappointed. The bear claws are so light and flakey, and the coconut macaroons are massive and perfect for a coconut lover. Today we tried the lemon bar - big enough for two of us, and the spinach and cheese croissant - flaky, big, and so good! This place makes their own loaves of bread too, and serves some basic coffee/tea options. The prices cannot be beat - all the pastries are $2 and and under. read more

How am I just discovering this place??!? Absolutely amazing pastries. They have something called a "Shortbread Braid" which is buttery shortbread braided with puff pastry. Yes, I know. Genius. And their crispy cinnamon roll (I think it was called an elephant ear) was delicious. We stopped in yesterday right before they were to close. They still had numerous treats to choose from! The girl was super friendly and helpful and offered a sample. I love pastry as I lived in Europe as a child, and have fond memories of walking to local bakeries for treats with my family. This place has pastry that reminds me of those small town bakeries. Dough is light and flaky, cinnamon is pronounced, and everything tastes fresh. No shortcuts, and they even offer some treats with prune- very European. I wasn't able to taste that however, as they had sold out earlier in the day. Good sign! But I will be back! I also must say they have great prices. Everything was pretty much under $2 at $1.75... I love the famous bakery in olde town, but I bought four pastries here for 1/3 of what I would spend on 2 at the other one...give them a shot! The shear price is a selling point for me. I am a baker and it's hard to swallow spending $$$ on goods I could make at home. Mini pies here are awesome, so were the cinnamon bark and almond bark (like a strudel/rolled out cinnamon roll/coffee cake). Delicious! Glad they opened! read more

The best strudel I have eaten since my nana used to make it. I have had 3 different kinds and all of them the crust is flakey, but never dry. The filling is always yummy and generous. She also makes a fine French bread, really good pastries & I am going back to try other stuff. The service is excellent and friendly and the baker is open to suggestions. This place is freaking awesome !!!!! The breads , pastries and the service are fantastic ! !! ! This is far superior to any other bakery I have been to! You know that everything will be fresh when you go there . They donate everything that is left at the end of the day - love this policy ! !! It will be hard to keep from going there each day!
